EL ELECTRODO DE LA INVENCION COMPRENDE UN SUSTRATO CONDUCTOR ELECTRICO RECUBIERTO CON OXIDOS DE COBALTO Y VOLFRAMIO. EL ELECTRODO ES PARTICULARMENTE ADECUADO COMO ANODO, PUESTO QUE LOS RECUBRIMIENTOS ELECTROCATALITICOS RESISTEN LA DESTRUCCION POR OXIGENO.
