Abstract

Cycle using, as process fluid, a mixture of water and another, less volatile substance, which cycle is applied to the recovery of energy from residual gases, with moderate temperatures of 773-873K, especially gas-turbine exhaust gases, in order, in conjunction, to form a combined cycle. Compared with the water-vapour cycles used customarily for this purpose, the proposed cycle offers better yields on account of the advantages offered, amongst others the intermediate recovery of heat and totally dry expansions in the turbine.
