Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de synthèse d'imépitoïne de formule (I) par réaction de 4-chloroaniline, d'acide chloroacétique et d'urée en présence d'un solvant aprotique apolaire ou faiblement polaire tel que le xylène, puis par réaction du l- (4-chlorophényl)imidazolidine -2, 4-dione (II) obtenu avec de la morpholine en présence de chlorhydrate de morpholine. La cristallisation à partir de diméthylsulfoxyde et de méthanol fournit de l'imépitoïne pure (I). Le procédé est plus économique et plus facile à mettre en oeuvre industriellement que les procédures connues, permettant ainsi de produire de l'imépitoïne avec des rendements élevés et des coûts limités.
