Description
The invention relates to a toilet seat with a shower device and a water safety device that is connected to the shower device.
Toilets with shower facilities are also known as "shower toilets". Shower toilets known from the market have an integrated shower function for the user's anal and/or genital area. For this purpose, a nozzle is arranged at the end of the shower device, through which the water emerges in the direction of the area to be cleaned. The nozzle can usually be extended, either electromechanically or under water pressure. In the latter case, the water pressure is used to feed the nozzle.
The shower facility is controlled by a valve that opens and closes the water supply. The actuation can, for example, manually - ie by turning the valve - or done electromechanically, with the electromechanical control, a pulse is triggered, which causes the valve to open or close. In addition, the flow rate can often be regulated.
Shower toilets with an integral bidet are highly developed toilets that, depending on the equipment, have additional functions such as drying function, heating function of the toilet seat and the like. Such shower toilets have basically proven themselves. However, their complexity makes them very expensive. A move has therefore been made to offering shower facilities as a retrofit part for conventional toilets as an alternative to shower toilets with an integral shower facility. The toilet attachment according to the invention is used here.
The leakage runs directly from the water protection into the toilet bowl. For this purpose, the water safeguard engages in a recess formed in the base plate, which is arranged above the toilet bowl.
The well-known toilet attachment allows for inexpensive retrofitting of conventional toilets. Only a separate water connection is required for the shower function.
However, it was found that the structure of the known toilet seat is not optimal. In particular, the position of the water protection is fixed by the passage of the water protection through the base plate.
Hier greift die Erfindung ein. This is where the invention comes in.
The object of the invention is to optimize the known toilet seat, in particular with regard to its structure.
In order to solve this problem, the toilet attachment mentioned at the outset has, according to the invention, a channel through which the leakage from the water safety device is diverted.
The invention is based on the finding that the relative arrangement of the water safeguard to the shower device has a significant influence on its functionality. Tests have shown that the shortest possible line route without any bends leads to significantly less leakage and at the same time to a higher flow rate.
In the known toilet attachment, the position of the water safeguard is in relation to the shower facility predetermined. The channel according to the invention, on the other hand, permits a much more flexible arrangement of the water safeguard, which is in particular made in such a way that the water safeguard is arranged not far from the shower facility. The leakage is diverted through the channel.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the water connection of the shower device is located in the rear half of the shower device. Consequently, it is considered advantageous to arrange the water protection freely, preferably in the rear area of the toilet seat. The channel according to the invention allows an optimal placement of the water protection. The channel ensures that leaks, splash water or the like are safely discharged into the toilet bowl.
As in the prior art, the water safeguard is connected to the shower facility via a hose-like line. A maximum hose length of 10 cm has been shown to ensure operation with minimal leakage.
The toilet seat preferably has a base plate. Such a construction offers the advantage that all components can be arranged on the base plate. On the one hand, this facilitates maintenance. On the other hand, a (advantageously one-piece) base plate also offers a stable basis for the overall structure of the toilet seat.
The base plate is preferably made of plastic and can be produced, for example, as an injection molded part. It is considered to be particularly advantageous if the channel is formed integrally with the base plate.
In an essential development of the invention, it is proposed that the base plate has an outlet, preferably designed as an opening, into which the channel opens. The leakage advantageously reaches the toilet bowl through the outlet, specifically downwards through the base plate. In addition to the considerable advantage of direct derivation, the outlet also has the advantage that it is not visible to the user.
The base plate will be attached to the toilet bowl. It should be positioned appropriately so that the leakage can get into the toilet bowl. An advantageous embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the outlet is arranged in the front area of the base plate. Such a construction allows only a small part of the base plate to extend over the opening of the toilet bowl, which, in addition to the advantage of better accessibility of the toilet bowl opening for cleaning purposes, also means the advantage of a stable and at the same time compact overall construction.
Preferably the channel has side walls. The side walls can, for example, be formed integrally with the base plate and extend upwards from the base plate. The channel is advantageously at least partially open at the top. Among other things, this facilitates a good Accessibility for inspection and/or cleaning of the toilet seat.
It was already mentioned at the beginning that it can be advantageous to arrange the water protection in the rear area of the toilet seat or its base plate. In this regard, it is considered advantageous if the channel extends from the back to the front. It preferably opens out - as seen in the lateral extension direction of the toilet seat - in the middle third of the toilet seat. In an advantageous construction, the nozzle is arranged substantially centrally. The canal empties nearby.
In order to ensure that the leakage (or splashing water or the like) is discharged, an advantageous embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the channel slopes towards the front. This advantageously ensures that the water flows forward and water does not accumulate, which could also have hygienic disadvantages, among other things.
The toilet seat can be constructed in such a way that it has a fastening device by means of which it can be fixed to the toilet bowl. The fastening device can be designed in such a way that the toilet seat is fastened directly to the toilet ceramic. Alternatively and preferably, a base plate is mounted on the toilet bowl and the toilet seat is mounted on the base plate by the fastening device. It is advantageously provided that the channel bridges the fastening device. So the water can be derived without the outflow being impeded by the fastening device.
In practice it should be ensured that all water loss is contained by the channel. To this end, it is proposed that the water safety device be arranged above the duct, advantageously in such a way that leakage from the water safety device preferably drips directly down into the duct. In particular, it can be provided that the water safeguard preferably partially engages in the channel.
As already explained at the outset, the channel according to the invention offers the possibility of (largely) free positioning of the water safeguard in relation to the shower facility. This free positioning can be used to optimize the efficiency of the overall arrangement (low leakage, increased flow rate) and to secure materials that may not be permitted in the drinking water area at the water inlet of the toilet seat. A further significant advantage of the channel is that the water safety device can be placed in such a way that the housing of the water safety device and/or the lid of the toilet seat does not have to be opened for maintenance, as is the case in the prior art. Rather, it is possible in a further development of the invention to carry out the maintenance from the outside. For this purpose, the toilet seat preferably has a cover in which a maintenance opening is formed, with the water safeguard advantageously being arranged adjacent to the maintenance opening. The maintenance opening can be sealed with a cover plate, a stopper or the like.
A toilet attachment is considered structurally advantageous in which the shower device, the water safety device, the channel and preferably also a valve which is in line connection with the water safety device are arranged on the base plate. All important components are therefore connected to the base plate, which in particular makes the attachment easy to handle (e.g. during assembly).
Figur 1- eine perspektivische Ansicht eines erfindungsgemäßen WC-Aufsatzes in geöffnetem Zustand;

- a schematic representation of a mounting plate for attaching the toilet seat to a toilet bowl.
The
The
The
During operation, the
For this purpose, the
The
The
