Abstract

Device for assisting handicapped people in accessing swimming pools or surfaces at a different level, comprising a frame that can be transported by means of wheels (7), which is provided with a system of immobilization that employs chocks (8) and a locking microswitch, which vertically supports a structure (5) to which is secured an electric motor that actuates a worm connected to the lower part of an arm (1) that can rock in the vertical direction by means of a shaft, the upper part of which has an articulated assembly (2) coupled thereto which causes a chair connected to said assembly to undergo a rotary movement in the vertical direction. The chair has a sprocket that interacts with a component that is also toothed, in order to adjust the boarding position. The invention proposes a stand-alone, electric item of assistance equipment that is easy for the actual user to move and to handle.
