Abstract

The present disclosure provides a waste container, which belongs to the technical field of waste containers. The waste container includes a container defining an opening at a top thereof, a lid attached to the container, and a linkage mechanism attached to an interior of the container. A central channel is provided inside the container. The lid is configured to pivotably open or close the opening. The linkage mechanism includes an actuation assembly attached to the lid and a clamping assembly attached to the interior of the container. The clamping assembly is configured to move between a clamping position and a released position. The clamping assembly closes the central channel when in the clamping position. The clamping assembly opens the central channel when in the released position. When the lid is closed from an open state, an actuation of the actuation assembly allows the clamping assembly to move from the clamping position to the released position and then to the clamping position.

Description

    TECHNICAL FIELD
  • The present disclosure belongs to the technical field of waste containers, and specifically relates to a waste container.
  • BACKGROUND
  • Waste containers are commonly used daily necessities. A waste container has a lid for opening or closing the opening at the top of the waste container. Once pressed, the lid can automatically pop open. In this case, unpleasant smell will emanate from the waste container, making the user feel uncomfortable.
  • SUMMARY
  • An objective of the present disclosure is to provide a waste container to solve the above problems in the prior art.
  • Technical solutions: A waste container is provided. The waste container includes a container defining an opening at a top of the container, a lid attached to the container, and a linkage mechanism attached to an interior of the container. A central channel is provided inside the container. The lid is configured to pivotably open or close the opening. The linkage mechanism includes an actuation assembly attached to the lid and a clamping assembly attached to the interior of the container. The clamping assembly is configured to move between a clamping position and a released position. The clamping assembly closes the central channel when in the clamping position. The clamping assembly opens the central channel when in the released position. When the lid is closed from an open state, an actuation of the actuation assembly allows the clamping assembly to move from the clamping position to the released position and then to the clamping position.
  • In an embodiment, the clamping assembly includes at least two clamp plates attached to the interior of the container and a transmission element attached to the at least two clamp plates.
  • In an embodiment, the transmission element includes protrusions respectively attached to the at least two clamp plates.
  • In an embodiment, the transmission element includes at least two cranks pivotably attached to the interior of the container and a connecting rod attached between each of the at least two cranks and a respective one of the at least two clamp plates, where the protrusions are respectively provided on the at least two cranks.
  • In an embodiment, the clamping assembly further includes a guide channel arranged in the container, and the guide channel is configured to define a trajectory for a movement of the at least two clamp plates between the clamping position and the released position.
  • In an embodiment, the actuation assembly includes an actuating lever and at least two actuating blocks attached to the actuating lever; an end of the actuating lever is slidably attached to the lid; the at least two actuating blocks are configured to move between a retracted position and a stretched position; in the retracted position, the at least two actuating blocks are respectively retracted into grooves on the actuating lever; and in the stretched position, the at least two actuating blocks are respectively stretched out of the grooves on the actuating lever.
  • In an embodiment, the actuation assembly further includes a first reset element, and the first reset element is arranged between each of the at least two actuating blocks and the actuating lever.
  • In an embodiment, the first reset element is a spring or a torsion spring.
  • In an embodiment, the actuation assembly further includes a second reset element, and the second reset element is arranged between the at least two clamp plates.
  • In an embodiment, the second reset element is arranged between each of the at least two cranks and the interior of the container.

  • In an embodiment, the container includes a second housing therein, and the guide channel is arranged on a surface of the second housing opposite to the at least two clamp plates.
  • In an embodiment, at least two limiting pieces are arranged on the second housing, and a surface of each of the at least two cranks opposite to a respective limiting piece of the at least two limiting pieces abuts against the respective limiting piece.
  • In an embodiment, two connecting pieces are arranged on a surface of the lid opposite to the actuating lever, and a bottom of each of the two connecting pieces is located in the container and is slidably attached to the actuating lever.
  • In an embodiment, a guide groove is provided on a surface of the actuating lever opposite to the second housing, a bump is arranged on a surface of the second housing opposite to the actuating lever, and the bump is slidably engaged in the guide groove.
  • In conclusion, the present disclosure has the following advantages.

