Definitions
- the invention relates to a pot-shaped shower jet outlet nozzle, which includes a hollow chamber, a side wall delimiting the hollow chamber transversely to a nozzle longitudinal axis, and a base delimiting the hollow chamber in the direction of the nozzle longitudinal axis on the outlet side, which base is made of an elastic material and in which one of one or more Jet outlet openings existing jet outlet opening structure is formed with an open initial configuration, wherein the base is designed to be elastically deformed with its jet outlet opening structure under the influence of a shower fluid operating pressure in the hollow chamber and thereby an opening cross section of the jet outlet opening structure with within a normal operating pressure range increasing shower fluid operating pressure to steadily increase.
- the invention also relates to a shower with one or more such shower jet outlet nozzles.
- the jet outlet structure consisting of the jet outlet orifices has an open initial configuration, which means that even in the pressureless initial situation, in which there is no or at least no significant fluid pressure in the nozzle cavity, the jet outlet structure is open, i.e. the passage of fluid enabling configuration.
- the opening cross-section of the jet outlet opening structure i.e. its effective passage cross-section, which is decisive for the passage of shower fluid, is greater than zero even in the unpressurized initial state, in contrast to other types of nozzles, which are closed in the unpressurized initial configuration and only open when the fluid pressure is applied.
- shower fluid operating pressure is present, as the name suggests, to understand the pressure of the shower fluid when the shower jet outlet nozzle is in operation refers to an intended, normal operation of the nozzle and not to special situations such as overpressure situations in which the pressure of the shower fluid in the nozzle hollow chamber rises above a normal operating pressure range, eg due to clogging of the jet outlet opening structure. More precisely, the shower fluid operating pressure means that fluid pressure in the normal shower operation of the nozzle that prevails in the hollow chamber of the nozzle, which is why it is also referred to as the nozzle internal pressure, or internal pressure for short.
- the normal operating pressure range designates the pressure range in which the fluid pressure lies during normal operation of the nozzle or can lie depending on the current operating environment.
- the actual fluid operating pressure can depend, for example, on country- or region-specific specifications or conditions of an associated fluid supply, such as a public water supply, but also on the design of the relevant shower head and its state of use.
- the supply pressure available in the building is typically in a range from approx. 0.5 bar to approx. 1.5 bar
- the shower fluid operating pressure in the nozzle cavity, ie the nozzle internal pressure then in normal operation, for example, assumes values in the interval from 0 bar to approx. 0.4 bar, mostly between approx. 0.2 bar and 0.4 bar.
- a shower jet outlet nozzle of this generic type is disclosed in the published application US 2003/0062426 A1 disclosed.
- the base is formed by, for example, three or four flap parts which protrude radially inwards from the side wall at the nozzle outlet and define a single jet outlet opening of the nozzle between them.
- the flap parts bend under the action of the fluid operating pressure in the hollow chamber by an amount dependent on the level of the shower fluid operating pressure, radially and axially, ie parallel to the longitudinal axis of the nozzle, elastically yielding outwards.
- the jet exit opening consists of a relatively small central opening and slot areas radiating from this radially outwards to the side wall, which keep adjacent flap parts separate from one another, i.e. the jet exit opening has a star or star configuration. cruciform shape.
- the opening cross-section of the jet outlet opening increases as a result of the flap parts being opened when the fluid operating pressure is present, as a result of which an automatic adjustment of the flow resistance of the nozzle to different fluid flow rates is to be achieved.
- the jet exit opening qualitatively changes its cross-sectional shape to a more circular shape.
- cylindrical nozzles without a base are proposed there, which can be elastically deformed with their side wall under the acting fluid operating pressure, for which purpose the side wall is provided with axial slots.
- pot-shaped shower jet outlet nozzle are in a base made of elastic material, which deforms arching under the action of the shower fluid operating pressure in the hollow chamber, several jet outlet openings in the form of fine jet openings are formed, and in addition to the base preferably also the side wall is made of elastic material and configured in such a way that, like the floor, it deforms in a manner dependent on the fluid pressure.
- This nozzle configuration is intended to be able to generate a mist-like, fine shower jet with, at the same time, a relatively low sensitivity to blockages caused by dirt particles and limescale deposits.
- A1 disclosed shower head are pot-shaped, cylindrical elastic jet formers, the bottom of which is provided with a single circular jet outlet opening of about 1.2mm in diameter, inserted precisely into circular receiving openings of about 2mm to 10mm in diameter of a rigid jet disk.
- the base can bulge outwards, which should enable automatic flaking or detachment of limescale deposits.
- shower jet outlet nozzles are known in a variety of designs, in which a side wall and possibly an optionally present floor made of elastic material are designed to be deformed only by pressure exerted by the user, in particular to remove limescale deposits.
- the nozzles and in particular their jet outlet opening should remain dimensionally stable under the shower fluid operating pressure acting during operation of the shower and therefore not move deform to ensure a constant spray pattern of the emitted shower jet, for which purpose its side wall and its optional base are designed with appropriate pressure resistance.
- WO 95/22407 A1 discloses such a cup-shaped shower jet outlet nozzle made of elastic material, the possibility also being mentioned there that a cup ring base of the nozzle bulges outwards when the design is inwardly curved or flat due to the prevailing shower fluid operating pressure.
- shower jet outlet nozzles are also known whose jet outlet opening structure is not formed with an open but with a closed initial configuration, ie whose opening cross section is zero in the pressureless initial configuration, with the jet outlet opening structure then only opening under the influence of the shower fluid operating pressure.
- a shower jet outlet nozzle of this type is in the patent application EP 1 700 636 A2 disclosed.
- the respective jet outlet opening is formed or covered by an elastic closure membrane which is provided with a slit pattern which is closed in the pressureless state and through which the closure membrane can be deformed and opened under the action of fluid pressure.
- this type of nozzle is typically used to prevent the undesirable effect of dripping.
- Another shower jet outlet nozzle of this type is disclosed in the patent application DE 31 01 808 A1 disclosed
- the invention is based on the technical problem of providing a shower jet outlet nozzle of the type mentioned at the outset, which is further improved compared to the above-mentioned prior art, in particular with regard to the shower jet characteristics that it can provide at different levels of shower fluid operating pressures and preferably also with regard to the generation of a relatively fine shower jet Calcification tendency and justifiably low production costs. Furthermore, the invention aims to provide a corresponding shower.
- the invention solves this problem by providing a shower jet outlet nozzle with the features of claim 1 and a shower with the features of claim 15.
- Advantageous developments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims, the wording of which is hereby incorporated by reference into part of the description is made. In particular, this also includes all embodiments of the invention that result from the combinations of features that are defined by the back-references in the dependent claims.
- the jet outlet opening structure is at a distance from the side wall, and the bottom has a weakened pattern on an inside and/or on an outside with a wall thickness that is less than an adjoining area of the bottom, the weakened pattern being designed for this to deform elastically yielding under the influence of the fluid operating pressure in the hollow chamber.
- this measure contributes in a very advantageous manner to the shower jet outlet nozzle configured in this way being able to provide and maintain a desired shower jet characteristic for different fluid operating pressures.
- this measure helps to provide the desired constant increase in the opening cross section of the jet outlet opening structure with increasing shower fluid operating pressure and at the same time to influence the cross-sectional shape of the jet outlet opening structure with the shower fluid operating pressure changing within the normal operating pressure range, e.g. to largely maintain it qualitatively or alternatively to change it in a desired way.
- This contributes to achieving, e.g. maintaining or specifically changing a desired shower jet characteristic, i.e.
- a desired jet type or a desired spray pattern of the shower jet in different normal operating situations in which different shower fluid operating pressures are present in the hollow chamber of the nozzle, e.g. due to different Water pressures in different water supply networks or because of short-term fluctuations in the supply water pressure or because of different shower fluid volume flows, as they can be variably specified by the user, e.g. at an upstream shut-off valve, and the resulting changes in the shower fluid operating pressure in the nozzle cavity.
