Abstract
The projectiles are of great length, in fuselage form in which the calibre of the stabiliser fins is greater than that of the projectile itself which can be equal to the bore of the mortar, or sub-calibre with removable or retractable fitted bands. The fins are expandable and form superstabilising secant sub-fins. - The projectile is completed with interconnected supplementary parts forming a massive cylindrical package which cannot be disassembled, and some combustible protective sheaths held by the head of the propellant cartridge in the case of breech-loading or in the form of a hollow cylinder divided longitudinally into two sections in the case of muzzle-loading.