When the lid of the waste container of the present disclosure is opened from a closed state, the actuation of the actuation assembly allows the clamping assembly to remain in the clamping position to close the central channel to enclose a part of a garbage bag passing through the clamping assembly, thereby preventing unpleasant smell from emanating from the container to make the user feel uncomfortable.
    2. 2. When the lid of the waste container of the present disclosure is closed from an open state, the actuation of the actuation assembly allows the clamping assembly to move from the clamping position to the released position to open the central channel to allow waste to reach an enclosed end of the garbage bag below the clamping assembly. Therefore, the waste container is easy to use.
    3. 3. When the lid of the waste container of the present disclosure is closed from the open state, the actuation of the actuation assembly allows the clamping assembly to move from the clamping position to the released position and then to the clamping position to close the central channel, to enclose again the part of the garbage bag passing through the clamping assembly. Therefore, the waste container is clean and sanitary.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENTS
  • In the following description, numerous specific details are given to provide a more thorough understanding of the present disclosure. However, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the present disclosure can be practiced without one or more of these details. In some other examples, to avoid confusion with the present disclosure, some technical features well known in the art are not described.
  • Embodiment 1
  • As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, this embodiment discloses a waste container, including a container 1 defining an opening 10 at a top thereof, a lid 2 attached to the container 1, and a linkage mechanism 3 attached to an interior of the container 1. A central channel 11 is provided inside the container 1. The lid 2 is configured to pivotably open or close the opening 10. The linkage mechanism includes an actuation assembly 5 attached to the lid 2 and a clamping assembly 4 attached to the interior of the container 1. The clamping assembly 4 is configured to move between a clamping position and a released position. The clamping assembly 4 closes the central channel 11 when in the clamping position. The clamping assembly 4 opens the central channel 11 when in the released position. When the lid 2 is opened from a closed state, the actuation of the actuation assembly 5 allows the clamping assembly 4 to remain in the clamping position to close the central channel 11 to enclose a part of a garbage bag passing through the clamping assembly 4. When the lid 2 is closed from an open state, the actuation of the actuation assembly 5 allows the clamping assembly 4 to move from the clamping position to the released position and then to the clamping position to allow waste to reach an enclosed end of the garbage bag below the clamping assembly 4 and to enclose again the part of the garbage bag passing through the clamping assembly 4.
  • As shown in FIG. 2, the clamping assembly 4 includes two clamp plates 40 attached to the interior of the container 1 and a transmission element 41 attached to the two clamp plates 40.
  • As shown in FIG. 3, the transmission element 41 includes protrusions 410 respectively attached to the two clamp plates 40.
  • As shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, the actuation assembly 5 includes an actuating lever 50 and two actuating blocks 51 attached to the actuating lever 50. An end of the actuating lever 50 is slidably attached to the lid 2. The two actuating blocks 51 are configured to move between a retracted position and a stretched position. In the retracted position, the two actuating blocks 51 are respectively retracted into grooves on the actuating lever 50, so that when the lid 2 is opened from the closed state and causes the actuating lever 50 to move upward, the two actuating blocks 51 pass through between the two protrusions 410. In the stretched position, the two actuating blocks 51 are respectively stretched out of the grooves on the actuating lever 50, so that when the lid 2 is closed from the open state and causes the actuating lever 50 to move downward, the two actuating blocks 51 press against the two protrusions 410, to cause the two clamp plates 40 to move from the clamping position to the released position.
  • As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the actuation assembly 5 further includes a first reset element 52, and the first reset element 52 is arranged between each of the actuating blocks 51 and the actuating lever 50. In the stretched position, the first reset element 52 is configured to allow a respective one of the two actuating blocks 51 to stretch out of a respective one of the grooves on the actuating lever 50.
  • As shown in FIG. 1, the first reset element 52 is a spring.
  • As shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, the actuation assembly 5 further includes second reset elements 53 arranged between the two clamp plates 40. When the lid 2 is opened from the closed state, the second reset elements 53 allow the two clamp plates 40 to remain in the clamping position. When the lid 2 is closed from the open state, the second reset elements 53 allow the two clamp plates 40 to move from the released position to the clamping position.
  • As shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, the second reset elements 53 each are a tension spring.
  • Embodiment 2
