SEGUN ESTE PROCEDIMIENTO E INSTALACION PARA LA RECUPERACION DE OXIDOS DE NITROGENO PROCEDENTES DE PLANTAS INDUSTRIALES, LOS OXIDOS DE NITROGENO QUE CONTIENEN LOS GASES DE EMISION DE PLANTAS QUIMICAS, CENTRALES TERMICAS O EN GENERAL PROCEDENTES DE PROCESOS DE COMBUSTION, COMO LOS DE LA CHIMENEA DE COLA DE LAS INSTALACIONES DE FABRICACION DE ACIDO NITRICO, PUEDEN ABSORBERSE Y ELIMINARSE MEDIANTE ACIDO SULFURICO DE DETERMINADA CONCENTRACION A TEMPERATURA AMBIENTE EN UN APARATO DE CONTACTO GAS-LIQUIDO CONVENCIONAL CON FORMACION DE ACIDO NITROSILSULFURICO Y OXIDOS DE NITROGENO DISUELTOS EN LA FASE LIQUIDA. EL LIQUIDO RESULTANTE SE PROCESA A TEMPERATURA ELEVADA EN OTRO APARATO DE CONTACTO GAS-LIQUIDO CONVENCIONAL DONDE MEDIANTE AIRE CALIENTE Y/O VAPOR SE ARRASTRAN LOS OXIDOS DE NITROGENO CONCENTRADOS EN CORRIENTE GASEOSA, LA CUAL PUEDE INCORPORARSE BIEN COMO MATERIA PRIMA EN EL PROCESO DE FABRICACION EXISTENTE DE LA PLANTA DE ACIDO NITRICO O BIEN UTILIZARSE PARA FABRICAR DIRECTAMENTE ACIDO NITRICO CON AGUA, REGENERANDOSE DE ESTA MANERA LA CORRIENTE DE ACIDO SULFURICO CONCENTRADO INICIAL.
