EL INTERCAMBIO DE CALOR CON EL MEDIO DE ALMACENAMIENTO UTILIZA EL CALOR ESPECIFICO DEL MEDIO Y LA APARICION DE ENTALPIA DE LOS CAMBIOS QUIMICOS ENDOTERMICOS Y EXOTERMICOS REVERSIBLES PARA PROPORCIONAR UNAS ALTAS CAPACIDADES DE ALMACENAMIENTO TERMICO QUE PUEDEN AUMENTAR SI EL MARGEN INCLUYE UN CAMBIO DE FASE. EL MEDIO DE ALMACENAMIENTO TERMICO PUEDE SER UTILIZADO EN SISTEMAS DE ALMACENAMIENTO COMO POR EJEMPLO EN SISTEMAS DE ACONDICIONAMIENTO DE AIRE Y EN SISTEMAS DONDE LA ENERGIA TERMICA SE UTILIZA EN LUGARES REMOTOS A LA ESTACION DE CARGA.