  • As shown in FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, this embodiment discloses a waste container, including a container 1 defining an opening 10 at a top thereof, a lid 2 attached to the container 1, and a linkage mechanism 3 attached to an interior of the container 1. A central channel 11 is provided inside the container 1. The lid 2 is configured to pivotably open or close the opening 10. The linkage mechanism includes an actuation assembly 5 attached to the lid 2 and a clamping assembly 4 attached to the interior of the container 1. The clamping assembly 4 is configured to move between a clamping position and a released position. The clamping assembly 4 closes the central channel 11 when in the clamping position. The clamping assembly 4 opens the central channel 11 when in the released position. When the lid 2 is opened from a closed state, the actuation of the actuation assembly 5 allows the clamping assembly 4 to remain in the clamping position to close the central channel 11 to enclose a part of a garbage bag passing through the clamping assembly 4. When the lid 2 is closed from an open state, the actuation of the actuation assembly 5 allows the clamping assembly 4 to move from the clamping position to the released position and then to the clamping position to allow waste to reach an enclosed end of the garbage bag below the clamping assembly 4 and to enclose again a part of the garbage bag passing through the clamping assembly 4.
  • As shown in FIG. 1, the container 1 includes a first housing therein, the first housing is connected to the opening 10 and forms an accommodating compartment which is circumferentially enclosed and has an opening at a top thereof, and the central channel 11 is defined by an inner surface of the first housing.
  • As shown in FIG. 1, a garbage bag box is arranged in the accommodating compartment.
  • As shown in FIG. 5, the clamping assembly 4 includes at least two clamp plates 40 attached to the interior of the container 1 and a transmission element 41 attached to the at least two clamp plates 40.
  • As shown in FIG. 6, the transmission element 41 includes four cranks 411 pivotably attached to the interior of the container 1 and a connecting rod 412 attached between each of the cranks 411 and a respective one of the clamp plates 40, each of the four cranks 411 is connected to a respective one of the four cranks 411 through a transmission rod, and two of the four cranks 411 respectively include protrusions 410.
  • As shown in FIG. 6, a cross-section of the transmission rod is rectangular.
  • As shown in FIG. 5, the clamping assembly 4 further includes a guide channel 413 arranged in the container 1, and the guide channel 413 is configured to define a trajectory for a movement of the at least two clamp plates 40 between the clamping position and the released position.
  • As shown in FIG. 5 and FIG. 9, the container 1 includes a second housing therein, and the guide channel 413 is arranged on a surface of the second housing opposite to the at least two clamp plates 40.
  • As shown in FIG. 5, two limiting pieces are arranged on the second housing, and a surface of each of two of the four cranks 411 opposite to a respective limiting piece of the two limiting pieces abuts against the respective limiting piece.
  • As shown in FIG. 5 and FIG. 6, the actuation assembly 5 includes an actuating lever 50 and two actuating blocks 51 attached to the actuating lever 50. An end of the actuating lever 50 is slidably attached to the lid 2. The two actuating blocks 51 are configured to move between a retracted position and a stretched position. In the retracted position, the two actuating blocks 51 are respectively retracted into grooves on the actuating lever 50, so that when the lid 2 is opened from the closed state and causes the actuating lever 50 to move upward, the two actuating blocks 51 pass through between the two protrusions 410. In the stretched position, the two actuating blocks 51 are respectively stretched out of the grooves on the actuating lever 50, so that when the lid 2 is closed from the open state and causes the actuating lever 50 to move downward, the two actuating blocks 51 press against the two protrusions 410, to cause the two clamp plates 40 to move from the clamping position to the released position.
  • As shown in FIG. 5, two connecting pieces are arranged on a surface of the lid 2 opposite to the actuating lever 50, and a bottom of each of the two connecting pieces is located in the container 1 and is slidably attached to the actuating lever 50.
  • As shown in FIG. 7 and FIG. 8, a guide groove is provided on a surface of the actuating lever 50 opposite to the second housing, a bump is arranged on a surface of the second housing opposite to the actuating lever 50, and the bump is slidably engaged in the guide groove.
  • As shown in FIG. 5, the actuation assembly 5 further includes a first reset element 52, and the first reset element 52 is arranged between each of the actuating blocks 51 and the actuating lever 50. In the stretched position, the first reset element 52 is configured to allow a respective one of the two actuating blocks 51 to stretch out of a respective one of the grooves on the actuating lever 50.
  • As shown in FIG. 5, the first reset element 52 is a torsion spring.
  • As shown in FIG. 5 and FIG. 6, the actuation assembly 5 further includes a second reset element 53 arranged between each of the actuating blocks 51 and the interior of the container 1. When the lid 2 is closed from the open state, the second reset elements 53 allow the two clamp plates 40 to move from the released position to the clamping position.
  • As shown in FIG. 6, the second reset element 53 is a torsion spring.
  • Preferred embodiments of the present disclosure have been described in detail above in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, but the present disclosure is not limited to the specific details in the above embodiments. Various equivalent modifications can be made to the technical solutions of the present disclosure without departing from the scope of the technical concept of the present disclosure. Such equivalent modifications shall all fall within the protection scope of the present disclosure.

