Ein akustisches Kamerasystem (1), weist eine Mikrofoneinheit (3) und ein mobiles Endgerät (2), insbesondere ein Tablet oder Smartphone auf, wobei das mobile Endgerät eine Kamera (22), eine Datenschnittstelle (41) und eine Anzeige (25) umfasst. Die Mikrofoneinheit (3) umfasst eine Datenschnittstelle (42), die über eine Verbindung (4) mit der Datenschnittstelle (41) des mobilen Endgeräts (2) gekoppelt oder koppelbar ist. Die Mikrofoneinheit (3) umfasst ein Mikrofonarray (32) mit einer Mehrzahl Mikrophonen (32a) und einer Auswerteeinheit (31), die Daten von den Mikrofonen (32a) empfängt.

Description

  • Die Erfindung betrifft ein akustisches Kamerasystem.
  • Entsprechende Kamerasysteme werden eingesetzt, um Schallquellen zu orten und auf einer Anzeige zu visualisieren. Dabei wird eine Schallquelle über ein Mikrofonarray erfasst, so dass räumliche akustische Daten über die Schallquelle zur Verfügung stehen. Gleichzeitig wird der Bereich der Schallquelle mittels einer Kamera aufgenommen. Führt man die erfassten räumlichen Signaldaten aus dem MikrofonArray mit dem aufgezeichneten Videobild zusammen, so lässt sich die Schallquelle in dem Videobild identifizieren.
  • Aufgrund der Fülle von Daten, die durch das Aufzeichnen der über das Mikrofonarray erfassten akustischen Signale entstehen, ist eine verhältnismäßig hohe Rechenleistung erforderlich, um entsprechende Daten in Echtzeit zu verarbeiten.
  • Aufgrund der erforderlichen Rechenleistung sind der Anwendung gerade bei mobilem Einsatz einer akustischen Kamera Grenzen gesetzt. Das liegt daran, dass die herkömmlichen tragbaren mobilen Endgeräte in der Regel nicht mit Kapazitäten ausgestattet sind, die die Verarbeitung komplexer Signale in Echtzeit ermöglichen.
  • Der Erfindung liegt daher die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein akustisches Kamerasystem der eingangs genannten Art dahingehend weiterzuentwickeln, dass es sich insbesondere für den mobilen Einsatz eignet.
  • Gelöst wird diese Aufgabe durch ein akustisches Kamerasystem mit den Merkmalen von Anspruch 1. Vorteilhafte Ausführungsformen finden sich in den Unteransprüchen.
  • Ein erfindungsgemäßes akustisches Kamerasystem weist eine Mikrofoneinheit und ein mobiles Endgerät, insbesondere ein Tablet oder Smartphone auf, wobei das mobile Endgerät eine Kamera, eine Datenschnittstelle und eine Anzeige umfasst. Hierbei wird bewusst als Basisgerät auf mobile Endgeräte zurückgegriffen, die gebräuchlich und deshalb vielfach im Markt vorhanden sind. Dabei umfasst die Mikrofoneinheit des erfindungsgemäßen akustischen Kamerasystems eine Datenschnittstelle, die über eine Verbindung mit der Datenschnittstelle des mobilen Endgeräts gekoppelt oder koppelbar ist. Die Mikrofoneinheit ist also eine Ergänzung zum mobilen Endgerät und über eine entsprechende Schnittstelle mit diesem verbunden. Des Weiteren umfasst die Mikrofoneinheit des erfindungsgemäßen akustischen Kamerasystems ein Mikrofonarray mit einer Mehrzahl Mikrofone und eine Auswerteeinheit, die Daten von den Mikrofonen empfängt. Mit dem Mikrofonarray lassen sich die Schallquellen richtungsmäßig und räumlich auflösen. Da die Auswertung der von dem Mikrofonarray gesammelten Daten ein mobiles Endgerät stark beanspruchen bis überbeanspruchen kann, wird eine eigenständige Auswerteeinheit in der Mikrofoneinheit untergebracht, die die Daten auswertet oder zumindest vorauswertet.
  • Bevorzugt umfasst die Auswerteeinheit einen FPGA oder ASIC. Damit kann eine für die Mikrofoneinheit spezifische Auswerteeinheit eingesetzt werden, die vorprogrammiert oder vor Ort programmierbar ist. Durch den Einsatz von anwendungsspezifischen Standardprodukten können dabei Kosten gesenkt werden.
  • Es hat sich dabei als vorteilhaft erwiesen, dass die Mikrofoneinheit über die Spannungsversorgung, insbesondere in Gestalt eines Akkus, des mobilen Endgeräts über die Verbindung mit Spannung versorgt wird. Dies erlaubt es, die Mikrofoneinheit kompakt und leicht zu bauen, womit das gesamte akustische Kamerasystem als mobiles Gerät leicht zu handhaben ist.
  • Dabei ist es ebenfalls von Vorteil, wenn die Mikrofoneinheit über eine mechanische Kopplung mit dem mobilen Endgerät verbunden oder verbindbar ist. Dies verstärkt die Einheit von mobilem Endgerät und Mikrofoneinheit, was den Charakter einer mobilen akustischen Kamera unterstreicht.
  • Als besonders vorteilhaft hat es sich erwiesen, wenn auf dem mobilen Endgerät eine Software installiert ist, die dazu eingerichtet ist, Daten der Auswerteeinheit zu empfangen oder an die Auswerteeinheit zu übermitteln, oder/und Informationen betreffend die von der Auswerteeinheit erzeugten Daten und/oder ein von der Kamera erzeugtes Bild oder Video auf der Anzeige anzuzeigen. Die auf dem mobilen Endgerät installierte Software ist so eingerichtet, dass sie mit der Auswerteeinheit der Mikrofoneinheit kommuniziert. Dabei kann sie beispielsweise Bilder der optischen Kamera übermitteln und die ausgewerteten Daten der Mikrofoneinheit speichern und/oder über die im mobilen Endgerät verfügbaren Ausgabeeinheiten wie Bildschirm und/oder Lautsprecher/Kopfhörer zur Verfügung zu stellen. Wird beispielsweise das Bild der akustischen Kamera mit dem der optischen kombiniert, kann eine Geräuschquelle leicht geortet werden, wobei dann eine akustische Ausgabe des Geräusches über den Lautsprecher/Kopfhörer dem Benutzer weitere Informationen geben kann.
  • Bei der optischen Ausgabe hat es sich als besonderer Vorteil erwiesen, wenn die Anzeigeeinheit als Touchscreen ausgebildet ist. Durch die Auswahl bestimmter Bereiche kann das Mikrofonarray auf bestimmte ausgewählte Punkte konzentriert werden, um bestimmte Schallquellen genauer zu betrachten.
  • Anhand eines Ausführungsbeispiels soll die Erfindung mit den folgenden Figuren näher erläutert werden.

