Abstract

Between each pair of posts of the fence equipped with classical means of tensioning for the cables or wire elements 1, there is a hollow post 4 and in it, and connecting two different cables, a sensor embodied as a strip 7 of a magnetostrictive amorphous material which passes axially through a pair of electromagnetic coils 9 and 10 mounted on a common support 11 and one acting as a primary and the other as a secondary. The strip 7 is fixed via its ends and by means of clamps 8 or by any other means to the cables 1, which it forces to modify their path so that the voltage in them is transmitted to the actual metallic glass strip, in such a manner that variations in the voltage of said strip 7 give rise to modifications in the magnetic permeability of the core of the coils, with the result that, for a specific excitation current in the primary, a detectable variation is produced in the induced voltage in the secondary of the sensor.