- the jet orifice structure is spaced from the sidewall of the nozzle, all of the associated jet orifices are located within a spaced region of the floor from the nozzle sidewall, thereby allowing the shape-stabilizing effect of the side wall can be transferred particularly well to the floor.
- the weakening pattern in the soil enables a targeted specification for the type and extent of elastically yielding deformation under the influence of fluid pressure.
- the base is more easily deformable in the area of the weakening pattern due to its smaller wall thickness than in the adjacent base area with a greater wall thickness, so that the fluid-pressure-dependent deformation of the base can be specifically influenced and thus defined by a defined configuration of the weakening pattern with regard to shape and wall thickness.
- the bottom can be formed by appropriate configuration of the weakening pattern, if required, such that on the one hand, as required, the opening cross section of the jet outlet opening structure increases steadily with the shower fluid operating pressure increasing within the normal operating pressure range and, on the other hand, the cross-sectional shape of the jet outlet opening structure remains easily controllable with the shower fluid operating pressure changing within the normal operating pressure range , For example, remains largely unchanged or undergoes a predetermined change in shape.
- the nozzle has a significantly flatter characteristic curve for the increase in fluid pressure in the nozzle with increasing volume flow of shower fluid passing through the nozzle compared to conventional, rigid nozzles of a type that does not deform as a function of fluid pressure, and at the same time the cross-sectional shape of the Jet exit opening structure can be retained qualitatively depending on need and application or can also be specified in a targeted manner depending on the fluid pressure in certain cases.
- the weakening pattern can contribute in particular to achieving a desired high degree of continuity in the dependence of the bottom deformation and the resulting widening of the respective jet outlet opening on the increase in the internal nozzle pressure, which avoids abrupt changes in the cross-sectional shape and the opening cross section of the jet outlet opening when the internal nozzle pressure changes.
- the jet outlet opening structure of the shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention has at least one jet outlet opening with an opening radius that alternately increases and decreases in the circumferential direction, forming alternating bulge areas and indented areas, the bulge areas each having a rounded shape with an associated minimum bulge radius of curvature and the indented areas each have a rounded shape with an associated minimum indentation radius of curvature.
- the minimum bulge radii of curvature and the minimum indentation radii of curvature are in the range between 0.01 mm and 1 mm.
- the minimum bulge radii of curvature have a size ratio of between 0.3 and 2.5 to the minimum bulge radii of curvature.
- the jet exit opening structure comprises a plurality of jet exit openings, all of these jet exit openings can have such a shape with bulge area and indentation areas or only a part thereof.
- the jet exit opening structure configured in this way makes it possible to achieve particularly advantageous shower jet characteristics.
- the alternating sequence of bulge areas and indented areas and their sufficiently rounded shape with the specified minimum radii of curvature or with their size ratio not deviating too much from the value one, specifically between 0.3 and 2.5 lies contributes to the advantageous shower jet characteristics of the jet outlet opening in question, it also being shown that this configuration of the jet outlet opening allows a desired, consistently favorable shower jet characteristic to be achieved over a wide range of possible shower fluid operating pressures and not just for a very specific shower fluid operating pressure or a narrow one Partial range of the shower fluid operating pressure within a range of practically occurring, relevant shower fluid operating pressures.
- the shower jet can be given an unforeseeable, surprisingly advantageous jet characteristic by the jet outlet opening with its rounded bulge and indentation areas and can also be largely maintained over the wide normal operating pressure range of possible fluid pressures and the resulting, differently widened cross-sectional shapes of the jet outlet opening.
- the shower jet emerging from this jet outlet opening is able to largely retain its jet shape over a relatively long distance after leaving the jet outlet opening, without breaking up into individual jets or droplets after a short distance.
- the jet outlet opening structure of the shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention has at least one jet outlet opening with a non-planar opening edge that runs in a wavy manner with an axial direction component pointing in the fluid outlet direction and counter to the fluid outlet direction with respect to a plane of the base.
- the fluid outlet direction is to be understood as meaning the direction of the longitudinal axis of the nozzle pointing out of the nozzle, with the shower fluid leaving the nozzle with a directional component pointing in this fluid outlet direction, in most cases with a main directional component pointing in this direction, i.e. parallel to it or under one acute angles of less than 45° to this.
- the jet exit opening structure comprises a plurality of jet exit openings, all of these jet exit openings can have such a non-planar opening edge or only part of them.
- this configuration of the jet outlet opening in question also contributes to providing both the desired constant increase in the opening cross section of the jet outlet opening and thus the jet outlet structure overall with an increasing shower fluid operating pressure within a normal operating pressure range in a favorable manner also to be able to provide a favorable shower jet characteristic for different shower fluid operating pressures within the normal operating pressure range, be it to the effect of keeping the cross-sectional shape of the jet outlet opening structure and a resulting shower jet characteristic largely constant over the normal operating pressure range or to be able to change it in a desired manner in a targeted manner, each achieved by a corresponding concrete Design of the non-planar opening edge of the relevant jet configuration dispute opening.
- Each of these aspects of the invention also contributes to keeping the calcification tendency of the shower jet outlet nozzle low, in particular thanks to the fluid pressure-dependent variable elastic deformation of the nozzle base, which prevents limescale deposits and can automatically remove any limescale deposits again, and to be able to generate a relatively fine shower jet if necessary, for which the respective jet exit opening can be configured with a correspondingly small opening cross section.
- the shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention can also be manufactured with comparatively little effort in each of the three aspects of the invention mentioned and is well suited, for example, for sanitary showers, such as shower heads in the form of overhead, hand and side showers in shower rooms and for kitchen showers, as used in kitchen work stations will.
- the shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention can be optimally adapted in terms of its jet generation behavior or its shower jet outlet characteristics to different fluid pressures, such as can occur during normal shower operation, e.g different predetermined fluid pressures in different water supply networks of different countries or regions as well as operational fluctuations in the fluid pressure of a water supply or another fluid supply and any fluid pressure fluctuations in normal shower operation that can occur in an associated shower itself.
- a particular advantage is, among other things, that with the shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention, the shower fluid operating pressure, i.e.
- the internal pressure of the shower fluid in the nozzle hollow chamber and especially in the vicinity of the nozzle outlet increases significantly less with an increasing volume flow of shower fluid passed through the nozzle than with conventional shower jet outlet nozzles is the case, which are of similar construction, but are designed as rigid nozzles that do not appreciably deform under the fluid pressure in normal shower operation.
- the shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention has a significantly flatter characteristic curve for the internal pressure as a function of the volume flow compared to these conventional nozzles.
- the shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention enables comparatively high volume flows of fluid passing through the nozzle while the internal fluid pressure in the hollow nozzle chamber remains comparatively low.
- the shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention therefore enables both relatively low and relatively high volume flows, preferably while largely maintaining the shower jet characteristics or the jet pattern of the shower jet emitted by it and without an undesirably sharp increase in the fluid pressure in the nozzle hollow chamber.
- the weakening pattern contains at least one weakening area in the base, which extends away from an associated jet exit opening of the jet exit opening structure. If the weakening pattern comprises several weakening areas, this feature is implemented in all of these weakening areas or only in a part of them, as required.
- the extension of the weakened area, in which the bottom deforms particularly easily, up to the jet outlet opening proves to be advantageous for many applications with regard to a desired widening deformation of the jet outlet opening with increasing shower fluid operating pressure in the nozzle hollow chamber.
- the weakened area or areas of the weakening pattern maintain a certain minimum distance from the beam exit opening or the edge of the opening.
- the weakened area in the base is a line-shaped weakened area which runs in a straight line with a main radial direction component or is bent once or is bent several times in the form of a wavy line.
- This measure proves to be favorable for the further optimization of the ground deformation behavior for many applications.
- the course of the linear weakened area in the radial direction with respect to the bottom or the jet outlet opening or in a predominantly radial direction contributes to a favorable deformation behavior in terms of achieving a desired influencing of the cross-sectional shape of the jet outlet opening that widens with higher fluid pressure.
