LA CORRIENTE DE ALIMENTACION ESTA EN CONTACTO CON UNA FASE ACUOSA DISPERSA QUE CONTIENE EMULSION DE MEMBRANA LIQUIDA, QUE EXTRAE LA SUSTANCIA DISUELTA AL GRADO DESEADO DE LA CORRIENTE DE ALIMENTACION Y LA ABSORBE EN LA EMULSION DE MEMBRANA LIQUIDA. LA FASE ACUOSA DISPERSA DE LA EMULSION CONTIENE UN REACTIVO QUE REACCIONA CON LA SUSTANCIA DISUELTA POR NEUTRALIZACION, HACIENDO QUE LA SUSTANCIA DISUELTA SE ACUMULE A UNA CONCENTRACION SIGNIFICATIVA EN LA EMULSION ANTES DE QUE LA EMULSION USADA SE SEPARE DE LA ALIMENTACION TRATADA Y COALESZA EN UNA MEMBRANA Y UNA BASE DE REACTIVO ACUOSO INTERNO USADO. LA FASE DE REACTIVO INTERNO ACUOSO GASTADO SE SOMETE A ELECTROLISIS EN UNA CELULA DE MEMBRANA BIPOLAR QUE REGENERA LA FASE AUOSA INTERNA CARGADA DE REACTIVO DISPERSADO A UNA COMPOSICION ADECUADA PARA RECICLAR A LA EMULSION, Y TRATAMIENTO POSTERIOR DE LA CORRIENTE DE ALIMENTACION.
