Abstract

Procedimiento para la purificación de gases de humos y gases de escape por medio de un procedimiento en húmedo, caracterizado porque los gases de humos y gases de escape que contienen dióxido de azufre, óxidos de nitrógeno, sulfuro de hidrógeno, sulfuro de carbono, compuestos orgánicos de azufre y/o hidrocarburos, y que pueden contener, además, otros contaminantes gaseosos, se hacen pasar primeramente por una solución acuosa, caliente, de ácido nítrico que se encuentra en un reactor a aproximadamente 40 95 C, preferentemente a aproximadamente 90 95 C, que contiene ácido sulfúrico, ácido fosfórico y/o ácidos de Lewis, con buena mezcladura a fondo y sometiendo a continuación la mezcla de gas y vapor procedente del reactor de ácido a una condensación parcial a un intervalo de temperaturas inferior a 40 C hasta 90 C, de preferencia aproximadamente 80 90 C, devolviéndose al reactor el condensado obtenido y evacuándose al aire los gases de humos y gases de escape obtenidos de este modo.