- a rectilinear course of the weakened area can also simplify production.
- a single curve or a wavy curve with multiple curves enables an even greater deformation of the bottom and thus of its jet outlet opening structure over a comparatively large range of possible shower jet fluid operating pressures.
- the deformation of the base in the area of the jet exit opening can thereby take place with an additional rotational component about the longitudinal axis of the jet exit opening.
- the weakened area can, for example, have a spiral course with a radial minority directional component, i.e. it then extends radially with a smaller directional component and with a main directional component in a direction perpendicular to the radial direction.
- the weakened area in the base extends to the side wall and merges there into a weakened area in the side wall. This measure allows the side wall to contribute to the deformation behavior of the floor, particularly in the area adjacent to the floor, since the additional weakened area in the side wall means a certain weakening of the side wall and its shape-stabilizing effect on the floor. Depending on the design of this additional weakened area in the side wall, the deformation of the bottom can also be caused by an additional be accompanied by deformation of the side wall. In alternative embodiments where there is no need for this functionality of the sidewall, the sidewall is implemented without an area of weakness.
- the weakened area in the base is a linear weakened area, which leads away from one of the bulge areas or one of the indented areas of the associated jet exit opening.
- This measure can advantageously contribute to specifically influencing the cross-sectional shape of the jet outlet opening when the jet outlet opening is widened by increased deformation of the base with increasing shower fluid operating pressure, e.g. qualitatively maintaining a predetermined cross-sectional shape, and/or the widening of the jet outlet opening with higher fluid pressure, especially in the area of its bulge areas or to specifically influence or promote their indentation areas.
- the weakened area does not lead away from bulge or indented areas of the jet exit opening, e.g. in cases where the jet exit opening has no such bulge and indented areas, or in cases where the weakened area in a section of the jet exit opening outside of its bulge areas and indented areas.
- the base for the jet outlet opening from which the at least one weakened area extends away, is formed with a jet angle, with the weakened area or areas extending away from the jet outlet opening on the inside of the base in a jet angle-adjusted manner relative to a longitudinal center plane of the jet outlet opening are formed in an asymmetrical arrangement and/or the base is inclined on the inside at least in an area containing the jet outlet opening, increasing the angle of the jet and/or the jet outlet opening is arranged off-centre in the base, reducing the angle of the jet.
- the characterization that the base for the jet outlet opening is formed with a jet angle setting means that the base in this case is formed in such a way that the jet outlet opening is set at a jet angle, i.e. when the nozzle is in operation, the shower jet emerges from this jet outlet opening a jet angle which is employed with respect to the longitudinal axis of the nozzle, ie forms an acute angle with it.
- this acute angle or angle of attack for sanitary shower applications is, for example, in the range between 0° and 30°, mostly between 0° and 20°, for example between 5° and 15°.
- this jet angle adjustment is advantageously provided by the corresponding design of the base, in particular by a corresponding asymmetrical arrangement of its weakened area(s) on the inside and/or by a correspondingly inclined profile of its base inner side and/or by a corresponding eccentric arrangement of the jet outlet opening.
- the weakened areas on the inside of the base can act as channels for the shower fluid, with their asymmetrical arrangement ensuring that the shower fluid has a higher flow rate on one side than on the opposite side with respect to the longitudinal center plane of the jet outlet opening, which The result is that the shower fluid does not exit parallel to this longitudinal center plane from the jet outlet opening, but at an incline, i.e. at the said angle of attack to the longitudinal axis of the nozzle.
- the same or a similar effect can be achieved by sloping the inside of the base or by arranging the jet outlet opening off-centre in the base.
- the angle of attack for the shower jet remains largely constant to an unexpected degree with changing shower fluid operating pressure and the resulting deformation of the base and widening or narrowing of the jet outlet opening.
- the desired angle of attack remains essentially unchanged both for operating conditions with relatively small volume flows of fluid passing through the nozzle and for operating conditions with relatively high volume flows.
- the nozzle is realized with its base without such a jet angle adjustment, ie in this case the shower jet emerges from the nozzle with the main jet direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the nozzle.
- the asymmetrical arrangement of the weakened area(s) extending away from the jet outlet opening on the inside of the base comprises two linear weakened areas of different lengths and/or different widths lying opposite one another with respect to the longitudinal center plane, or one extending away from the jet outlet opening Weakened area on the inside of the base, which is opposite an unweakened base area with respect to the longitudinal center plane of the jet outlet opening.
- the weakening pattern includes at least one weakened area on the inside and on the outside of the base, the at least one weakened area on the inside being offset relative to the at least one weakened area on the outside in the circumferential direction of the base.
- the weakened areas on both sides are offset from one another in the circumferential direction of the base, they do not interfere with one another and can therefore be made in the base, for example, as recesses which have a depth of approximately half the wall thickness of the base or more.
- the formation of the areas of weakness on both sides of the base requires less Wall weakening of the base versus forming the weakening pattern only on the inside or only on the outside of the base. In alternative embodiments, where this is sufficient and appropriate, the weakening pattern is formed only on the inside or only on the outside of the base.
- the jet exit opening structure has a jet exit opening with a rounded polygonal basic cross-sectional shape, with the bulge areas forming rounded corner areas of the polygonal basic cross-sectional shape.
- the jet exit opening structure comprises a plurality of jet exit openings, all of these jet exit openings can have such a basic cross-sectional shape or only part of it. It has been shown that this selection of the basic cross-sectional shape for the respective jet outlet opening leads to a jet characteristic of the shower jet emerging from the jet outlet opening that is optimal for most applications, especially in sanitary showers, under the various shower fluid operating pressures within the normal operating pressure range.
- this can be a square or triangular basic cross-sectional shape and for some applications also a polygonal basic cross-sectional shape with more than four rounded corner areas or bulge areas, e.g. one with five or six rounded corner areas.
- the jet exit opening structure has a jet exit opening with an exit equivalent diameter in the range from 0.2 mm to 1.2 mm.
- the jet exit opening is formed with an opening cross section that corresponds to the opening cross section of a fictitious circular jet exit opening with an opening diameter of between 0.2 mm and 1.2 mm.
- Such jet outlet openings produce a correspondingly fine shower jet, which is therefore also referred to as a needle jet or fine jet by those skilled in the art.
- each jet exit opening has an exit equivalent diameter of more than 1.2 mm or even less than 0.2 mm.
- a wall thickness of the base outside of the weakening pattern is in the range from 0.1 mm to 1 mm. This dimensioning of the thickness of the base proves to be advantageous for most applications, in particular in sanitary showers, with regard to sufficient pressure stability of the base on the one hand and its desired fluid pressure-dependent deformability on the other.
- the thickness of the bottom wall outside of the weakening pattern is less than 0.1mm or more than 1mm for special applications.
- a minimum wall thickness of the base in the area of the weakening pattern is between one fifth and half the wall thickness of the base outside of the weakening pattern. This is an optimal ratio for the wall thickness of the base in the weakened area on the one hand and in the non-weakened area on the other hand for many applications, especially for sanitary showers in order to meet the required properties in terms of stability on the one hand and deformability on the other Applications may be appropriate, this ratio is less than one fifth or greater than 0.5.

- the jet exit opening structure comprises a plurality of jet exit openings, all of these jet exit openings can have such an entry area or only part of them. This configuration and dimensioning of the entry area of the jet outlet opening proves to be advantageous with regard to the jet characteristics provided by the jet outlet opening of the shower jet emitted by it.
- the shower jet emerging from this jet outlet opening has proven to be comparatively stable, ie it largely retains its jet shape over a relatively long distance after leaving the jet outlet opening without, for example, unraveling into several individual jets or breaking up into droplets.
- the specified entry radius of curvature is selected to be less than 0.1 mm or greater than 0.3 mm if the associated jet characteristics for the shower jet are acceptable for the given application.
