EL SISTEMA ESTA PREVISTO PARA PROTEGER CATODICAMENTE LA ESTRUCTURA METALICA SUMERGIDA DE EMBARCACIONES UTILIZANDO LA TECNICA DE CORRIENTE IMPRESA, ES DECIR, APLICANDO UN POTENCIAL NEGATIVO A LA ESTRUCTURA DE ACERO HASTA SITUARLO A UN POTENCIAL DE -800 MV. COMO FUENTE DE ENERGIA SE UTILIZA UNA CELULA FOTOVOLTAICA (1) CONECTADA A LA BATERIA (3) DE LA EMBARCACION (2) CON LA INTERPOSICION DE UN REGULADOR DE CARGA (5), INCLUYENDO EL SISTEMA UN REGULADOR AUTOMATICO (6) DE LA CORRIENTE APLICABLE AL RESPECTIVO ANODO (7).