  • Figur 2 zeigt in perspektivischer Darstellung die beiden Hauptelemente 2, 3 eines akustischen Kamerasystems 1. In diesem Ausführungsbeispiel handelt es sich bei dem mobilen Endgerät 2 um ein Smartphone, das von der Rückseite 26 her gezeigt wird, weil es nicht sinnvoll wäre, die Mikrofoneinheit 3 vorne auf der Anzeige 25, dem Bildschirm, anzuordnen. Oben links auf der Rückseite 26 ist die optische Kamera 22 angeordnet. Weiterhin wichtig für das akustische Kamerasystem 1 ist die Datenschnittstelle 41 des mobilen Endgerätes 2.
  • Oberhalb des mobilen Endgerätes 2 ist die Mikrofoneinheit 3 dargestellt. Auf der dem mobilen Endgerät 2 abgewandten Seite ist ein Mikrofonarray 32, bestehend aus einer Mehrzahl von Mikrofonen 32a, angeordnet. Das Mikrofonarray 32 ist mit der Auswerteeinheit 31 gekoppelt, die über eine Verbindung mit einer dem mobilen Endgerät angepassten Datenschnittstelle 42 versehen ist.
  • In Figur 1 sind die beiden Teile 2, 3 des akustischen Kamerasystems 1, das mobile Endgerät 2 und die Mikrofoneinheit 3 zusammengefügt. Die Datenschnittstelle der Mikrofoneinheit 42 ist mit der Datenschnittstelle 41 des mobilen Endgerätes 2 verbunden, wodurch das akustische Kamerasystem in Betrieb genommen wird/werden kann. Die Mikrofoneinheit 3 ist dabei lösbar an der Rückseite 26 des mobilen Endgeräts 2 angeordnet. In dieser Ausführungsform sind die Abmessungen der Mikrofoneinheit 3 geringer als die des mobilen Endgerätes 2. Das hat den Vorteil, dass die Kräfte, die die Mikrofoneinheit 2 auf dem mobilen Endgerät 2 festhalten, gering sein können, da den Kräften, die die Mikrofoneinheit 3 von dem mobilen Endgerät 2 abheben könnten, wenig Angriffsfläche geboten wird. Somit kann die Mikrofoneinheit 3 so ausgelegt werden, dass sie durch Van-der-Waals-Kräfte, leichten Klebekräften oder anderen Adhäsionskräften gehalten wird. Auch kann in diesem Fall die Mikrofoneinheit 3 recht flexibel gehalten werden, da eine Formstabilität durch das Anschmiegen an das mobile Endgerät 2 gegeben wird. Natürlich sind auch andere Befestigungsmöglichkeiten denkbar, beispielsweise magnetische Verbindungen oder Form- oder/und Kraftschlussverbindungen wie etwa Clipsverbindungen. Eine größere Fläche der Mikrofoneinheit 3 erhöht zwar die Auflösung bei den Messungen, erfordert aber eine größere innere Stabilität, was das akustische Kamerasystem 1 schwerer handhabbar machen würde.
  • Figur 3 zeigt das Blockschaltbild eines erfindungsgemäßen akustischen Kamerasystems 1. Das mobile Endgerät 2 verfügt über eine Spannungsversorgung 20 zum Betrieb des Gerätes. Auf dem mobilen Endgerät 2 ist eine Software 21 installiert, die über ein Interface 24 mit der Kamera 22 und möglicherweise anderen Sensoren 23 kommuniziert und die Ausgabe 25, einen Bildschirm und/oder einen Lautsprecher steuern kann.
  • Wird die Mikrofoneinheit 3 über die Verbindung 4 mit den Schnittstellen 41, 42 mit dem mobilen Endgerät 2 verbunden, so wird die Mikrofoneinheit durch die Verbindung ebenfalls mit Spannung 30 versorgt, falls die Mikrofoneinheit 3 nicht über eine eigene Spannungsversorgung 30 verfügt. Mittels eines Befestigungssystems 33 wird die Mikrofoneinheit an dem mobilen Endgerät 2 angeordnet, was bevorzugt an der Rückseite 26 des mobilen Endgerätes 2 erfolgt.
  • Die Auswerteeinheit 31 analysiert die Daten vom Mikrofonarray 32 und gibt die Auswertedaten via Verbindung 4 an die Software 21 weiter. Je nach Einstellung kann die Software 21 die Daten von dem Mikrofonarray 32 mit den Bildern einer geräteeigenen optischen Kamera 22 kombinieren und auf der Anzeige 25 darstellen. So kann in Echtzeit eine akustische Analyse erfolgen und akustische Störungen erkannt und eventuell beseitigt werden. Hierzu kann die Software 21 die Auswerteeinheit 31 so steuern, dass sie sich auf bestimmte Raumrichtungen und Entfernungen konzentriert und so ein detaillierteres Bild der Umgebung möglich macht.
  • Es ist auch möglich, dass die Software 21 die Auswertedaten der Auswerteeinheit 31 zusammen mit Daten von Sensoren und/oder der optischen Kamera 22 speichert und sie so einer späteren umfangreichen Auswertung zuführt.
  • Durch ein erfindungsgemäßes akustisches Kamerasystem 1 steht ein leichtes und kostengünstiges Gerät zur Verfügung, das einen schnellen, einfachen Einsatz im Feld erlaubt. Kostengünstig vor allem dadurch, dass ein gebräuchliches mobiles Endgerät 2 benutzt wird, und "lediglich" eine entsprechende Software aufgespielt und eine Mikrofoneinheit damit verbunden werden muss.
  • Auch ist es möglich, bei dem Mikrofonarray 32 die Anzahl der Mikrofone 32a zu verändern. Werden weniger Mikrofone 32a verwandt, so sinken der Energiebedarf und die Auswertezeit, wobei allerdings die räumliche Auflösung abnimmt. Erfolgt die Auswahl der Mikrofone 32a elektronisch, so kann mit wenigen Mikrofonen 32a energiesparend ein akustischer Überblick erstellt werden. Bei interessanten Stellen kann eine Feinanalyse durch Hinzuschalten weiterer Mikrofone 32a durchgeführt werden, um die räumliche und akustische Auflösung zu erhöhen.