- the inner diameter of the hollow chamber is in the range from 1.5 mm to 4 mm. This dimensioning measure for the nozzle proves to be advantageous for many applications, especially in the case of sanitary showers, with regard to the shower jet made possible as a result.
- the inner diameter of the hollow chamber of the nozzle can also be selected to be smaller than 1.5 mm or larger than 4 mm for specific applications.
- the length of the hollow chamber of the nozzle is in the range from 4 mm to 8 mm. This also represents a dimensioning measure for the nozzle, which has proven to be advantageous for numerous applications, particularly in the case of sanitary showers. Alternatively, the length of the hollow chamber can also be chosen to be less than 4 mm or greater than 8 mm if this appears appropriate for special applications.
- the wall thickness of the side wall is at least 0.8 mm.
- This dimensioning measure for the side wall results in a desired sufficient stability of the side wall, which in the shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention primarily functions as a base-stabilizing element and, in contrast to the base, should not or at least not significantly deform under the fluid operating pressures occurring during normal operation.
- this wall thickness specification relates to the wall thickness of the side wall outside of the weakened area in cases in which the side wall also has a weakened area or a weakened pattern. In alternative designs, it can be provided for certain applications that the side wall be designed with a wall thickness of less than 0.8 mm.

- the base can be deformed accordingly depending on the shower fluid operating pressure in order to bring about the desired change in the opening cross-section of the one or more jet outlet openings there, while the stiffening web pattern contributes to the base being sufficiently rigid and therefore pressure-resistant overall, despite the deformability of its sub-areas to lend.
- a web of the stiffening web pattern extends up to one of the jet exit openings.
- the stiffening web pattern contributes to giving the base, which deforms under the operating pressure of the shower fluid and is provided with a plurality of jet outlet openings, sufficient inherent stability.

- This entry area 4 E also has a figure 5 marked entry radius of curvature E R between 0.1mm and 0.3mm. It has been shown that this measure supports a low-turbulence flow of the shower fluid from the hollow chamber 1 into the jet outlet opening 4, which contributes to stabilizing the jet shape of the shower jet emerging from the jet outlet opening 4 to the outside.

- This dimensioning of the side wall 2 is preferably matched to the other dimensions of the nozzle in such a way that under the influence of the shower fluid operating pressure, as long as this remains within the normal operating pressure range, essentially only the bottom 3 deforms elastically, while the side wall 2 deforms at these pressure values of the shower fluid operating pressure in the hollow chamber 1 is not noticeably deformed, ie remains essentially rigid.
- the jet outlet opening structure (4s) contains a plurality of jet outlet openings 4, and the base 3 has a stiffening web pattern 10 with a greater wall thickness than an adjacent area of the base 3, the stiffening web pattern 10 dividing the base into a plurality of base sub-areas, in each of which at least one of the jet outlet openings 4 is arranged, or extends with a respective stiffening web end up to a respective one of the jet outlet openings 4 .
- Embodiments of this type are in the Figures 34 to 39 illustrated.
- the stiffening web pattern 10 is formed in a star shape with three radial webs, through which the base 3 is divided into three base subregions 3 1 , 3 2 , 3 3 , in each of which one of the three cross-shaped jet exit openings 4 is located. Each of these beam exit openings 4 is assigned the attenuation pattern 5 with the respective four linear, rectilinear attenuation areas 5 1 to 5 4 .
- the stiffening web pattern 10 has a stabilizing effect on the floor 3 and limits the deformation of the floor 3 to a predeterminable, desired extent.
- the embodiment of 38 and 39 corresponds to that of 34 and 35 with the modification that the jet exit openings 4 are those with a rounded triangular instead of a quadrangular basic cross-sectional shape and the associated weakening pattern 5 is the three linear, rectilinear weakening areas 5 1 , 5 2 , 5 that extend radially outwards from the bulge areas 6 of the jet exit opening 4 3 includes.
- the stiffening web pattern 10 has a cross shape made up of stiffening webs which are arranged in a central area of the base 3, with each web end being adjoined by one of four cross-shaped jet outlet openings 4 in this case.
- the elastically deformable base 3 has only one cross-shaped jet outlet opening 4 in the central area of the base 3 .
- the bottom weakening pattern 5 with the four inside bottom, linear, rectilinear weakening areas 5 1 to 5 4 is additionally provided. This facilitates the deformation of the bottom 3 at a given shower fluid operating pressure or nozzle internal pressure in the hollow chamber 1.
- each of the four bottom-inside, linear, rectilinear weakened areas 5 1 to 5 4 continues through the additional linear, rectilinear weakened area 9 in the nozzle side wall 2, which extends over the entire length of the hollow chamber or side wall.
- the Weakened areas 9 in the side wall 2 can reduce the stabilizing effect of the side wall 2 on the base 3 to a desired extent, which, if necessary, allows a greater deformation of the base 3 at a given pressure.
- the weakening pattern 5 is formed on the outside of the bottom instead of on the inside of the bottom.
- the bottom-inside weakened areas 5 1 to 5 4 open out in a wedge shape into the indentation areas 7 instead of as in the exemplary embodiments of FIG Figures 6 to 11 in the bulge areas 6.
- the weakened areas 5 1 to 5 4 extend simply in a curved or bent manner. As a result, they have a greater length with the same radial extent, which can facilitate the deformation of the bottom 3 if necessary.
- the linear weakened areas 5 1 to 5 4 run in the form of wavy lines, as a result of which their length can be further increased with the same radial extent, which can further promote the deformation behavior of the base 3 .
- 18 and 19 1 includes the weakening pattern 5 instead of the four weakening areas 5 1 to 5 4 extending from the bulge areas 6 of the example in FIG 16 and 17 the five wavy weakened areas 5 1 to 5 5 , whereby the base 3 can be deformed even more easily if necessary.
- the jet outlet opening 4 has an elongated, rounded cross shape with a 21 longer cross axis extending from left to right and a 21 shorter cross axis extending from bottom to top, while in the other cross-shaped beam exit openings 4 shown, the two cross axes are of equal length.
- the jet shape of the shower jet emerging from the jet outlet opening 4 can thus be modified accordingly if required.
- the elongated cross shape facilitates the deformation of the base 3 in this area.
- the exemplary embodiments Figures 25 to 33 enable a desired jet angle setting by appropriate design of the weakening pattern 5, at which the shower jet does not emerge exactly parallel to the nozzle longitudinal axis D L from the relevant jet outlet opening 4 and thus leaves the nozzle, but rather at an acute angle of attack to the nozzle longitudinal axis D L .
- the weakening pattern 5 is preferably formed asymmetrically to the mentioned longitudinal central axis L M of the nozzle, either through asymmetrical distribution of the associated weakened areas, as in the examples in FIG Figures 25 to 28 or by different dimensioning of corresponding weakening areas, as in the examples of 32 and 33 or by a slope of the bottom 3 on its inside 3 I , as in the example 30 and 31 .
- the slope is formed in the manner of an inclined plane, which is shown in the view of 30 diagonally from top left to bottom right.
- the shower fluid emerging from the jet outlet opening 4 has a resulting flow direction in 26 symbolized by a flow arrow F 3 , which is somewhat more dominated by the larger transverse component of the greater flow velocity on the side of the weakened area 5 1c than by the smaller transverse component of the lower flow velocity in the unweakened bottom area 3u, so that the shower jet is not exactly parallel to the longitudinal axis of the nozzle D L from the jet exit opening 4 and thus the nozzle exits , but under an employed jet direction, which is one in 26 specified angle of attack ⁇ includes.
- the angle of attack ⁇ can be selected within a relatively wide range, with an angle of attack in the range greater than 0° and smaller than approximately 20° to 30° being preferred, e.g. frequently an angle between 5° and 15°.
- the angle of attack effect is not based on the fact that a weakened area is opposite an unweakened ground area, but rather that weakened areas of unequal strength are opposite one another, this being the case in the example of 30 and 31 is additionally reinforced by the inclined position of the bottom inside 3 I.