Claims (9)

  1. A waste container, characterized by comprising:
    a container defining an opening at a top of the container, wherein a central channel is provided inside the container;
    a lid, wherein the lid is attached to the container and is configured to pivotably open or close the opening; and
    a linkage mechanism, wherein the linkage mechanism is attached to an interior of the container;
    wherein the linkage mechanism comprises an actuation assembly attached to the lid and a clamping assembly attached to the interior of the container; the clamping assembly is configured to move between a clamping position and a released position; the clamping assembly closes the central channel when in the clamping position; the clamping assembly opens the central channel when in the released position; and
    when the lid is closed from an open state, an actuation of the actuation assembly allows the clamping assembly to move from the clamping position to the released position and then to the clamping position.
  2. The waste container according to claim 1, characterized in that the clamping assembly comprises at least two clamp plates attached to the interior of the container and a transmission element attached to the at least two clamp plates.
  3. The waste container according to claim 2, characterized in that the transmission element comprises protrusions respectively attached to the at least two clamp plates.
  4. The waste container according to claim 3, characterized in that the transmission element comprises at least two cranks pivotably attached to the interior of the container and a connecting rod attached between each of the at least two cranks and a respective one of the at least two clamp plates, wherein the protrusions are respectively provided on the at least two cranks.
  5. The waste container according to claim 4, characterized in that the clamping assembly further comprises a guide channel arranged in the container, and the guide channel is configured to define a trajectory for a movement of the at least two clamp plates between the clamping position and the released position.
  6. The waste container according to claim 1, characterized in that the actuation assembly comprises an actuating lever and at least two actuating blocks attached to the actuating lever; an end of the actuating lever is slidably attached to the lid; the at least two actuating blocks are configured to move between a retracted position and a stretched position; in the retracted position, the at least two actuating blocks are respectively retracted into grooves on the actuating lever; and in the stretched position, the at least two actuating blocks are respectively stretched out of the grooves on the actuating lever.
  7. The waste container according to claim 6, characterized in that the actuation assembly further comprises a first reset element, and the first reset element is arranged between each of the at least two actuating blocks and the actuating lever.
  8. The waste container according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the actuation assembly further comprises a second reset element, and the second reset element is arranged between the at least two clamp plates.
  9. The waste container according to claim 4 or 8, characterized in that the second reset element is arranged between each of the at least two cranks and the interior of the container.
