- the construction of the crimping device 20 according to the invention makes it possible to reduce the mass and the size of the crimping unit 10 for the edge of metal sheets with respect to the existing units. Indeed, the bending force is ensured by a pure translation, which can be easily achieved by a jack. It is therefore no longer necessary to use an engine driving a complicated connecting rod and crank system.
