Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a simple mechanical holding part for securing pipe end fixedly to a base plate with no play in order to obtain a liquid-tight brazed joint withstanding high pressure. CONSTITUTION: Each opening in a base plate 3 (bottom face) is cleaved and the circumferential dimensions thereof are set smaller than those at the end of a flat pipe 5 being inserted. When the flat pipe 5 is inserted, the cleaved edge projecting in the inserting direction is enlarged in the circumferential direction and/or shrunk at the end of the flat pipe 5 and the cleaved edge is fitted to the circumferential surface of the flat pipe 5 with no play.
