Abstract

A process for the reproduction of pictures on a support, such as painter's canvas, comprises the steps of: preparing a temporary laminar support by application of a preferably silk screen printing varnish consisting of acrylic, vinylic, polyester and/or melamine resins, solvents including butylglycol acetate, cyclohexanol acetate, butyleneglycol, butylglycol, ethylglycol and isophorone, plasticisers including butyl phthalate, diethyl phthalate and dioctyl phthalate and pigments colour printing from an original onto the support, using an ink made of the foregoing ingredients drying the printing and transferring the same to the canvas, to which end the support is turned round and engaged by way of its printed side with the canvas, pressure and heat or heat alone being applied before the temporary support is removed.