- the exemplary embodiments 34 to 42 each have a plurality of jet outlet openings 4 in the floor 3, and it can be favorable for floor stabilization to provide the stiffening web pattern 10, as in the examples of FIG Figures 34 to 39 .
- Circular jet exit openings 4 are used, the base there being designed to be comparatively easily deformable, in that the mentioned weakened areas of the weakening pattern 5 are formed both on the outside of the base and on the inside of the base.
- the 43 and 44 illustrate for one in the execution of the Figures 6 and 7 manufactured nozzle according to the invention the advantageous bottom deformation behavior of the nozzle with a considerable increase in the effective opening cross section of the jet outlet opening 4 with increasing shower fluid operating pressure, ie nozzle internal pressure in the hollow chamber 1.
- Figure 43 shows the nozzle in its unpressurized initial state with the rounded cross shape of the central jet outlet opening 4, as also shown in FIGS Figures 6 and 7 can be seen.
- Figure 44 shows the nozzle in the same view under an operating pressure load of approx. 1.0 bar, which is already a pressure value that is usually slightly above the normal operating pressure range. It's easy to see how the ground is changing 3 has deformed arching outwards, whereby the opening cross section of the jet outlet opening 4 has increased sharply, for example to approximately five to six times its cross section in the depressurized state of the Figure 43 .
- the 45 to 48 illustrate that the nozzle according to the invention also has the advantage that the base 3 is deformed quasi fully symmetrically along the circumference of the jet outlet opening 4 both in the possible weakened areas and in the non-weakened base areas.
- This has the further advantageous effect that the deformation of the base 3, which increases with increasing fluid operating pressure, does not cause any significant change in the jet angle at which the shower jet leaves the jet outlet opening 4 and thus the nozzle, regardless of whether the shower jet emerges parallel to the longitudinal axis D L of the nozzle or at an oblique angle or angle of attack to this.
- Figure 45 illustrates the operating situation in the pressureless state or at best with a very low fluid operating pressure, which does not result in any significant deformation of the base 3.
- Figure 46 shows the nozzle with slightly increased fluid pressure.
- the base 3 has already slightly deformed, arching outwards.
- the base 3 in the weakened area 5 1c on the one hand and in the non-weakened base area 3u on the other hand at the edge of the jet outlet opening 4 has essentially arched outwards to the same extent. This is also for the operating conditions, each with a further increased fluid operating pressure according to the 47 and 48 to recognize.
- Figure 49 qualitatively illustrates the particularly advantageous behavior of the shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention at different fluid operating pressures in a characteristic diagram of the shower fluid operating pressure, i.e. the shower fluid pressure prevailing inside the hollow chamber 1 of the nozzle, preferably in the vicinity of the respective jet outlet opening 4, during operation of the nozzle, as a function of the volume flow, i.e. the volume of shower fluid passing through the jet outlet opening structure 4s of the nozzle per unit time.
- a characteristic curve K1 shows the behavior of a conventional shower jet outlet nozzle which does not deform under the action of the fluid operating pressure and which thus has no noticeably widening deformation of its jet outlet opening structure as the volume flow increases.
- the internal pressure in the nozzle which, as mentioned, is specifically the pressure directly in front of the respective jet outlet opening, increases essentially quadratically in this conventional nozzle, as can be seen from the course of the characteristic curve K1.
- the internal nozzle pressure in the nozzle according to the invention increases significantly less with increasing volume flow, the associated pressure behavior as a function of the volume flow is qualitatively indicated by a characteristic K2 in Figure 49 illustrated.
- This favorable nozzle behavior is based on the property of the nozzle according to the invention that its base deforms with increasing shower fluid operating pressure and the opening cross section of its jet outlet opening structure 4s thereby increases significantly. This enables relatively high volume flows with a relatively low internal nozzle pressure.
- the nozzle according to the invention enables volume flows of up to approximately 30 liters/min with an appropriate design at an internal nozzle pressure of at most approximately 0.4 bar and preferably even only up to approximately 0.2 bar.
- the nozzle according to the invention enables relatively high volume flows during operation even at a relatively low shower fluid operating pressure or nozzle internal pressure.
- the nozzle according to the invention enables relatively high volume flows even in the normal operating pressure range of up to approx. 0.4 bar or approx. 0.5 bar. This makes the nozzle according to the invention particularly suitable for flexible use in applications with different available fluid operating pressures.
- the nozzle according to the invention can be used in an identical design for different regions or countries that provide different levels of fluid supply pressures, while conventionally, mostly specially adapted nozzles of different designs have to be used for this.
- the shower according to the invention has at least one shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention and can in particular be a sanitary shower.
- Figure 12 illustrates an example where the shower head is of a flat design known per se, such as that used for sanitary overhead showers.
- the shower shown has a shower housing 11 which is pivotably held on an inlet nozzle 13 via a ball joint 12 .

Description
The invention relates to a pot-shaped shower jet outlet nozzle, which includes a hollow chamber, a side wall delimiting the hollow chamber transversely to a nozzle longitudinal axis, and a base delimiting the hollow chamber in the direction of the nozzle longitudinal axis on the outlet side, which base is made of an elastic material and in which one of one or more Jet outlet openings existing jet outlet opening structure is formed with an open initial configuration, wherein the base is designed to be elastically deformed with its jet outlet opening structure under the influence of a shower fluid operating pressure in the hollow chamber and thereby an opening cross section of the jet outlet opening structure with within a normal operating pressure range increasing shower fluid operating pressure to steadily increase. The invention also relates to a shower with one or more such shower jet outlet nozzles.
Shower jet outlet nozzles of this and similar types are widely used in showers, such as sanitary showers in particular. The elastically yielding deformability of the floor can be used for different purposes. In the case of the generic nozzle type mentioned, the jet outlet structure consisting of the jet outlet orifices has an open initial configuration, which means that even in the pressureless initial situation, in which there is no or at least no significant fluid pressure in the nozzle cavity, the jet outlet structure is open, i.e. the passage of fluid enabling configuration. In other words, the opening cross-section of the jet outlet opening structure, i.e. its effective passage cross-section, which is decisive for the passage of shower fluid, is greater than zero even in the unpressurized initial state, in contrast to other types of nozzles, which are closed in the unpressurized initial configuration and only open when the fluid pressure is applied.
Under shower fluid operating pressure is present, as the name suggests, to understand the pressure of the shower fluid when the shower jet outlet nozzle is in operation refers to an intended, normal operation of the nozzle and not to special situations such as overpressure situations in which the pressure of the shower fluid in the nozzle hollow chamber rises above a normal operating pressure range, eg due to clogging of the jet outlet opening structure. More precisely, the shower fluid operating pressure means that fluid pressure in the normal shower operation of the nozzle that prevails in the hollow chamber of the nozzle, which is why it is also referred to as the nozzle internal pressure, or internal pressure for short. The normal operating pressure range designates the pressure range in which the fluid pressure lies during normal operation of the nozzle or can lie depending on the current operating environment. The actual fluid operating pressure can depend, for example, on country- or region-specific specifications or conditions of an associated fluid supply, such as a public water supply, but also on the design of the relevant shower head and its state of use. In the case of sanitary showers that are connected to public water supplies, the supply pressure available in the building is typically in a range from approx. 0.5 bar to approx. 1.5 bar, and the shower fluid operating pressure in the nozzle cavity, ie the nozzle internal pressure , then in normal operation, for example, assumes values in the interval from 0 bar to approx. 0.4 bar, mostly between approx. 0.2 bar and 0.4 bar. An internal nozzle pressure of more than approx. 0.5 bar, as can occur in conventional showers, for example due to clogged nozzles, is generally undesirable for sanitary showers because of the associated risk of damage to the nozzle or shower due to the pressure load, see above that this is counteracted, for example, by installing pressure relief valves.

The invention is based on the technical problem of providing a shower jet outlet nozzle of the type mentioned at the outset, which is further improved compared to the above-mentioned prior art, in particular with regard to the shower jet characteristics that it can provide at different levels of shower fluid operating pressures and preferably also with regard to the generation of a relatively fine shower jet Calcification tendency and justifiably low production costs. Furthermore, the invention aims to provide a corresponding shower.
