Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an improved roof canopy.
  • a roof canopy can be considered as a roof window, but whose dimensions have been enlarged.
  • a conventional roof canopy can thus measure three meters long and three meters wide.
  • a known way of fixing a roof canopy consists of resting it on two purlins constituting the roof frame, then fixing it on the two purlins.
  • the fixed frame of the roof canopy has, for this purpose, at its two end crosspieces, articulated fixing lugs which are placed flat on the two purlins. These fixing lugs are then fixed by screwing, using, for example, clamps. None is planned to correct the positioning of the roof canopy frame in relation to the frame. This operating mode is, moreover, considered difficult to implement.
  • a roof canopy comprising a fixed frame intended to receive an opening frame carrying at least one glazing or a second fixed frame carrying at least one glazing, the fixed frame being designed to be fixed by its lower part and its upper part opposed between two components arranged substantially parallel to each other and which constitute the framework of a roof.
  • the frame comprises two pairs of profiles, each pair comprising a first interior profile, a second exterior profile, each lower part or each upper part of the frame being fixed on the first profile, each second profile being dimensioned for be fixed on a corresponding component
  • the two profiles comprise relative spacing or rimpedement means between the two profiles and/or means allowing orientation in a median plane relative to the second profile, of the first profile relative to the second profile, these means comprising adjustment bolts.
  • the two profiles constituting a pair are identical, the second profile being oriented by 180° relative to a longitudinal axis with regard to the first profile.
  • the lower part and the upper part of the frame respectively comprise two rows of fixing plates, the fixing plates of the same row being fixed on the other face of the flat main plate of the first profile, via fixing bolts, each fixing bolt comprising a screw cooperating with a nut mounted in a groove of the first profile.
  • each fixing plate comprises a flat metal plate on which extend from the same edge and parallel to said plate, two cheeks, one end of a chevron constituting the frame being fixed between these two cheeks.
  • the roof canopy 100 presented on the Fig. 1 is intended to be installed on a roof. It consists of a fixed frame Cd in which is mounted in an articulated manner, an opening frame Co including at least one glazing Vg.
  • the roof canopy 100 has a joint An with a horizontal axis allowing the opening frame Co to open upwards and which is arranged in the upper part of said roof canopy, considering its installation position on a inclined roof section.
  • the inscription “TOP” to the right and at the top of this Fig. 1 indicates the upper part of the roof canopy 100 in its installation position, while the inscription "BAS" to the left and at the bottom of this Fig. 1 indicates the lower part of the roof canopy 100.
  • This roof canopy 100 is a so-called “projection” canopy.
  • the glazing or glazings constituting the roof canopy are fixedly mounted on the frame. There is therefore no longer an opening frame but a second frame carrying the glazing or glazing.
  • each pair comprises a first interior profile P1 and a second exterior profile P2.
  • the two profiles P1 and P2 of each pair are assembled mutually.
  • the two P2 exterior profiles are designed and sized to respectively be fixed on two constituent components of the roof frame. These two components are arranged in a manner substantially parallel to each other and are separated by a particular distance. The difficulty of installing these two components on the framework means that their parallelism is rarely perfect.
  • these two components are respectively, a low Pnb breakdown and a high Pnh breakdown.
  • the two interior profiles P1 are designed and sized to support and fix the fixed frame Cd of the roof canopy 100.
  • the two profiles, P1, P2, of a pair are advantageously identical.
  • the two profiles P1 and P2 are arranged head to tail.
  • the second profile P2 is thus oriented by 180° relative to a longitudinal axis with respect to the first profile P1.
  • each P1 or P2 profile is advantageously made of aluminum by extrusion.
  • each profile P1, P2 consists of a main flat plate Pn delimited by two parallel faces A and B.
  • Two elongated protuberances Pg1 and Pg2 of H-shaped section are formed on face B by extending longitudinally and parallel to each other.
  • Each elongated protrusion Pg1 and Pg2 is thus defined by two parallel wings joined towards their middle by an intermediate wing.
  • Two openings R1 and R2 pass through the main flat plate Pn to the right of the two elongated protuberances Pg1 and Pg2.
  • Each opening R1 or R2 opens between the two parallel wings of a corresponding elongated protuberance Pg1 or Pg2.
  • the width of each opening R1 or R2 is narrower than the distance separating the two parallel wings constituting a corresponding elongated protuberance Pg1 or Pg2.
  • the volume delimited between the two parallel wings, the intermediate wing and the main flat plate Pn of each elongated protuberance Pg1 and Pg2, forms a groove N1 or N2 which is intended to receive a plurality of nuts Ec.
  • Each nut Ec is preferably a special nut equipped with a ball for braking its sliding movement in a corresponding groove N1 or N2 to maintain it in a desired position in said groove.
  • One of the two parallel wings of the elongated protuberance Pg1 or Pg2 is provided externally with a first border G1.
  • a first partition Cn1 extends perpendicularly on face B and is provided with a second border G2.
  • the first partition Cn1 and its edge G2 of a profile P1 or P2 are arranged so that this second edge G2 can cooperate with the first edge G1 of the other profile P2 or P1 facing each other, to together form a retaining means avoiding the unwanted separation of the two profiles P1 and P2 when they are mutually nested one inside the other.
  • the first partition Cn1 extends between the two elongated protuberances Pg1 and Pg2.
  • a second partition Cn2 extends perpendicularly on face B of each profile P1 or P2.
  • the fixed frame Cd can thus be easily placed on the roof frame while awaiting its positioning and definitive fixing on the two purlins Pnb and Pnh.
