SE PRESENTA UN NUEVO PIGMENTO DE SILICATO MEZCLADO CON ZIRCONIO DOPADO, QUE TIENE UN TAMAÑO DE PARTICULA D50 DE 3 (MU)M O INFERIOR, Y UNA RELACION MOLAR DE DIOXIDO DE ZIRCONIO/DIOXIDO DE SILICIO QUE SE DESVIA DE LA RELACION ESTOIQUIOMETRICA Y SE ENCUENTRA EN LA BANDA DE ENTRE 1/1.5-1/36. ESTE NUEVO PIGMENTO ESTA DOPADO CON ENTRE UN 1 Y UN 25% POR PESO DE UN OXIDO DE METAL SUMINISTRADOR DE COLOR Y EXHIBE UNA GRAN FUERZA DE COLOR ASI COMO UNA BUENA TERMOESTABILIDAD. EL NUEVO PIGMENTO, QUE TIENE PARTICULAS ALTAMENTE FINAS, PUEDE USARSE PARA APLICACIONES CERAMICAS Y PARA COLOREAR CRISTAL, PERO ES TAMBIEN PARTICULARMENTE ADECUADO PARA APLICACIONES FUERA DEL CAMPO CERAMICO, EN PARTICULAR COMO COLORANTE EN PLASTICOS, GOMA, PINTURA, TINTA DE IMPRESION Y PRODUCTOS COSMETICOS. ADEMAS, SE HA ENCONTRADO UN NUEVO PIGMENTO DE SILICATO DE ZIRCONIO DOPADO SIMILAR, QUE TIENE UN TAMAÑO DE PARTICULA D50 QUE ES MAYOR DE 3(MU)M, LA RELACION MOLAR DEL DIOXIDO DE ZIRCONIO/DIOXIDO DE SILICIO SE ENCUENTRA EN LA BANDA DE ENTRE 1/4.9-1/36.
