SE PRESENTA UN METODO PARA ACONDICIONAR GASES EFLUENTES PARA MEJORAR LA ELIMINACION DE LAS CENIZAS MEDIANTE UN PRECIPITADOR ELECTROSTATICO, EL METODO EMPLEA UNA CONCENTRACION RELATIVAMENTE ALTA (4-7.5%) DE UN AGENTE ACONDICIONADOR DEL SO3. EL SO3 SE FORMA MEDIANTE LA COMBUSTION DEL AZUFRE Y UN EXCESO DE AIRE EN UN QUEMADOR DE AZUFRE PARA PRODUCIR UNA MEZCLA DE AIRE Y SO2 Y CONVERTIR EL SO2 EN SO3 EN UN CONVERTIDOR CATALITICO. LA PROPORCION DE AIRE CON RESPECTO AL AZUFRE SE MANTIENE CONSTANTE A LO LARGO DE UNA AMPLIA BANDA DE VELOCIDADES DE PRODUCCION DE SO3, Y EL AIRE NO SE CALIENTA DURANTE LA MAYORIA DE LAS VELOCIDADES DE PRODUCCION. LA MEZCLA DE AIRE Y SO2 DEL QUEMADOR DE AZUFRE SE ENFRIA SIN INCREMENTAR EL VOLUMEN DE LA MEZCLA GASEOSA.
