Definitions
- the present invention relates to sprinklers, and more particularly to a sprinkler having an adjusting valve which is to be actuated to switch on or off the flow and to regulate the flow volume by being pushed.
- Plant hoses are usually used for watering in gardens because the planted area is large or is far away from the water source.
- the water flowing directly from the hose is strong and can only be sprayed in a small area. It is difficult to water plants with garden hoses in large surfaces and time-efficiently. Besides, it may happen that plants are accidently damaged or not watered when using a garden hose for watering. Therefore, a sprinkler is often mounted on an end of a garden hose for large-scale and efficient watering.
- the user has to grip and press a key or a lever of the sprinkler.
- the user has to firmly grip the key or the lever.
- the key or the lever will rebound and no more water will be sprayed out. This results in that the water flow ca not be maintained in a constant amount and that the hand gets easily tired by pressing the key or the lever with fingers for a long time.
- An objective of present invention is to provide a sprinkler with which the deficiencies described above in the prior art can be eliminated.
- a sprinkler consists of a main body, an adjusting valve and a water outlet unit.
- An inlet portion and an outlet portion are arranged on both ends of the main body.
- a channel is arranged between the inlet portion and the outlet portion.
- a flow regulating hole is arranged between the inlet portion and the outlet portion in such a way that the flow regulating hole runs through the peripheral edge and is offset to the channel.
- the adjusting valve can be mounted in the flow regulating hole.
- the adjusting valve has an axle journal and a cap bushing.
- the axle journal and the cap bushing are to be put into the flow regulating hole from two directions and then jointed with each other.
- the axle journal and the cap bushing are respectively provided with a flange whose protrusion causes a blockade of the adjusting valve when the adjusting valve is loaded with force. In such a case, the adjusting valve can only be pushed back and forth in the flow regulating hole and is thus not able to leave the flow regulating hole.
- at least a stop ring is put respectively on the axle journal and the cap bushing.
- a stop portion and a passage portion of smaller diameter are formed on the axle journal. When the adjusting valve is being pushed, the stop portion will cover the channel to different extent in the pushing process. Thereby, the user can switch on/off the water and regulate the flow volume by means of the adjusting valve on the main body.
- the sprinkler according to the invention provides following benefits.
- the adjusting valve it is possible with the adjusting valve to have the water sprayed out freely without pressing a certain portion of the sprinkler throughout, so the operation of the sprinkler is more effort-saving and disburdens therefore the hand of the user. Moreover, the sprinkler ensures a water flow with a constant flow volume.
- the adjusting valve consist of the axle journal and the cap bushing which are assembled to a butt joint. This construction is simplified, allowing for a quick assembly.
- a sprinkler consists of a main body 10, an adjusting valve 20 and a water outlet unit 30.
- An inlet portion 11 and an outlet portion 12 are arranged on both ends of the main body 10.
- the water outlet unit 30 is mounted on the outlet portion 12.
- a channel 13 is arranged between the inlet portion 11 and the outlet portion 12.
- the adjusting valve 20 can be mounted in the flow regulating hole 14.
- the adjusting valve 20 has an axle journal 21 and a cap bushing 22.
- the axle journal 21 and the cap bushing 22 are to be put into the flow regulating hole from two directions and then jointed with each other.
- the axle journal 21 and the cap bushing 22 are respectively provided with a flange 211, 221 whose protrusion causes a blockade of the adjusting valve 20 when the adjusting valve 20 is loaded with force.
- the adjusting valve 20 can only be pushed back and forth in the flow regulating hole 14 and is thus not able to leave the flow regulating hole 14.
- at least a stop ring 23 is put respectively on the axle journal 21 and the cap bushing 22.
- a stop portion 212 and a passage portion 213 of smaller diameter are formed on the axle journal 21.
- the stop portion 212 will cover the channel 13 to different extent in the pushing process. Thereby, the user can switch on/off the water and regulate the flow volume by means of the adjusting valve 20 on the main body 10.
- the flow regulating hole 14 runs through both the upper and the lower peripheral edge of the main body 10.
- the flow regulating hole 14 runs through both the left and the right peripheral edge of the main body 10.
- axle journal 21 and the cap bushing 22 are assembled to a butt joint by high-frequency welding.
- the passage portion 213 is formed as a cross shaft which is to be butted against and jointed with the cap bushing 22.
- an opening 222 is arranged at the end of the cap bushing 22 at which end the cap bushing 22 is jointed with the axle journal 21.
- the passage portion 213 is to be inserted into the opening 222 and then jointed with the opening 222.
- the water outlet unit 30 has a water outlet tube 31, a fixing ring 32, a water outlet head 33, and a knob 34.
- a tube fitting 35 and a water jacket 36 are arranged in such a way that they are clamped between the water outlet tube 31 and the main body 10.
- the main body 10, the water outlet tube 31, the fixing ring 32, and the water outlet head 33 are screwed together and the knob 34 is locked at the front end of the water outlet tube 31.
- the adjusting valve 20 is to be pressed in one direction with fingers in such a way that the stop portion 212 covers the channel 13 decreasingly while the adjusting valve 20 is being pushed. Accordingly, this enables the water conveyed into the main body 10 to freely flow into the outlet portion 12 by the sidestepping of the passage portion 213. Thus, the water can be sprayed out via the water outlet unit 30 (see also Fig. 5 ). By changing the force exerted by the fingers, the flow volume can be regulated (see also Fig. 6 ). Once the adjustment is finished, the fingers can be removed from the adjusting valve 20. Thus, it is not necessary to press the adjusting valve 20 with the fingers throughout while watering, avoiding discomfort of the hand. To switch off the water, the adjusting valve 20 is simply to be pushed back in the opposite direction, which makes the operation of the sprinkler more user-friendly.
- the sprinkler according to the invention provides following benefits.
- the adjusting valve 20 is formed in such a way that it is possible to have the water sprayed out freely without pressing a certain portion of the sprinkler throughout, so the operation of the sprinkler is more effort-saving and disburdens therefore the hand of the user. Moreover, the sprinkler ensures a water flow with a constant flow volume.
- the adjusting valve 20 consist of the axle journal 21 and the cap bushing 22 which are assembled to a butt joint. This construction is simplified, allowing for a quick assembly.
