Abstract

ARRANJO E MÉTODO PARA RECUPERAÇÃO DE HIDRÓXIDO DE LÍTIO. A presente invenção refere-se a um arranjo e um método para recuperação de hidróxido de lítio de uma alimentação fresca compreendendo uma matéria-prima mineral contendo lítio ou uma matéria-prima contendo carbonato de lítio, ou uma mistura dessas matérias-primas, combinada com uma solução reciclada e/ou pasta contendo lítio, por polpação da alimentação na presença de água e carbonato de metal alcalino, lixiviar a pasta obtida duas vezes, primeiro em uma temperatura elevada, e em segundo lugar em uma solução aquosa contendo hidróxido de metal alcalino-terroso, separar a pasta assim obtida em sólidos que podem ser descartados, e uma solução contendo hidróxido de lítio, em que o monoidrato de hidróxido de lítio pode ser recuperado da solução por cristalização, e finalmente separar a solução e/ou pasta obtida durante a cristalização do processo e reciclando-a para uma ou mais etapas anteriores, incluindo a etapa de polpação, e opcionalmente a primeira etapa de lixiviação.
