  • EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION
  • With reference to figures 1 to 6, a bracket 1a for connecting profiles and/or panels and/or sheets to a wall or to a substructure, for example for the construction of a roof or a wall of a building has been illustrated.
  • The bracket 1a comprises in detail a first plate 2 and at least a second plate 3 inclined or orthogonal with respect to the first plate 2.
  • The first plate 2 is flat, so that it has a main extension in a plane. Preferably, the first plate 2 has a length between about 80 mm and about 120 mm, a width between about 80 mm and about 120 mm and a thickness between about 1.5 mm and about 5 mm.
  • The bracket 1a can be made of any suitable material, a metallic material, for example steel, aluminum, etc., or even a plastic material.
  • The plates 2 and 3 could be obtained in one piece or in a single piece, for example by molding or other suitable method. Alternatively, the plates 2, 3 could be obtained separately and then welded to each other.
  • Moreover, the first plate 2 delimits at least four first through holes 4a-4d or slots at a distance from the center or centerline of the first plate 2, with two first holes 4a, 4b or slots placed one opposite to the other with respect to the center or centerline of the first plate 2 or of a respective central hole and the other two first holes 4c, 4d or slots placed one opposite to the other with respect to the center or centerline of the first plate 2 or of a respective central hole.
  • Advantageously, the two first holes 4a, 4b or slots are aligned along a first direction and the other two first holes 4c, 4d or slots are aligned along a second direction inclined, for example between about 70° and about 110°, or orthogonal with respect to the first direction.
  • Preferably, the first four holes 4a-4d or slots are arranged at the vertices of the same rhombus (ideally obtainable by joining these vertices), in particular a rhombus with diagonals having size different one with respect to the other, and thus not a square.
  • With reference to this aspect, the rhombus configuration ensures four fixing points that delimit among them an area of dimensions considerably smaller than four fixing points arranged for example along a square or rectangle, if one takes into account the fact that the area of a rhombus is the product of its base and its height divided by two.
  • In this regard, the first two holes 4a, 4b or slots aligned along a first direction are at a distance from each other (considering the distance between their respective centers or central zones), for example between about 60 mm and about 80 mm, while the two other first holes 4c, 4d or slots aligned along a second inclined direction are at a distance from each other (considering the distance between the respective centers or central zones), for example between about 60 mm and about 80 mm.
  • Moreover, the first plate 2 can be square or rectangular, if desired without corners or in any case with incomplete corners, in which case the two directions now indicated can each be parallel to a respective main side of the first plate 2.
  • More specifically, according to the non-limiting embodiment illustrated in the figures, the first plate 2 defines recessed zones RZ at one or each of its four corners.
  • With reference to this aspect, the first plate 2 can have an edge consisting of four main and rectilinear sides, i.e., a first pair of first opposite and parallel sides 2a as well as a second pair of second opposite and parallel sides 2b. In this regard, the edge of the first plate 2, in the passage from each first side 2a to respective ends of the second sides 2b, comprises first a minor section 2c parallel to the second sides 2b and extending from the respective first side 2a towards the inside of the bracket or towards the other first side 1a and then a minor section 2d parallel to the first sides 2a and ending in one end of a respective second side 2b, so that between two adjacent and successive minor sections 2c and 2d is defined a recessed zone RZ.
  • If desired, the first holes 4a-4d or slots have a diameter between about 4 mm and about 8 mm or in any case an extension between about 12 mm2 and about 50 mm2, for example a diameter between about 5 and about 7 mm or width between about 19 mm2 and about 40 mm2.
  • The first plate 2 can then delimit a central through hole 5 or slot, for example with a diameter or extension between 1.5 and 3 times that of the first holes 4a-4d or slots.
  • The central hole or slot 5 can have a diameter between about 8 and about 16 mm or a width between about 50 mm2 and about 200 mm2, for example a diameter between about 11 and about 13 mm or a width between about 95 mm2 and about 130 mm2.
  • If desired, the first holes 4a-4b are at a distance from the central hole or slot 5 between about 30 and about 40 mm.
