Description

The invention relates to a hunting or sporting weapon with an improved magazine arrangement according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

Hunting or sporting weapons of the type in question are, for example, with the DE 20 2004 016 800 U1 known. They are also known as repeating rifles and are preferably designed as multi-loading rifles with a magazine for several cartridges. They belong to the category of handguns.

This shows that the magazine is even located in front of the trigger guard, which means the weapon is longer by the cartridge length than with the Blaser R8, which has the magazine arranged above the trigger.

This results in the structural length of the system and the necessary length of the weapon's system box and leads to unmanageable weapon lengths. That's why the barrels are often simply shortened in order to achieve a reasonably manageable overall weapon length.

With its weapon type R8, the Blaser company provides a hunting or sporting weapon in which the buttstock and the pistol grip form a coherent, inseparable unit. However, this has the disadvantage that the magazine has to be arranged longitudinally in front of the pistol grip, i.e. towards the muzzle, which unnecessarily increases the length of the weapon.

A hunting or sporting weapon of the present type with a so-called plug-in magazine is the subject of the DE 10 2006 009 895 B3 . The plug-in magazine is characterized in that on its underside there is a trigger unit with a Trigger guard and a trigger is attached in such a way that the trigger unit can be removed from the handgun together with the plug-in magazine.

What is characteristic of this prior art is that the magazine forms a pluggable arrangement together with the trigger unit and is arranged directly above the trigger guard.

The disadvantage is that a quick-change magazine can only be used to replace an existing magazine with great effort, because if you want to quickly replace the empty magazine with another, full magazine, the entire unit, consisting of the trigger unit, the trigger guard together with the Magazine needs to be replaced. It is therefore a costly exchange, which is also associated with considerable difficulties due to the high space requirement and the weight, in practice i.e. when hunting.

The required plug connection between the system box of the weapon and the trigger unit is also problematic because if the plug connection is not made correctly, it is not possible to fire a shot with the weapon, even if there is a ready-to-fire cartridge in the chamber of the barrel.

Since the trigger unit is not firmly connected to the weapon, there is the further disadvantage that if the entire magazine with integrated trigger unit is missing, for example if you forget to pack it before you go hunting, it is not possible to fire a shot.

Another disadvantage of the known plug-in magazine is the undesirably long overall length of the hunting or sporting weapon, due to the fact that the butt plate is arranged in front of the trigger, which increases the overall length of the weapon in an unfavorable manner.

By definition, the butt base is the rear boundary of the closure. This also means that the front edge of the magazine is directly behind is arranged on the butt plate and that the two geometric dimension lines lie in front of the trigger in the direction of the muzzle.

After the cartridges lie exactly above the trigger and the trigger guard and the butt base is arranged in front of the trigger and the trigger guard, this inevitably results in a length of the entire weapon that is increased by the cartridge length, which cannot be shortened by this length due to this arrangement.

The invention is therefore based on the object of developing a hunting or sporting weapon with an interchangeable magazine in such a way that the overall length of the hunting or sporting weapon is shortened while maintaining the length of the barrel and maintaining the length of the butt stock.

To solve the problem, the invention is characterized by the technical teaching of claim 1.

A preferred feature of the invention is that the magazine is designed as a foldable or insertable insert magazine, which is integrated in the front part of the butt stock.

The invention therefore provides for a functional separation to be arranged between the pistol grip and the butt stock. In the prior art, the pistol grip was an inseparable unit with the buttstock and according to the invention this unit is now separated and the pistol grip is designed independently of the buttstock, which has the advantage that, according to the invention, the magazine can now be arranged directly above or on the pistol grip, which can now be swung away or plugged into the buttstock or the system box. This results in a significant saving in the overall length of the weapon, because the length of the magazine no longer increases the overall length of the weapon, as is disadvantageously shown in the Mauser version.

With the given technical teaching there is the further advantage that the magazine is no longer arranged directly above the trigger guard - as in the prior art (Blaser), but according to the invention the magazine is with its magazine well integrated in the buttstock or in the receiver, which has the advantage that the butt plate is behind the trigger and the magazine is arranged above the pistol grip and no longer aligned above the trigger guard (Blaser) or even in front of the trigger guard (Mauser) .

This results in the further advantage that it is now possible for the first time to make the trigger unit separable from the pistol grip because the magazine is arranged above the pistol grip and thus there is the possibility of designing the trigger unit with the trigger guard and the trigger to be separable from the pistol grip.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, however, the magazine is designed as a foldable or insertable insert magazine, which in the first-mentioned alternative has the advantage that a pivot connection in a horizontal pivot axis on the underside of the system box between the trigger unit, consisting of the trigger unit integrated there Trigger guard with the trigger and the pistol grip is arranged.

In a kinematic reversal, however, it can also be provided that the horizontal pivot bearing of the first-mentioned alternative is not arranged in the front part of the weapon, but oppositely on the rear part of the pistol grip, namely in the area of the front part of the butt stock.

