EL MATERIAL DE ALIMENTACION SE INTRODUCE EN UN AUTOCLAVE O RECIPIENTE SIMILAR Y SE INYECTA CON VAPOR A UNA PRESION Y TEMPERATURA ELEVADAS DURANTE UN PERIODO DE TIEMPO CONTROLADO PARA LLEVAR A CABO UNA REESTRUCTURACION TERMICA DEL MATERIAL CARBONACEO Y PARA LLEVAR A CABO UNA CONVERSION DE HUMEDAD Y DE UNA PARTE DE LOS CONSTITUYENTES ORGANICOS VOLATILES DENTRO DE ELLA A UNA FASE GASEOSA.
