POR MEDIO DE UN DISPOSITIVO DE EXPLORACION OPTICA APROPIADO, SE PUEDEN LEER SIMULTANEAMENTE CON AYUDA DE UN RAYO DE LUZ, TANTO LOS DATOS ARCHIVADOS POR MEDIO DE PITS COMO TAMBIEN LOS SITUADOS EN LA CAPA MAGNETICA. PARA SUPRIMIR LA DIAFONIA ENTRE LA SEÑAL DE DATOS (PS) OBTENIDA DE LOS PITS Y LA SEÑAL DE DATOS (MS) OBTENIDA DE LA CAPA MAGNETICA, ESTA PREVISTO UN MODULADOR ELECTRO-OPTICO (EOM), EL CUAL BARRE PERIODICAMENTE EN PARALELO Y EN VERTICAL A LA DIRECCION DE LA PISTA, EL VECTOR ELECTRICO (EV) DE LA LUZ ENFOCADA SOBRE EL SOPORTE DE DATOS (CD), CON UNA FRECUENCIA MUCHO MAYOR QUE LA FRECUENCIA DE LAS SEÑALES DE DATOS.
