Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for packaging transport goods and a universal transport container used to carry out the method.
- the method is used for transporting goods that must be stored in a way that protects them from vibrations and other mechanical influences during transport.
- the structure of the universal transport container is also suitable for protecting the transport goods against mechanical vibrations, impacts and other mechanical impairments within the space between the transport goods to be packaged and the filling material in the interior of the transport container.
- an inner bag particularly for aroma-sensitive contents, which consists of an outer shell formed by a cardboard, metal or plastic box, and an inner bag made of a film material.
- the inner bag is designed in such a way that the wall parts that come into contact with the contents are not glued to the outer shell.
- the inner bag has foldable closure flaps on two opposite sides at the pouring end of the packaging, one of which can be folded down on a stiffening strip on the pouring edge on the outer surface of the packaging after the packaging is opened, so that a slip lid engages over this flap when it is closed. After filling, the inner bag can be evacuated, filled with inert gas and then welded on all sides.
- the disadvantages of packaging designed in this way are the high technical complexity and the exclusive suitability for only very limited areas of application.
- the bag or container may be made of aluminum or steel foil or clad or treated steel sheet with a polyolefin, polyester or polyamide or hot melt adhesive, heat seal coating on the inside and a heat resistant polyamide, polyester, polycarbonate, polypropylene or cellulose ester coating on the outside.
- the container may be vented by evacuation, steam flashing or by deforming the container to exclude headspace air. This specially designed container is also only usable for a very limited range of applications and is very expensive to manufacture.
- the object of the invention is therefore to create a method for packaging transport goods which requires less technical effort, enables more environmentally friendly use through multiple use of the materials used and is suitable for universal adaptation of the filling process regardless of the size of the transport container in order to achieve the required packaging protection for the respective transport goods. Furthermore, the object of the invention is to create a universal transport container suitable for carrying out the method. This object is achieved with the method created according to the features of patent claim 1. Advantageous further developments of the method are described by the characterizing features of patent claims 2 to 5. The structural design of the The features of patent claim 6 describe the transport container according to the invention. Efficient further developments are covered by patent claims 7 to 10 which refer back to patent claim 6.
- the task of the process to be created is solved by filling the gaps between the transported goods and the inner walls of the container, as well as the gaps between the transported goods among themselves, using inflatable containers or containers that expand in volume due to pressure equalization.
- an elastic positioning of the transported goods is achieved by inserting elastic spacer materials between the filling containers and the surface of the transported goods.
- the dimensions of the containers are selected so that the containers can be wrapped around the transported goods one or more times, depending on the respective size ratio of the container interior to the transported goods.
- the process proves to be effective for protected packaging of sensitive transported goods if the inflatable containers or containers that expand in volume due to pressure equalization are inserted in such a way that all the gaps between the transported goods and the inner walls of the respective transport container are filled.
- the method is economically effective if the inflatable containers or containers whose volume can be increased by pressure equalization are inserted in such a way that two gaps between the transport goods and the inner wall of the container are filled.
- at least two containers arranged in a row or in parallel are arranged in each gap in such a way that if the function of a first container fails, the other second container can still take on a sufficient protective function against mechanical influences on the transport goods.
- the design of the transport container according to the invention is such that inflatable containers or containers that expand in volume due to pressure equalization are placed in the spaces between the transported goods and the inner walls of the container and between the transported goods and between each other, and elastic spacer materials that serve for elastic positioning are placed between the surface of the containers and the transported goods. are introduced.
- the containers used to fill the gaps are each efficiently provided with a pressure valve that enables a two-way function.
- This two-way function consists of a two-sided blocking effect against the entry and exit of gases, which allows the inflow and exit of gases again after a controlled or manual removal of the blocking effect.
- a design of the transport container that reduces the technical effort for insensitive transport goods is achieved if the elastic spacer materials are designed as air-filled knobs applied to the surface of the containers.
- the transport container has spacer materials that are designed as separate components and that have air-filled knobs on the surface facing the transport goods.
- the air-filled knobs prevent the transport goods from slipping in particularly vulnerable places.
- a further increase in the transport safety of particularly sensitive goods is achieved if the spacer materials are designed as separate assemblies which have air-filled knobs on the surface facing the goods and on the surface facing away from the goods.
- FIG. 1 shows the sectional view of the transport container 5 with the arrangement of the container 3 in the interior of the transport container 5.
- the container 3 is sometimes wrapped twice around the transported goods 2.
- the existing size ratio of the transported goods 2 to the transport container 5 requires an adapted casing of the transported goods 2 by the container 3.
- the container 3 has air-filled knobs 8 on its surface, which serve to elastically position the transported goods 2.