Claims (6)

  1. Akustisches Kamerasystem (1), aufweisend eine Mikrofoneinheit (3) und ein mobiles Endgerät (2), insbesondere ein Tablet oder Smartphone, wobei das mobile Endgerät eine Kamera (22), eine Datenschnittstelle (41) und eine Anzeige (25) umfasst, wobei die Mikrofoneinheit (3) eine Datenschnittstelle (42) umfasst, die über eine Verbindung (4) mit der Datenschnittstelle (41) des mobilen Endgeräts (2) gekoppelt oder koppelbar ist, wobei die Mikrofoneinheit (3) ein Mikrofonarray (32) mit einer Mehrzahl Mikrophone (32a) und eine Auswerteeinheit (31) umfasst, die Daten von den Mikrofonen (32a) empfängt.
  2. Akustisches Kamerasystem (1) nach Anspruch 1, bei welchem die Auswerteeinheit (31) einen FPGA oder ASIC umfasst.
  3. Akustisches Kamerasystem (1) nach einem der vorigen Ansprüche, bei welchem die Mikrofoneinheit (3) über die Spannungsversorgung (20), insbesondere in Gestalt eines Akkus des mobilen Endgeräts (2) über die Verbindung (4) mit Spannung versorgt wird.
  4. Akustisches Kamerasystem (1) nach einem der vorigen Ansprüche, bei welchem die Mikrofoneinheit (3) über eine mechanische Kopplung mit dem mobilen Endgerät (2) verbunden oder verbindbar ist.
  5. Akustisches Kamerasystem (1) nach einem der vorigen Ansprüche, bei welchem auf dem mobilen Endgerät eine Software (21) installiert ist, die dazu eingerichtet ist, Daten der Auswerteeinheit (31) zu empfangen oder an die Auswerteeinheit (31) zu übermitteln, oder/und Informationen betreffend die von der Auswerteeinheit (31) erzeugten Daten und/oder ein von der Kamera (22) erzeugtes Bild oder Video auf der Anzeige (25) anzuzeigen.
  6. Akustisches Kamerasystem (1) nach einem der vorigen Ansprüche, bei welchem die Anzeigeeinheit als Touchscreen ausgebildet ist.
