Abstract

The vest includes a front panel 4 and a pocket 1 capable of accommodating and supporting an immobile or immobilized arm. The positioning of the pocket may be adjustable and a strap 5b may be provided to support the top edge of the pocket. The inside of the pocket may be padded and the pocket may be elasticated at least in the region of the elbow. The pocket may be lined with or fashioned from heat retaining material and may have air holes 17. Arm retaining means 8 may instead be provided at the elbow, hand or fingers. Fastening means for the vest may be located at one side or at the back of the vest (3,Fig.2).