The invention solves this problem by providing a shower jet outlet nozzle with the features of
According to a first aspect of the invention, in the shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention, the jet outlet opening structure is at a distance from the side wall, and the bottom has a weakened pattern on an inside and/or on an outside with a wall thickness that is less than an adjoining area of the bottom, the weakened pattern being designed for this to deform elastically yielding under the influence of the fluid operating pressure in the hollow chamber.
It has been shown, verifiable by computer simulation and/or experimental tests, that this measure contributes in a very advantageous manner to the shower jet outlet nozzle configured in this way being able to provide and maintain a desired shower jet characteristic for different fluid operating pressures. In particular, this measure helps to provide the desired constant increase in the opening cross section of the jet outlet opening structure with increasing shower fluid operating pressure and at the same time to influence the cross-sectional shape of the jet outlet opening structure with the shower fluid operating pressure changing within the normal operating pressure range, e.g. to largely maintain it qualitatively or alternatively to change it in a desired way. This contributes to achieving, e.g. maintaining or specifically changing a desired shower jet characteristic, i.e. a desired jet type or a desired spray pattern of the shower jet, in different normal operating situations in which different shower fluid operating pressures are present in the hollow chamber of the nozzle, e.g. due to different Water pressures in different water supply networks or because of short-term fluctuations in the supply water pressure or because of different shower fluid volume flows, as they can be variably specified by the user, e.g. at an upstream shut-off valve, and the resulting changes in the shower fluid operating pressure in the nozzle cavity.
Because the jet orifice structure is spaced from the sidewall of the nozzle, all of the associated jet orifices are located within a spaced region of the floor from the nozzle sidewall, thereby allowing the shape-stabilizing effect of the side wall can be transferred particularly well to the floor. The weakening pattern in the soil enables a targeted specification for the type and extent of elastically yielding deformation under the influence of fluid pressure. The base is more easily deformable in the area of the weakening pattern due to its smaller wall thickness than in the adjacent base area with a greater wall thickness, so that the fluid-pressure-dependent deformation of the base can be specifically influenced and thus defined by a defined configuration of the weakening pattern with regard to shape and wall thickness. In particular, the bottom can be formed by appropriate configuration of the weakening pattern, if required, such that on the one hand, as required, the opening cross section of the jet outlet opening structure increases steadily with the shower fluid operating pressure increasing within the normal operating pressure range and, on the other hand, the cross-sectional shape of the jet outlet opening structure remains easily controllable with the shower fluid operating pressure changing within the normal operating pressure range , For example, remains largely unchanged or undergoes a predetermined change in shape. This has the advantageous result that the nozzle has a significantly flatter characteristic curve for the increase in fluid pressure in the nozzle with increasing volume flow of shower fluid passing through the nozzle compared to conventional, rigid nozzles of a type that does not deform as a function of fluid pressure, and at the same time the cross-sectional shape of the Jet exit opening structure can be retained qualitatively depending on need and application or can also be specified in a targeted manner depending on the fluid pressure in certain cases. The weakening pattern can contribute in particular to achieving a desired high degree of continuity in the dependence of the bottom deformation and the resulting widening of the respective jet outlet opening on the increase in the internal nozzle pressure, which avoids abrupt changes in the cross-sectional shape and the opening cross section of the jet outlet opening when the internal nozzle pressure changes.
According to a second aspect of the invention, the jet outlet opening structure of the shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention has at least one jet outlet opening with an opening radius that alternately increases and decreases in the circumferential direction, forming alternating bulge areas and indented areas, the bulge areas each having a rounded shape with an associated minimum bulge radius of curvature and the indented areas each have a rounded shape with an associated minimum indentation radius of curvature. The minimum bulge radii of curvature and the minimum indentation radii of curvature are in the range between 0.01 mm and 1 mm. In addition or as an alternative to this dimensioning property, the minimum bulge radii of curvature have a size ratio of between 0.3 and 2.5 to the minimum bulge radii of curvature. In this case, if the jet exit opening structure comprises a plurality of jet exit openings, all of these jet exit openings can have such a shape with bulge area and indentation areas or only a part thereof.
It is shown, again verifiable by computer simulation and/or experimental tests, that the jet exit opening structure configured in this way makes it possible to achieve particularly advantageous shower jet characteristics. Among other things, it turns out that the alternating sequence of bulge areas and indented areas and their sufficiently rounded shape with the specified minimum radii of curvature or with their size ratio not deviating too much from the value one, specifically between 0.3 and 2.5 lies, contributes to the advantageous shower jet characteristics of the jet outlet opening in question, it also being shown that this configuration of the jet outlet opening allows a desired, consistently favorable shower jet characteristic to be achieved over a wide range of possible shower fluid operating pressures and not just for a very specific shower fluid operating pressure or a narrow one Partial range of the shower fluid operating pressure within a range of practically occurring, relevant shower fluid operating pressures. The shower jet can be given an unforeseeable, surprisingly advantageous jet characteristic by the jet outlet opening with its rounded bulge and indentation areas and can also be largely maintained over the wide normal operating pressure range of possible fluid pressures and the resulting, differently widened cross-sectional shapes of the jet outlet opening. The shower jet emerging from this jet outlet opening is able to largely retain its jet shape over a relatively long distance after leaving the jet outlet opening, without breaking up into individual jets or droplets after a short distance. This can have a correspondingly positive influence on the rounded bulge and indentation areas of the jet exit opening be attributed to the flow conditions in the shower jet, with which, for example, turbulence and singularities of the shower fluid flow are avoided, which could be caused by pointed or angular areas of the opening edge of the jet outlet opening. On the other hand, it may be the case that minimum indentation radii of curvature or minimum bulge radii of curvature of more than 1 mm make the deformation of the floor in the area of the jet exit opening more difficult and therefore do not provide the desired advantages for certain applications.
According to a third aspect of the invention, the jet outlet opening structure of the shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention has at least one jet outlet opening with a non-planar opening edge that runs in a wavy manner with an axial direction component pointing in the fluid outlet direction and counter to the fluid outlet direction with respect to a plane of the base. The fluid outlet direction is to be understood as meaning the direction of the longitudinal axis of the nozzle pointing out of the nozzle, with the shower fluid leaving the nozzle with a directional component pointing in this fluid outlet direction, in most cases with a main directional component pointing in this direction, i.e. parallel to it or under one acute angles of less than 45° to this. In this case, if the jet exit opening structure comprises a plurality of jet exit openings, all of these jet exit openings can have such a non-planar opening edge or only part of them.
It has been shown, again verifiable by computer simulation and/or experimental tests, that this configuration of the jet outlet opening in question also contributes to providing both the desired constant increase in the opening cross section of the jet outlet opening and thus the jet outlet structure overall with an increasing shower fluid operating pressure within a normal operating pressure range in a favorable manner also to be able to provide a favorable shower jet characteristic for different shower fluid operating pressures within the normal operating pressure range, be it to the effect of keeping the cross-sectional shape of the jet outlet opening structure and a resulting shower jet characteristic largely constant over the normal operating pressure range or to be able to change it in a desired manner in a targeted manner, each achieved by a corresponding concrete Design of the non-planar opening edge of the relevant jet configuration dispute opening. Due to its wavy course in relation to its longitudinal axis of the nozzle parallel axial direction component, according to which the opening edge runs alternately outwards out of the hollow nozzle chamber and inwards into the hollow nozzle chamber during its rotation along the circumference of the opening with a constantly changing axial direction component, resulting in a qualitative change in the opening cross section of the jet outlet opening Retention of their cross-sectional shape desired high elastic deformability of the nozzle base and thus of its jet outlet opening structure over a wide range of different shower fluid operating pressures, with a very uniform deformation behavior, ie a high degree of consistency of the same, can be achieved with changing nozzle internal pressure.
