Abstract

A damping cover for use on the rear of a carrier plate of a friction lining comprises a metal plate provided with a cold- setting self-adhesive damping layer on one side thereof. The free surface of the damping layer is coated with an antiblocking agent which is solid at room temperature but melts at a temperature of 50 to 150 DEG C. The blocking agent is preferably a styrene-acrylate copolymer or a copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate.