  • Advantageously, the first plate 2 also defines at least four second through holes 6a-6d or slots with a diameter or extension greater than the first holes 4a-4d or slots. The second holes 6a-6d or slots are each at or proximal to a respective vertex or corner of the first plate 2.
  • If desired, the second holes 6a-6d or slots have a diameter between about 8 mm and about 16 mm or an extension between about 50 mm2 and about 200 mm2, for example a diameter between about 8 and about 10 mm or a width between about 50 mm2 and about 80 mm2.
  • Advantageously, there are two second holes 6a, 6b or slots placed one opposite the other with respect to the center or centerline of the first plate 2 or of a respective central hole 5 and the other two second holes 6c, 6d or slots placed one opposite from the other with respect to the center or centerline of the first plate 2 or of a respective central hole 5.
  • Even more advantageously, two second holes or slots 6a, 6b are aligned along a third direction which is inclined or orthogonal to the fourth direction of alignment of the other two second holes or slots 6c, 6d. Clearly, the third and fourth directions are inclined with respect to the first and second directions.
  • Moreover, if the first plate 2 is square or rectangular, if desired with recessed zones RZ at the corners, pairs of second opposite holes 6a-6d or slots would be aligned along a third or fourth direction inclined with respect to a relative main side of the first plate 2, if desired along a respective diagonal which extends from a first or third vertex or recessed zone RZ of the first plate 2 to a second or fourth opposite vertex, i.e., the vertex or recessed zone RZ of the latter at a distance greater from the first or third vertex.
  • In this regard, the two second holes 6a, 6b or slots aligned along a third direction are at a distance from each other (considering the distance between their respective centers or central zones) between about 50 and about 90 mm, while the other two second holes 6c, 6d or slots aligned along a fourth inclined direction, are at a distance from each other (considering the distance between the respective centers or central zones) between about 50 and about 90 mm.
  • The four second holes 6a-6d, if provided, are arranged at the vertices of the same square or rectangle.
  • If desired, the second holes 6a-6b are at a distance from the central hole or slot 5 (considering the distance between the respective centers or central zones) between about 35 and about 50 mm.
  • According to the non-limiting embodiment illustrated in the figures, four first holes 4a-4d are provided, each arranged at a respective vertex of a rhombus and two aligned along a direction parallel to a main side of the first plate 2 and the other two along a direction parallel to the other main side of the first plate 2, a central hole 5 and four second holes 6a-6d each arranged at a respective vertex of a square and two aligned along an inclined direction with respect to the main sides of the first plate 2 or a diagonal of the latter and the other two aligned along another direction inclined with respect to the main sides of the first plate 2 or another diagonal of the latter.
  • Basically, the first 4a-4d and the second 6a-6d holes or slots are angularly spaced from each other and lie in a circular crown with the center in the central hole or slot 3, so that each second hole 6a-6d is arranged in an area between two respective first adjacent and subsequent holes 4a-4d and vice versa. With reference to such an aspect, when passing on such circular crown between two first adjacent and subsequent holes 4a-4d, one passes into the delimitation zone of a respective second hole 6a-6d and vice versa.
  • With reference now to the at least one second plate 3, it extends from the edge of the first plate 2, for example from a respective straight side of the first plate 2. As indicated, the second plate is inclined, for example between 70° and 110°, or preferably orthogonal with respect to the first plate 2.
  • Advantageously, the second plate 3 is flat, if desired with a square or rectangular configuration.
  • Preferably, the second plate 3 has a length or side of connection to the first plate 2, between about 80 and about 120 mm, a width or side of extension from the first plate 2, between about 40 and about 80 mm, as well as a thickness between about 1.5 and about 5 mm.
  • Moreover, the second plate 3 can delimit two, three, four or more aligned through holes 7, preferably aligned along a direction orthogonal to the plane of extension of the first plate 2. If desired, the holes 7 have a diameter between about 4 and about 8 mm. or extension between about 50 mm2 and about 200 mm2.