It has been shown that the three aspects of the invention mentioned above, each individually and, as is understood by the person skilled in the art on the basis of the information and explanations given, in any combination of two or all three aspects, contribute to the provision of a shower jet outlet nozzle which, in particular with regard to the provideable shower jet characteristic even with noticeably different shower fluid operating pressures within a normal normal operating pressure range in the nozzle hollow chamber allows significant advantages over the aforementioned shower jet outlet nozzles of the prior art. Each of these aspects of the invention also contributes to keeping the calcification tendency of the shower jet outlet nozzle low, in particular thanks to the fluid pressure-dependent variable elastic deformation of the nozzle base, which prevents limescale deposits and can automatically remove any limescale deposits again, and to be able to generate a relatively fine shower jet if necessary, for which the respective jet exit opening can be configured with a correspondingly small opening cross section. The shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention can also be manufactured with comparatively little effort in each of the three aspects of the invention mentioned and is well suited, for example, for sanitary showers, such as shower heads in the form of overhead, hand and side showers in shower rooms and for kitchen showers, as used in kitchen work stations will.
The shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention can be optimally adapted in terms of its jet generation behavior or its shower jet outlet characteristics to different fluid pressures, such as can occur during normal shower operation, e.g different predetermined fluid pressures in different water supply networks of different countries or regions as well as operational fluctuations in the fluid pressure of a water supply or another fluid supply and any fluid pressure fluctuations in normal shower operation that can occur in an associated shower itself. A particular advantage is, among other things, that with the shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention, the shower fluid operating pressure, i.e. the internal pressure of the shower fluid in the nozzle hollow chamber and especially in the vicinity of the nozzle outlet, increases significantly less with an increasing volume flow of shower fluid passed through the nozzle than with conventional shower jet outlet nozzles is the case, which are of similar construction, but are designed as rigid nozzles that do not appreciably deform under the fluid pressure in normal shower operation.
In other words, the shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention has a significantly flatter characteristic curve for the internal pressure as a function of the volume flow compared to these conventional nozzles. In other words, the shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention enables comparatively high volume flows of fluid passing through the nozzle while the internal fluid pressure in the hollow nozzle chamber remains comparatively low. The shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention therefore enables both relatively low and relatively high volume flows, preferably while largely maintaining the shower jet characteristics or the jet pattern of the shower jet emitted by it and without an undesirably sharp increase in the fluid pressure in the nozzle hollow chamber.
In a development of the invention, the weakening pattern contains at least one weakening area in the base, which extends away from an associated jet exit opening of the jet exit opening structure. If the weakening pattern comprises several weakening areas, this feature is implemented in all of these weakening areas or only in a part of them, as required. The extension of the weakened area, in which the bottom deforms particularly easily, up to the jet outlet opening proves to be advantageous for many applications with regard to a desired widening deformation of the jet outlet opening with increasing shower fluid operating pressure in the nozzle hollow chamber. In alternative implementations, as required for certain other applications may be expedient, the weakened area or areas of the weakening pattern maintain a certain minimum distance from the beam exit opening or the edge of the opening.
In one embodiment of the invention, the weakened area in the base is a line-shaped weakened area which runs in a straight line with a main radial direction component or is bent once or is bent several times in the form of a wavy line. This measure proves to be favorable for the further optimization of the ground deformation behavior for many applications. The course of the linear weakened area in the radial direction with respect to the bottom or the jet outlet opening or in a predominantly radial direction contributes to a favorable deformation behavior in terms of achieving a desired influencing of the cross-sectional shape of the jet outlet opening that widens with higher fluid pressure. A rectilinear course of the weakened area can also simplify production. Compared to a straight line, a single curve or a wavy curve with multiple curves enables an even greater deformation of the bottom and thus of its jet outlet opening structure over a comparatively large range of possible shower jet fluid operating pressures. In addition, if required, the deformation of the base in the area of the jet exit opening can thereby take place with an additional rotational component about the longitudinal axis of the jet exit opening. In alternative designs, which can be expedient for corresponding applications, the weakened area can, for example, have a spiral course with a radial minority directional component, i.e. it then extends radially with a smaller directional component and with a main directional component in a direction perpendicular to the radial direction.
In one embodiment of the invention, the weakened area in the base extends to the side wall and merges there into a weakened area in the side wall.
In one embodiment of the invention, the weakened area in the base is a linear weakened area, which leads away from one of the bulge areas or one of the indented areas of the associated jet exit opening. This measure can advantageously contribute to specifically influencing the cross-sectional shape of the jet outlet opening when the jet outlet opening is widened by increased deformation of the base with increasing shower fluid operating pressure, e.g. qualitatively maintaining a predetermined cross-sectional shape, and/or the widening of the jet outlet opening with higher fluid pressure, especially in the area of its bulge areas or to specifically influence or promote their indentation areas. In alternative designs, as may be appropriate for corresponding applications, the weakened area does not lead away from bulge or indented areas of the jet exit opening, e.g. in cases where the jet exit opening has no such bulge and indented areas, or in cases where the weakened area in a section of the jet exit opening outside of its bulge areas and indented areas.
In one embodiment of the invention, the base for the jet outlet opening, from which the at least one weakened area extends away, is formed with a jet angle, with the weakened area or areas extending away from the jet outlet opening on the inside of the base in a jet angle-adjusted manner relative to a longitudinal center plane of the jet outlet opening are formed in an asymmetrical arrangement and/or the base is inclined on the inside at least in an area containing the jet outlet opening, increasing the angle of the jet and/or the jet outlet opening is arranged off-centre in the base, reducing the angle of the jet.
The characterization that the base for the jet outlet opening is formed with a jet angle setting means that the base in this case is formed in such a way that the jet outlet opening is set at a jet angle, i.e. when the nozzle is in operation, the shower jet emerges from this jet outlet opening a jet angle which is employed with respect to the longitudinal axis of the nozzle, ie forms an acute angle with it. Typically, this acute angle or angle of attack for sanitary shower applications is, for example, in the range between 0° and 30°, mostly between 0° and 20°, for example between 5° and 15°.
In the present case, this jet angle adjustment is advantageously provided by the corresponding design of the base, in particular by a corresponding asymmetrical arrangement of its weakened area(s) on the inside and/or by a correspondingly inclined profile of its base inner side and/or by a corresponding eccentric arrangement of the jet outlet opening. These measures, either individually or in combination, contribute to the fact that the shower fluid enters the jet outlet opening on one side of the longitudinal center plane of the jet outlet opening with a higher flow velocity and also a higher transverse component of the flow velocity perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the nozzle than on the other, opposite side, This results in the effect that the shower jet does not emerge from the jet outlet opening parallel to the longitudinal axis of the nozzle, but at the said angle of attack.
The weakened areas on the inside of the base can act as channels for the shower fluid, with their asymmetrical arrangement ensuring that the shower fluid has a higher flow rate on one side than on the opposite side with respect to the longitudinal center plane of the jet outlet opening, which The result is that the shower fluid does not exit parallel to this longitudinal center plane from the jet outlet opening, but at an incline, i.e. at the said angle of attack to the longitudinal axis of the nozzle. The same or a similar effect can be achieved by sloping the inside of the base or by arranging the jet outlet opening off-centre in the base.
It has been shown that due to this base design, the angle of attack for the shower jet remains largely constant to an unexpected degree with changing shower fluid operating pressure and the resulting deformation of the base and widening or narrowing of the jet outlet opening. In other words, the desired angle of attack remains essentially unchanged both for operating conditions with relatively small volume flows of fluid passing through the nozzle and for operating conditions with relatively high volume flows. In alternatives In some versions, the nozzle is realized with its base without such a jet angle adjustment, ie in this case the shower jet emerges from the nozzle with the main jet direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the nozzle.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the asymmetrical arrangement of the weakened area(s) extending away from the jet outlet opening on the inside of the base comprises two linear weakened areas of different lengths and/or different widths lying opposite one another with respect to the longitudinal center plane, or one extending away from the jet outlet opening Weakened area on the inside of the base, which is opposite an unweakened base area with respect to the longitudinal center plane of the jet outlet opening. This represents a functionally very effective possibility that can be implemented relatively easily in terms of manufacturing technology for realizing the desired jet angle adjustment for the jet exit opening by means of a special asymmetrical arrangement of the associated weakened area(s). Alternatively, other implementations for this asymmetrical arrangement are possible, e.g. using correspondingly asymmetrically arranged planar instead of linear weakening areas.