  • the flat wall Pp is provided with a third edge G3 facing outwards.
  • the main flat plate Pn is provided on its second longitudinal edge with a rim Rb which extends perpendicular to the main flat plate Pn and on the side of the two elongated protuberances Pg1 and Pg2.
  • the rim Rb is provided with a fourth border G4 facing inwards.
  • the third edge G3 of a profile P1 or P2 is arranged so that this third edge G3 can cooperate with the fourth edge G4 of the other profile P2 or P1 facing opposite, to together form a retaining means avoiding the unwanted separation of the two profiles P1 and P2 when they are mutually nested one inside the other.
  • the second partition Cn2 extends between the elongated protuberance Pg1 and the flat wall Pp.
  • a first series of holes T1 pass through the main flat plate Pn.
  • the T1 holes are grouped in families of four on these Figs. 3 And 4 .
  • These holes T1 serve, for the profile P1, for the passage of screws constituting adjustment bolts intended to adjust, the spacing, the rimpedement, of the two profiles P1 and P2 and/or to modify the orientation in a median plane in relation to to profile P2, of profile P1 in relation to profile P2.
  • These holes T1 serve, for the P2 profile, for the passage of lag screws intended to fix said P2 profile on a purlin.
  • a second series of holes T2 pass through the intermediate wings of the two elongated protuberances Pg1 and Pg2.
  • the T2 holes are grouped in families of four on these Figs. 3 And 4 .
  • These holes T2 serve, for the P1 profile, for the passage of screws constituting fixing bolts to fix said P1 profile on a lateral side of the frame
  • These holes T2 serve, for the profile P2, for the passage of screws constituting adjustment bolts intended to adjust the spacing, the rimpedement, of the two profiles P1 and P2 and/or adjust the orientation in a median plane relative to the profile P2, of profile P1 in relation to profile P2.
  • the bolts bear the reference Blf for fixing bolts on a lateral side of the frame Cd on the profile P1 and the reference Blr for the bolts for adjusting the spacing or the rimpedement of the profile P1 with respect to the profile P2 and /or adjustment of the orientation in a median plane relative to the profile P2, of the profile P1 relative to the profile P2.
  • Each fixing bolt Blf consists of a screw Vs threaded into the profile P1 and which cooperates with a nut Ec threaded into a groove N1 or N2 of the profile P1.
  • Each adjustment bolt Blr consists of a screw Vs threaded into the profile P1 and which cooperates with a nut Ec threaded into a groove N1 or N2 of the other profile P2 arranged opposite.
  • the adjustment bolts Blr constitute a means of adjusting the spacing or relative ruzement between the two profiles P1 and P2 and/or adjusting the orientation in a median plane relative to the profile P2, of the profile P1 relative to the P2 profile.
  • each upper or lower part of the frame Cd is equipped with fixing plates Pf and which are fixed, at intervals defined by the dimensions of the glazing, on the profile P1.
  • each fixing plate Pf consists of a flat metal plate Pm on which extend from the same edge and parallel to said plate, two cheeks J1 and J2.
  • each metal plate Pm is fixed against face A of profile P1 via fixing bolts Blf.
  • one end of a rafter Cv2 constituting the opening frame Co is mounted between these two cheeks J1 and J2. Only half of the fixing plates Pf, arranged on the same edge, is used to support in an articulated manner, around the joint An, the opening frame Co carrying the glazing. On the Fig. 7 , at least one of the two cheeks is for this purpose crossed by a hole Tr intended to receive the An joint. The Pf fixing plates arranged between the two Pf fixing plates are respectively crossed by two holes to pass the An joint, as appears on this Fig. 7 .
  • This construction allows the rafters to extend close to the upper and lower parts of the roof canopy and thus increases the glazed surface area.
  • the canopy does not have an opening frame.
  • the glazing is then held in a second fixed frame. It is therefore not necessary for the cheeks of the fixing plates to have holes through them.
  • notches pass through the metal plate Pm, opening laterally on either side of the two cheeks J1 and J2, thus allowing, by lateral sliding of the fixing bolts trapped in the first two profiles, their insertion into said notches. Screwing in the screws cooperating with the nuts thus makes it possible to clamp the fixed frame Cd of the roof canopy, on the first two profiles.
  • the P2 profile is fixed on a purlin, and the upper purlin Pnh on this Fig. 5 , via lag screws Tf and whose rods are previously threaded into holes T1 passing through the main flat plate Pn.
  • the Tf lag bolts are fixed by screwing into the thickness of the upper purlin Pnh.
  • the two pairs of profiles P1 and P2 are used to fix the fixed frame Cd in the roof frame and to correctly adjust the positioning of said fixed frame Cd of the roof canopy 100 in the roof frame.
  • these Blr adjustment bolts are used to properly position the roof canopy 100 in the roof. We can thus correct, primarily, the lack of parallelism between the two failures. If the parallelism is incorrect, we screw or unscrew the screws of the adjustment bolts Blr which moves each profile P1 in relation to its corresponding profile P2, in particular to orient the canopy of the roof in the plane of the roof. roof 100 until the upper part as well as the lower part of the frame Cd can be correctly clamped against the two purlins. It is also possible to provide a slightly larger spacing between the two purlins, of the order of one or a few centimeters to allow the fixed frame Cd to be placed between the two profiles P1 and then clamped between the two purlins. .
  • the construction of the roof canopy of the invention allows it to modify its positioning in the roof.
  • the installation of the roof canopy in the roof frame is made easier.