While according to the first embodiment the entire swivel magazine is swiveled forward in order to be able to insert a new magazine from the rear, in a modified embodiment it can be provided that the entire swivel unit is folded backwards and then the magazine is inserted from the front the swivel unit is inserted.

The term “front” means the muzzle side and the term “rear” means the buttstock side.

The difference to the prior art in a preferred embodiment according to the invention is that the pivoting unit is the trigger unit Pistol grip and the magazine attached above the pistol grip and remains connected to the weapon via a pivot connection.

In the second variant, in which the magazine is designed as a plug-in unit, it is also provided here that the trigger unit always remains on the weapon, in which case only the pistol grip with the magazine arranged on it is designed to be pluggable.

This eliminates the disadvantage of the prior art that the entire trigger unit has to be designed as a plug-in unit. A plug-in unit that can be completely removed from the weapon with the magazine has the disadvantage that the plug-in unit is heavy because it also contains the sensitive mechanics of the trigger unit, which can also endanger operational safety due to the risk of contamination.

However, the subject of the present invention is not the functional connection between the trigger and the breech, in which the firing pin, the springs belonging to the firing pin and similar functional parts are arranged. It is always assumed that such a functional connection exists between the trigger and the breech, but this does not form part of the invention.

In summary, it can be stated that the shortened overall length of the hunting and sporting weapon according to the invention is achieved in that the magazine is part of the buttstock or the system box and is arranged approximately or largely above the pistol grip. Compared to the prior art, it is moved to the rear, in the front part of the buttstock, which is associated with a shortening of the overall length with an unshortened barrel and unshortened buttstock. This improves the handling of the hunting or sporting weapon. The term “handling” means the ability to handle the weapon.

In the preferred embodiment, the entire swivel unit, consisting of the trigger unit and pistol grip with an insert magazine integrated therein Can be pivoted at the front or rear, while in the other embodiment the entire unit is designed as a plug-in unit.

When designed as a plug-in unit, there is the advantage that because the magazine is moved backwards towards the buttstock, you now have the option of leaving the trigger unit on the weapon and only plugging it into the pistol grip, which creates a dividing line between the the trigger unit remaining in the weapon and the plug-in pistol grip with the plug-in magazine integrated there.

The subject matter of the present invention arises not only from the subject matter of the individual patent claims, but also from the combination of the individual patent claims with one another.

The hunting or sporting weapon 1 is connected to a rifle scope 2 and consists of a barrel 3, a forend 4 which is mounted on the adjoining system box 5, in which the receptacle of the barrel 3 is attached and in which the magazine shaft 24 for a magazine 17 is arranged.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the trigger unit 6 preferably consists of a trigger guard 7, in which the manually operable trigger 8 is arranged, and also of a pistol grip 9 integrated therein, which forms a pass-through 10 for the firing hand in a manner known per se.

With the parts mentioned, namely the trigger unit 6, consisting of the trigger guard 7, the trigger 8 and the pistol grip 9, a pivot unit 31 is formed according to the invention, which is located in a front horizontal pivot bearing 14 on the front part of the system box 5 near its underside is designed to be pivotable.

In the longitudinal direction behind the pivoting unit 31 is the buttstock 11, which preferably has a back of the stock 12 and a rear, final butt plate 13.

The connecting line 15 marks the functional separation between the front part of the buttstock 11 and the rear part of the system box 5.

The invention is not limited to the exact design of the hunting or sporting weapon shown here. For example, it can be provided that the rifle scope 2 is omitted or that further additional parts can be mounted, such as. B. Night vision devices, night sights, open sights, reflex sights and the like.

In training as a hunting or sporting weapon, the invention achieved that - in comparison to known hunting and sporting weapons with a comparable barrel and buttstock length and known maneuverability and shooting precision - there is a barrel 3 that is not shortened and also not in length shortened butt stock 11 in order to maintain or even improve the usability of the weapon.

According to the prior art, it is known to have a running length of e.g. B. 690 mm to use, which concerns the distance between the muzzle and the butt base.

This results in a total weapon length (Blaser R8) from the muzzle to the butt end of approx. 1130 mm. For a weapon that has the magazine arranged in front of the trigger guard, the total weapon length is approx. 1200 mm. This invention means a length saving of approx. 160 mm with the same barrel length and the same buttstock dimensions.

This is where the invention comes in, which now has consistent shot quality, i.e. H. With a constant barrel length of 690 mm and the same stock length, this results in a shortened total weapon length of approx. 1040 mm.

This means that there is a total weapon length reduction of preferably approximately 100 mm, which leads to a shortened weapon but with the same shot quality and, due to the reduction in length, results in improved maneuverability.

The difference in total weapon length that could be saved results from the new arrangement of the magazine, which according to the invention is arranged partially integrated in the butt stock.