  • In addition or as an alternative, the second plate 3 delimits two, three, four or more through slots 8 aligned with each other, preferably aligned along a direction orthogonal to the plane of extension of the first plate 2 and each extending along a direction parallel to the side of the first plate 2 from which the second plate 3 extends.
  • If desired, the second plate 3 delimits two rows of holes 7 aligned along a direction orthogonal to the plane of extension of the first plate 2, while the slots 8 aligned to each other along a direction orthogonal to the plane of extension of the first plate 2 are preferably arranged equidistant, in a zone of the second plate 3 defined between the rows of holes 7.
  • In this case, advantageously, each hole 7 is aligned with a respective slot 8.
  • In addition or as an alternative to what has now been indicated, the second plate 3 delimits at least one through slot 9 extending along a direction orthogonal to the plane of extension of the first plate 2. If desired, the second plate 3 delimits two slots 9 extending along an orthogonal direction to the plane of extension of the first plate 2, with the aligned slots 8 and the two rows of holes 7 arranged, preferably in a manner equidistant from each other, in a zone of the second plate defined between the two slots 9.
  • Preferably, the slots 9 have a length substantially equal to the extension of a row of holes 7 or slots 8.
  • Advantageously, if the first plate 2 has recessed zones RZ as indicated above, the second plate 3 extends from a main side 2a, 2b and, if desired, for the entire length thereof, so that the second plate 3 has a substantially length equal to the respective main side 2a, 2b of the first wall. In this case, the at least one second plate 3 does not affect or in any case does not extend from the minor sections 2c and 2d.
  • If desired, the bracket 1a comprises at least two second plates 3, each extending from a respective main side 2a or 2b of the first plate 2 so that the second plates 3 define a substantially U-shaped configuration with the first plate 2. Clearly, the two second plates 3 extend from sides opposite and non-adjacent as well as, if desired, parallel main sides of the first plate 2.
  • If desired, the bracket 1a is also provided with two, three, four or more fins 10 extending from respective minor sections 2c, 2d of a recessed zone RZ.
  • With reference to this aspect, the fins 10 are flat and have a main lying plane parallel to the main lying plane of the second plate or plates 3.
  • According to the non-limiting embodiment illustrated in the figures, two or four fins 10 are provided, each extending from a respective minor section 2c parallel to the two second plates 3, so that each second plate 3 is essentially between two fins 10.
  • With reference to this aspect, each second plate 3 extends from a respective main side 2a and each of two fins 10 extends from a minor section 2c parallel to said main side 2a and which is at a distance from such main side 2a and connected to it through another minor section 2d.
  • The distance between each second plate 3 and two respective fins 10 on the same flank of the bracket 1a is for example between 1.5 mm and 5 mm.
  • The fins 10 have, for example, a rectangular configuration, with a short side for connection to the first plate 3, approximately equal to the extension of a respective minor section 2c, and long sides preferably equal to the width of the second plates 3, so that the free ends of the fins 10 are substantially in the same plane as the free ends of the second plates 3.
  • The fin or fins 10 are made in one piece with the first plate 2 or made separately and then connected, if desired by welding, to the first plate 2.
  • The fins 10 are elastically yielding, also as a function of the extension of the connection zone to the first plate 2, so that they can undergo small displacements so as to facilitate the insertion, for example, of a profile in the bracket 1a and then guarantee the maintenance in position on it before inserting or screwing the respective screws, bolts or plugs.
  • With reference to the embodiment illustrated in figures 7 to 9, it relates to another bracket 1b according to the present invention similar to the bracket 1a, but with holes in the first plate 2 at a different distance from the center as well as without fins 10 and recessed zones RZ at the corners.
  • The first plate 2 of such bracket 1b thus preferably has a square or rectangular configuration without recessed corners.
  • Two second plates 3 are also provided with a length or side of connection to the first plate 2 shorter than the length of the respective main side 2a from which it extends.
  • Moreover, the second plates 3 do not include through slots 9 extending along a direction orthogonal to the plane of extension of the first plate 2.
