LA PIROLISIS DE VACIO SE LLEVA A CABO A UNA TEMPERATURA EN LA BANDA DE ENTRE 450 Y 650 (GRADOS) C, BAJO PRESION SUBATMOSFERICA EN LA BANDA DE ENTRE 50 Y 200 MM DE MERCURIO DE MANERA QUE SE DESCOMPONGA TERMICAMENTE Y SE VAPORICE DE FORMA SUBSTANCIALMENTE COMPLETA LA MATERIAL ORGANICA ADHERIDA A LOS METALES, MIENTRAS SE MINIMIZA LA GENERACION DE GASES NO CONDENSABLES Y SE MAXIMIZA LA GENERACION DE VAPORES DE HIDROCARBONO CONDENSABLES. AL MENOS UN METAL SE SEPARA DEL RESIDUO SOLIDO, EL METAL SE RECUPERA EN FORMA NO OXIDADA Y SUBSTANCIALMENTE LIBRE DE CARBONO LISTO PARA SU RECICLADO DIRECTO. LOS VAPORES DE HIDROCARBONO PUEDEN CONDENSARSE MIENTRAS QUE SE SEPARA DE LOS MISMOS EL VAPORDE AGUA PARA OBTENER ACEITES DE HIDROCARBONOS LIBRES DE AGUA.
