Abstract

Improvements to systems for extracting smoke (fumes) in domestic and industrial hoods, formed by the inclusion of a valve consisting of a tubular body which can be coupled to the vertical exit zone of the hood, in which, on an inner diametrical shaft, freely rock two semicircular flaps which, in the horizontal position rest on the edge of an inner rim and in the open position make contact with a diametrical upper stop which prevents both of them reaching the vertical and making contact with one another. Through the action of the extractor, these flaps open, allowing the extracted smoke to pass and, when the turbulence ceases, they close the passage hermetically under gravity preventing the entry of pieces of plaster into the general smoke-exit collector.