  • Preferably, this bracket 1b also comprises two third plates 11 each rising from a respective main side 2b of the first plate 2 not affected by the second plates 3, the third plates 11 being inclined or orthogonal to the first plate 2.
  • One or each third plate 11 can have a length or side of connection to the first plate 2 substantially corresponding to the length of the respective main side 2b from which such third plate 11 extends.
  • Moreover, each of the third plates 11 delimits at least one through hole or slot 12, for example a slot extending along a direction orthogonal to the main plane of extension of the first plate 2.
  • If desired, two slots 12 are provided in the third plates 11 at a distance from each other and in a symmetrical position with respect to the centerline of the third plates 11.
  • Preferably, the free end 11a of the third plates 11 is substantially bent as a L, if desired at 90°, with respect to the main extension of these plates 11.
  • In this case, a slot or through hole 13 can be defined in this free end 11a, for example a slot 13 aligned along the main direction of extension of this free end 11a, i.e. parallel to the side 2b of the first plate from which the respective third plate 11 extends.
  • As regards the bracket 1c of figures 10 and 11, it is similar to the bracket 1a, but with holes in the first plate 2 at a different distance from the center as well as without fins 10 and with second plates 3 having a length or side of connection to the first plate 2 substantially corresponding to the length of the respective main side 2a from which it extends.
  • Preferably, the free end 3a of the second plates 3 is substantially bent as a L, if desired orthogonal, with respect to the main extension of these plates 3.
  • In this case, a slot or a through hole 14 can be defined in this free end 3a, for example a slot 14 aligned along the main direction of extension of this free end 3a, i.e. parallel to the side 2a of the first plate from which the respective second plate 3 extends.
  • Object of the present invention is also a building structure including at least one first wall, one panel and/or one profile, at least one second wall, one panel and/or one profile as well as at least one bracket 1a, 1b or 1c constrained or connected by means of respective screws, plugs or bolts inserted in respective holes or slots on one side to the first wall, panel and/or profile and on the other to the second wall, panel and/or profile so as to constrain them with each other.
  • With reference now to figures 12 and 13, they illustrate the construction phase of a building structure 15a according to the present invention with a first connection bracket 1a between a wall or partition 16 or a superstructure, for example of a roof and a first profile 17, for example a U-shaped section, preferably made of metal.
  • In this case, the bracket 1a, 1b, 1c can be fastened to the wall 16 by means of respective screws or pins or plugs screwed or engaged or inserted in the holes or slots in the first plate 2, for example in the central hole 5 and then screwed or fitted or inserted in the wall 16, while the profile 17 would be inserted, for example with a substantially horizontal arrangement, in the bracket 1a, 1b or 1c, more particularly between the second plates 3 and constrained to the latter by means of respective screws or pins or plugs inserted in holes or slots in the second plates 3 themselves.
  • More particularly, the profile 17 has a main wall 17a from respective ends of which two side walls 17b extend, for example orthogonally, and this profile 17 is inserted so that the respective side walls 17b are parallel to the second plates 3 and with each respective side wall 17b inserted flush with the second plates 3. The side walls 17b can then be fastened to the second plates 3 by inserting screws or pins or plugs in holes or slots 7, 8 or 9 in the second plates 3 and in holes or slots 17c in the profile 17.
  • In this case, if the fins 10 are provided, pairs of fins 10 are at a distance between them practically corresponding to the width of the profile 17, i.e. the distance between the side walls 17b of the same, so that the passage of the profile 17 through the bracket 1a is obtained by pushing the profile 17 so as to elastically widen the fins 10, which after this insertion step will clamp the profile 17 among them.
  • The main wall 17a of the profile 17 is preferably inserted at a distance and not flush with or adjacent to the first plate 2 of the bracket, since the profile is preferably inserted in the bracket 1a so that the internal surface of the walls 17a, 17b of the profile 17 faces towards the first plate 2 of the bracket 1a, 1b, 1c.
  • Clearly, the distance between the main wall of the profile 17 and the first plate 2 is defined by the height or length of the side walls 17b.