The total length of the cartridges is, so to speak, saved on the total length of the weapon because the cartridge length is now part of the buttstock and no longer undesirably increases the overall length of the weapon - as in the prior art.

The specified proportions are also in Figure 2 to understand where the same parts of the drawings are inserted with the same reference numerals.

First of all, it is stated that the cartridges 16 are arranged in a magazine 17 and the magazine front edge 18 is arranged at a short distance in front of the shock base 20.

At the same time is in Figure 2 The prior art is also shown in primed reference numbers. There it can be seen that the impact base 20' in the prior art according to DE 10 2006 009 895 B3 to the front, in front of the trigger unit 6 and also the front edge of the magazine 19`. This results in the total length of the cartridges 16 extending the overall length of the weapon in an avoidable manner, which is avoided with the invention in that the cartridges 16 are partially integrated in the butt stock 11 together with the magazine 17 that accommodates them.

The withdrawal center line 21 according to the invention therefore has a distance 23 in the range between 10 to 50 mm from the butt bottom line 22 according to the invention on. This means that the bottom with the bottom line 22 lies behind the trigger and behind the trigger center line 21, whereas in the prior art it is according to the previously mentioned DE 10 2006 009 895 B3 in front of the withdrawal center line 21, as in Figure 2 is entered in a superscript reference number.

The invention is not limited to this.

Instead of an insertion guide 27 pointing in the longitudinal direction, other fastening means can also be provided between the magazine 17 and the pivoting unit 31. Instead of the insertion direction in the direction of arrow 28, which is directed in the longitudinal direction of the weapon, an insertion guide can also be provided in the vertical direction. This means that the magazine would be positively connected to the insertion guide in the transverse direction to the insertion guide.

It is also possible for the magazine 17 to be tilted or snapped into the insertion guide laterally.

In the Figure 9 is shown that the pivot connection with the horizontal pivot bearing 14 can also be arranged on the buttstock or on the system box 5, which means that the same pivoting unit 31 cannot be pivoted forward in the direction of arrow 25, but because of the pivot bearing 14 installed in the buttstock can now be folded forward in the opposite direction to the arrow direction 25, i.e. in the arrow direction 25 '.

The withdrawal center line 21 according to the invention therefore has a distance 23 in the range between 10 to 50 mm from the butt bottom line 22 according to the invention. This means that the butt base with the butt base line 22 lies behind the trigger and behind the trigger center line 21. When the closure is open, the butt base 20 of the closure 26 reaches the distance line 35 with a maximum distance 36 of approximately 120 mm. This means that a larger distance 23 in the range between 10 to 50 mm does not make sense, due to the ergonomic handling of the bolt handle 37 when repeating at the stop.

The bolt handle 37 is therefore preferably arranged above and at the rear end of the pistol grip, which leads to a particularly advantageous ergonomic operation.

Out of Figure 10 It can be seen that the bolt handle 37 is advantageously located at the rear of the pistol grip 9 in the closed state of the shutter 26. This makes it possible for the shooter to carry out the repeating process without wasting time or travel.

In the prior art, however, unfavorable grip movements are required for a bolt handle 37 arranged forward (e.g. Blaser R8, Mauser M12, M98) or rear (e.g. bullpup rifles), which results in a loss of travel time when operating the bolt handle 37.

It was stated above that the functional connection between the trigger 8 and the closure 26 is not shown in more detail in order to avoid different Keeping the possibilities of functional connection open. This functional connection is not the subject of the invention. It should be noted that when the trigger 8 is actuated, a shot is fired in the breech 26 and the barrel 3.

Only the pistol grip 9 with the magazine 17 is removed, which has the great advantage of a simplified design of the plug-in unit 32, a weight saving when using replacement magazines and a simplified and more reliable operation.

In the present application, it is preferred in all versions that the magazine 17 is arranged above the pistol grip and the trigger center line 21 and the butt bottom line 22 are only a small distance in the range between 10 to 50 mm from the front edge 18 of the magazine 17.

The advantage therefore exists or remains that the gas pressure generated when the shot is fired does not act on the shooter's face or shoulder because the parts mentioned are arranged in front of the buttstock 11.

This arrangement makes it possible for the hunting and sporting weapon according to the invention to retain a traditional appearance (Mauser or Blaser) despite the shortened overall length, with the handling of the weapon being improved.

Another advantage of the invention is that the pivoting or plug-in unit 31, 32 with a magazine box that is open at the top also makes it possible to load the magazine 17 from above with the shutter 26 open when the pivoting unit 31 is not pivoted away or when the plug-in unit 32 is inserted. without the swivel unit 31 having to be opened or the plug-in unit 32 having to be removed.

By achieving a shortened weapon length with the barrel and stock length remaining the same as in the prior art, there is the further advantage that silencers placed on the barrel do not result in an unwieldable weapon.

Claims (16)

1.
