Abstract

La présente invention concerne un agencement et un procédé de récupération d'hydroxyde de lithium à partir d'une charge fraîche comprenant une matière première minérale contenant du lithium ou une matière première contenant du carbonate de lithium, ou un mélange de ces matières premières, combinés avec une solution recyclée et/ou à une pâte contenant du lithium, par dépulpage de la charge en présence d'eau et de carbonate de métal alcalin, lixiviation de la pâte obtenue à deux reprises, d'abord à une température élevée, ensuite dans une solution aqueuse contenant de l'hydroxyde de métal alcalino-terreux, séparation de la pâte ainsi obtenue en solides pouvant être éliminés, et à une solution contenant de l'hydroxyde de lithium, le monohydrate d'hydroxyde de lithium pouvant être récupéré à partir de la solution par cristallisation, et enfin séparation de la solution et/ou de la pâte obtenue pendant la cristallisation à partir du processus et recyclage de celle-ci en une ou plusieurs étapes précédentes, comprenant l'étape de dépulpage, et éventuellement la première étape de lixiviation.