  • A panel 18 is also provided, for example a sandwich panel, connected on one side, in any suitable way to the profile 17 or better to the main wall 17a of the same and, on the other, for example at a respective sheet of the panel connected to another bracket 1a, if desired by means of respective screws or pins or plugs inserted in the holes or slots in the first plate 2, for example in one, two, three or four first holes 4a-4b.
  • According to the present invention, "sandwich panel" means a panel with a first main support or insulation layer or block, if desired in mineral wool, polyurethane foam or rigid foam in general or in glass wool, as well as at least one first metal sheet applied or adhered to at least one face, in use, external or, if desired, also internal, of the first main support layer. If desired, a second sheet is also applied or adhered to the other face, in use, external or internal, of the first main support layer.
  • In this case, the building structure 15a can also be provided with a second profile 19 (for example similar to the profile 17) inserted, if desired, with a substantially horizontal arrangement in the second bracket 1a, 1b, 1c between the second plates 3 and constrained to the latter by means of respective screws or pins or plugs inserted in holes or slots in the second plates. For the insertion of the second profile 19 in a bracket 1a, 1b, 1c applies the reasoning above proposed for the first profile 17.
  • As regards figures 14 and 15, they illustrate the construction phase of a building structure 15b similar to that of figures 12 and 13, but with the second profile 19 having a substantially vertical arrangement.
    • Figures 16 and 17 instead illustrate the construction steps of a building structure 15c similar to that of figures 12 and 13, but with the first profile 17 having a substantially vertical arrangement and the second profile 19 having a substantially horizontal arrangement.
    • Figures 18 and 19 then illustrate the construction steps of a building structure 15d similar to that of figures 12 and 13, but with both the profiles 17 and 19 having a substantially vertical arrangement.
  • As it will be possible to ascertain, a bracket 1a, 1b, 1c according to the present invention is substantially universal, as it can be used for different applications, for example for the connection to a wall or partition or to a superstructure of panels, if desired sandwich, to be mounted, for example with vertical or horizontal arrangement.
  • The bracket 1a, 1b or 1c can also be installed on existing panels as well as for assembling profiles, even of different types, to be mounted with the desired arrangements, horizontal, vertical or even inclined with respect to the horizontal and vertical.
  • This bracket then ensures high design flexibility, since it can adapt different components and adjust the respective position on site as desired.
  • Thanks to a bracket 1a, 1b or 1c, a single adjustment of the out of plumb is possible, for example thanks to the slots 12.
  • In this regard, the first holes 4a-4d can be provided in particular for fixing to panels.
  • The second holes 6a-6d, on the other hand, if provided, can be provided in particular for fixing by means of plugs to an existing brickwork.
  • The central hole 5 can be used for example to allow fastening to a substructure.
  • As regards the assembly of a bracket 1a, 1b or 1c for the connection between profiles and a panel installed vertically or horizontally, it could be for example possible to opt for:
    • fixing both to the external sheet metal of the panel, by means of respective screws or pins or plugs inserted in two or four first holes 4a-4d, and to the profiles by means of respective screws or pins or plugs inserted in the central hole 5 and/or in one or more of the second holes 6a-6d, or
    • fixing to the external sheet metal of the panel only, by means of respective screws or pins or plugs inserted in two or four first holes 4a-4d; in this case, part of the profile would be inserted in the bracket and, if desired, constrained to it by means of respective screws or pins or plugs inserted in holes or slots in the second plates or, if provided, in the third plates.
  • Moreover, L, T or C profiles can be installed on a bracket 1a, 1b or 1c, for example made of metal, such as steel, on which it can subsequently be installed, for example, a lining.
  • Moreover, special profiles can also be installed on a bracket 1a, 1b or 1c to install composite or stoneware.
  • It will therefore be understood that a bracket according to the present invention guarantees high flexibility of installation and ensures fixing to a wall and/or to vertical panels and/or to horizontal panels and/or mounting vertical profiles and/or horizontal profiles.
  • Modifications and variants of the invention are possible within the scope of protection defined by the claims.
