A device for transferring piles of products (P) for packaging includes a rotary element (5) with a plurality of cells (11) for receiving piles of products (P). The cells orbit in a path which includes a descending portion (H) between the output opening (9) of a device (4) for forming piles of products and a conveyor (3) on which an ordered flow of piles of superposed products is to be formed.
