Abstract
A composition for marking roads comprises (by weight) a fused mixture containing 90 to 92% sulphur, 3 to 5% liquid polysulphide polymer, 3 to 4% polyphenol sulphide and the balance chlorinated rubber and ethylene diaminine tetra acetate in proportions between 1:1 and 2:1. Glass beads may be incorporated in the composition which may be coloured with white or yellow pigments. In the example the liquid polysulphide polymer used had a M.W. of 1000, a viscosity of 10 poises, a pH of 5 to 6 and S.G. 1.27 and yellow pigments, titanium dioxide or silica flour are incorporated.