In one development of the invention, the weakening pattern includes at least one weakened area on the inside and on the outside of the base, the at least one weakened area on the inside being offset relative to the at least one weakened area on the outside in the circumferential direction of the base. This measure proves to be advantageous, for example, for applications in which a comparatively large degree of deformability of the base is desired, ie the base should deform relatively strongly at a given fluid pressure. This is achieved by weakening the base on both sides, which allows the base to be more easily deformed than if there were only the weakened area on the inside or only the weakened area on the outside. Since the weakened areas on both sides are offset from one another in the circumferential direction of the base, they do not interfere with one another and can therefore be made in the base, for example, as recesses which have a depth of approximately half the wall thickness of the base or more. Conversely, to achieve a desired amount of deformation at a given fluid pressure, the formation of the areas of weakness on both sides of the base requires less Wall weakening of the base versus forming the weakening pattern only on the inside or only on the outside of the base. In alternative embodiments, where this is sufficient and appropriate, the weakening pattern is formed only on the inside or only on the outside of the base.
In a development of the invention, the jet exit opening structure has a jet exit opening with a rounded polygonal basic cross-sectional shape, with the bulge areas forming rounded corner areas of the polygonal basic cross-sectional shape. In this case, if the jet exit opening structure comprises a plurality of jet exit openings, all of these jet exit openings can have such a basic cross-sectional shape or only part of it. In particular, this can be a square or triangular basic cross-sectional shape and for some applications also a polygonal basic cross-sectional shape with more than four rounded corner areas or bulge areas, e.g. one with five or six rounded corner areas.
In a development of the invention, the jet exit opening structure has a jet exit opening with an exit equivalent diameter in the range from 0.2 mm to 1.2 mm. This means that the jet exit opening is formed with an opening cross section that corresponds to the opening cross section of a fictitious circular jet exit opening with an opening diameter of between 0.2 mm and 1.2 mm. It is accordingly a jet outlet opening with a relatively small opening cross section compared to jet outlet openings of conventional sanitary showers. Such jet outlet openings produce a correspondingly fine shower jet, which is therefore also referred to as a needle jet or fine jet by those skilled in the art. In corresponding realizations, this dimensioning applies to all jet outlet openings of the base or the nozzle or only to one of several jet outlet openings or only to a part of all jet outlet openings. In alternative embodiments, each jet exit opening has an exit equivalent diameter of more than 1.2 mm or even less than 0.2 mm.
In a development of the invention, a wall thickness of the base outside of the weakening pattern is in the range from 0.1 mm to 1 mm. This dimensioning of the thickness of the base proves to be advantageous for most applications, in particular in sanitary showers, with regard to sufficient pressure stability of the base on the one hand and its desired fluid pressure-dependent deformability on the other. In alternative embodiments, the thickness of the bottom wall outside of the weakening pattern is less than 0.1mm or more than 1mm for special applications.
In a development of the invention, a minimum wall thickness of the base in the area of the weakening pattern is between one fifth and half the wall thickness of the base outside of the weakening pattern.
In a further development of the invention, the jet outlet opening structure has a jet outlet opening with a funnel-like, quadrant-rounded entry area, which has an entry radius of curvature of between 0.1 mm and 0.3 mm. In this case, if the jet exit opening structure comprises a plurality of jet exit openings, all of these jet exit openings can have such an entry area or only part of them. This configuration and dimensioning of the entry area of the jet outlet opening proves to be advantageous with regard to the jet characteristics provided by the jet outlet opening of the shower jet emitted by it. In particular, the shower jet emerging from this jet outlet opening has proven to be comparatively stable, ie it largely retains its jet shape over a relatively long distance after leaving the jet outlet opening without, for example, unraveling into several individual jets or breaking up into droplets. In alternative embodiments, the specified entry radius of curvature is selected to be less than 0.1 mm or greater than 0.3 mm if the associated jet characteristics for the shower jet are acceptable for the given application.
In a further development of the invention, the inner diameter of the hollow chamber is in the range from 1.5 mm to 4 mm. This dimensioning measure for the nozzle proves to be advantageous for many applications, especially in the case of sanitary showers, with regard to the shower jet made possible as a result. In alternative designs, the inner diameter of the hollow chamber of the nozzle can also be selected to be smaller than 1.5 mm or larger than 4 mm for specific applications.
In a further development of the invention, the length of the hollow chamber of the nozzle is in the range from 4 mm to 8 mm.
In a development of the invention, the wall thickness of the side wall is at least 0.8 mm. This dimensioning measure for the side wall results in a desired sufficient stability of the side wall, which in the shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention primarily functions as a base-stabilizing element and, in contrast to the base, should not or at least not significantly deform under the fluid operating pressures occurring during normal operation. It goes without saying that this wall thickness specification relates to the wall thickness of the side wall outside of the weakened area in cases in which the side wall also has a weakened area or a weakened pattern. In alternative designs, it can be provided for certain applications that the side wall be designed with a wall thickness of less than 0.8 mm.
In a further development of the invention, the jet outlet opening structure contains a plurality of jet outlet openings, and the base has a stiffening web pattern with a wall thickness that is greater than an adjoining area of the base, the stiffening web pattern dividing the base into a plurality of base partial areas, in each of which at least one of the jet outlet openings is arranged, or extends with a stiffening web end up to a respective one of the jet outlet openings.
This measure is advantageous for certain applications in which the floor is provided with a plurality of jet outlet openings. In the first case, the stiffening web pattern subdivides the base into partial areas, in each of which one or more of the jet outlet openings are then located. In the base sub-areas, the base can be deformed accordingly depending on the shower fluid operating pressure in order to bring about the desired change in the opening cross-section of the one or more jet outlet openings there, while the stiffening web pattern contributes to the base being sufficiently rigid and therefore pressure-resistant overall, despite the deformability of its sub-areas to lend. In the other case, a web of the stiffening web pattern extends up to one of the jet exit openings. In this case too, the stiffening web pattern contributes to giving the base, which deforms under the operating pressure of the shower fluid and is provided with a plurality of jet outlet openings, sufficient inherent stability. In alternative designs, the stiffening bar pattern is omitted, particularly in cases in which the base has only a single jet exit opening or, despite several jet exit openings incorporated therein and any associated weakening areas, has sufficient inherent stability even without such a stiffening bar pattern.
Vorzugsweise beinhaltet die Brause eine Mehrzahl von Brausestrahlaustrittsdüsen, die weiter bevorzugt sämtlich durch eine erfindungsgemäße Brausestrahlaustrittsdüse realisiert sindThe shower according to the invention has one or more shower jet outlet nozzles according to the invention. This shower can in particular be a sanitary overhead, hand or side shower of a shower facility or a kitchen shower at a kitchen work station. Alternatively, it can also be a non-sanitary shower, e.g. in chemical plant engineering for the sensitive addition of liquid or gaseous media. Preferably, the shower includes a plurality of shower jet outlet nozzles, which are more preferably all realized by a shower jet outlet nozzle according to the invention

As the exemplary embodiments shown and those explained above make clear, the invention provides a shower jet outlet nozzle that has particular advantages in terms of the shower jet characteristics that can be provided by it at different high shower fluid operating pressures and is preferably used for Providing a relatively fine shower jet is suitable. Due to the arching deformation of the floor, the formation of limescale deposits can be reduced, and any limescale deposits that may have formed can be detached again automatically. The nozzle according to the invention is suitable for use in any sanitary and non-sanitary showers.