- the opened transport container 5 with the folded-up lid half 10 enables access to the pressure valve 7.
- the container 3 is inflated with gas via the pressure valve 7. After the inflation process, the inflated container 3 presses the knobs 8 attached to the surface onto the peripheral surfaces of the transported goods 2.
- the lid half 10 is then closed again and the pressure valve is pressed into the interior.
- the Figure 2 shows a closed transport container 5, the container 3 of which completely encloses the transported goods 2 in a single layer.
- the container 3 When inflated, the container 3 fills the entire space between the transported goods 2 and the inner wall 6 of the container.
- the air-filled knobs 8 applied to the surface of the container 3 are pressed completely against the transported goods 2 and thus prevent the transported goods 2 from slipping during transport.
- FIG. 3 shows the schematic sectional view of an embodiment of the container 3.
- air-filled knobs 8 are applied to only one of the surfaces.
- a pressure valve 7 is inserted, by means of which the inflation process is carried out under pressure.
- the pressure valve 7 exerts a blocking effect in the opposite direction of the blowing.
- air-filled knobs 8 are applied to both sides of the top and bottom of the strip-shaped container 3.
- the schematic representation in the Figure 5 shows the redundant arrangement of two containers 3 arranged in series with two pressure valves 7 arranged between them along the strip-shaped container arrangement.
- the adjacent parts or containers 3 take over its function.

The object of the invention is therefore to create a method for packaging transport goods which requires less technical effort, enables more environmentally friendly use through multiple use of the materials used and is suitable for universal adaptation of the filling process regardless of the size of the transport container in order to achieve the required packaging protection for the respective transport goods. Furthermore, the object of the invention is to create a universal transport container suitable for carrying out the method. This object is achieved with the method created according to the features of
The task of the process to be created is solved by filling the gaps between the transported goods and the inner walls of the container, as well as the gaps between the transported goods among themselves, using inflatable containers or containers that expand in volume due to pressure equalization. In addition, an elastic positioning of the transported goods is achieved by inserting elastic spacer materials between the filling containers and the surface of the transported goods. In order to efficiently use the process for transport containers of different sizes and to require as few different containers as possible, the dimensions of the containers are selected so that the containers can be wrapped around the transported goods one or more times, depending on the respective size ratio of the container interior to the transported goods. The process proves to be effective for protected packaging of sensitive transported goods if the inflatable containers or containers that expand in volume due to pressure equalization are inserted in such a way that all the gaps between the transported goods and the inner walls of the respective transport container are filled. For less sensitive transport goods, the method is economically effective if the inflatable containers or containers whose volume can be increased by pressure equalization are inserted in such a way that two gaps between the transport goods and the inner wall of the container are filled. To increase safety against transport damage, in an advantageous development of the method, at least two containers arranged in a row or in parallel are arranged in each gap in such a way that if the function of a first container fails, the other second container can still take on a sufficient protective function against mechanical influences on the transport goods.
The design of the transport container according to the invention is such that inflatable containers or containers that expand in volume due to pressure equalization are placed in the spaces between the transported goods and the inner walls of the container and between the transported goods and between each other, and elastic spacer materials that serve for elastic positioning are placed between the surface of the containers and the transported goods. are introduced. The containers used to fill the gaps are each efficiently provided with a pressure valve that enables a two-way function. This two-way function consists of a two-sided blocking effect against the entry and exit of gases, which allows the inflow and exit of gases again after a controlled or manual removal of the blocking effect. A design of the transport container that reduces the technical effort for insensitive transport goods is achieved if the elastic spacer materials are designed as air-filled knobs applied to the surface of the containers. Increased protection of sensitive transport goods against mechanical shocks is achieved if the transport container has spacer materials that are designed as separate components and that have air-filled knobs on the surface facing the transport goods. The air-filled knobs prevent the transport goods from slipping in particularly vulnerable places. A further increase in the transport safety of particularly sensitive goods is achieved if the spacer materials are designed as separate assemblies which have air-filled knobs on the surface facing the goods and on the surface facing away from the goods.
With the solution created, no changes to the transport container are necessary compared to the state of the art, such as the creation of an adhesive connection between the filling container and the walls of the transport container or the necessary dismantling or cutting of the parts of the transport container. This creates the conditions for efficient and ecologically advantageous multiple use of the device components of the transport container used to fill the gaps and provide elastic spaced storage. Due to the interchangeability and adaptability of the device components to be inserted inside the transport container, a much wider range of applications is possible. The size of the goods to be packed is only tied to the respective size of the transport container used to a limited extent. Starting from the largest transport item to be packed, several standard larger transport containers can be used regardless of the size of the transport items.
