Description

This disclosure relates to a sanitary cleaning device.

A sanitary washing device described in Patent Document 1 is known in the prior art. This sanitary washing device has a nozzle unit having a sanitary washing nozzle that can be inserted and removed through a nozzle opening of a base portion attached to the upper surface of the rear side of the toilet body, and a shutter that opens and closes the nozzle opening. The shutter is attached to the shutter base so that it can be opened and closed. The shutter base is disposed in the gap between the front end of the nozzle unit and the nozzle opening of the base portion, and is attached to the base portion. As a result, the shutter is positioned so that it can open and close the nozzle opening from the outside.

On the base on which the sanitary flushing device is mounted, various parts necessary for the functioning of the sanitary flushing device and toilet device, wiring for connecting the parts together, hoses for supplying flushing water, etc. are attached. Because the base is mounted in a narrow space on the rear side of the toilet body, the space for arranging parts on the base is limited. Therefore, in order to be able to accommodate many parts, the base makes effective use of the space by mounting parts on top of other parts.

However, because the nozzle unit has a sanitary washing nozzle inside, which is a movable part that extends and retracts into the toilet bowl, it is difficult to attach other parts to the top surface of the nozzle unit by screwing or the like. Therefore, the inventors have come up with the problem of how to effectively utilize the space on the top surface of the nozzle unit in a sanitary washing device.

The sanitary washing device according to the present disclosure comprises a base portion disposed on the upper surface of the rear side of the toilet body, a nozzle unit including a sanitary washing nozzle attached to the base portion and arranged so as to be movable forward and backward through a nozzle opening, a shutter for opening and closing the nozzle opening, and a shutter base for mounting the shutter so as to be openable and closable, the shutter base covering the upper surface of the nozzle unit thereby forming a nozzle cover for the nozzle unit.

One embodiment of the sanitary washing device of the present disclosure will be described below with reference to the drawings. In the following description, the front-to-rear direction is defined as the front-to-rear direction as seen by a person sitting on the toilet seat of the toilet device. The left-to-right direction is defined as the direction connecting the left and right that intersects with the front-to-rear direction. The up-to-down direction is defined as the vertical direction.

As shown in FIG. 1, the toilet device 1 is composed of a toilet body 10, a toilet seat 11, a toilet lid 12, and a functional part 13. As shown in FIG. 2, the toilet body 10 has a bowl part 10a, a rim part 10b that forms the outer periphery of the bowl part 10a, and a peripheral wall part 10c that forms the outer periphery of the bowl part 10a. The toilet seat 11 is arranged so as to be openable and closable on the upper surface of the rim part 10b. The toilet lid 12 is arranged so as to be openable and closable so as to cover the upper surface of the toilet seat 11. The functional part 13 houses parts that perform various functions of the toilet device 1. The functional part 13 is arranged on the upper surface of the rear side of the toilet body 10 that is continuous with the rim part 10b of the toilet body 10 in a flush state, and the various functional parts housed inside are covered by a cover case 13a. In FIG. 2, the toilet seat 11, the toilet lid 12, and the cover case 13a are omitted.

As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the functional unit 13 has a base unit 130 composed of a front base unit 131 arranged on the front side of the toilet body 10 and a rear base unit 132 arranged on the rear side of the toilet body 10 adjacent to the front base unit 131. The base unit 130 forms a substrate on which multiple functional components housed in the functional unit 13 are placed. Multiple functional components including the sanitary washing device 2 are arranged on the base unit 130.

The sanitary washing device 2 is a device equipped with a nozzle that ejects washing water to wash the buttocks of the human body. The sanitary washing device 2 is positioned in the center on the front base part 131 of the functional part 13. As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the sanitary washing device 2 has the front base part 131, the nozzle unit 3, and the shutter unit 4 including a shutter 41 that opens and closes the nozzle opening 133 provided at the front end part of the front base part 131.

As shown in Figures 5, 6 and 9, the nozzle unit 3 has a pair of sanitary washing nozzles 31a, 31b arranged in parallel, a support frame 32 that supports the sanitary washing nozzles 31a, 31b, and a number of hoses 33a, 33b that supply washing water to the sanitary washing nozzles 31a, 31b, respectively.

The sanitary washing nozzles 31a and 31b have a discharge hole (not shown) at the tip for discharging washing water, and are arranged at an angle downward toward the nozzle opening 133 of the front base part 131. The sanitary washing nozzles 31a and 31b move forward and backward individually with respect to the nozzle opening 133 by a rack and pinion mechanism (not shown). The sanitary washing nozzles 31a and 31b advance forward from the nozzle opening 133 toward the bowl part 10a, pressing the rear side of the shutter 41 to open the shutter 41, and discharging washing water to wash the buttocks. After washing, the sanitary washing nozzles 31a and 31b move backward and release the shutter 41 from its pressed state. The shutter 41, whose pressing state has been released, is configured to automatically rotate and close the nozzle opening 133.

The support frame 32 has a tip support part 321 that is provided to surround the tips of the sanitary washing nozzles 31a and 31b that are arranged in parallel, a bottom support part 322 that is provided to support the bottom side along the length direction of the sanitary washing nozzles 31a and 31b from the tip support part 321, and a partition wall part 323 that is provided on the upper surface of the bottom support part 322 to extend between the sanitary washing nozzles 31a and 31b. The tip support part 321 is provided with a pair of mounting parts 34a and 34b that are provided to protrude on both the left and right sides. The mounting parts 34a and 34b are provided with screw holes 35a and 35b for screwing the nozzle unit 3 to the front base part 131.

As shown in FIG. 9, the support frame 32 has a groove 36 that extends linearly from the top surface of the tip support portion 321 along the entire length of the partition wall portion 323, in the longitudinal direction of the sanitary washing nozzles 31a and 31b.

The support frame 32 does not substantially cover the upper surface of the nozzle unit 3, except for the tips of the sanitary washing nozzles 31a and 31b. In other words, the nozzle unit 3 does not have a nozzle cover that covers the entire upper surface side of the sanitary washing nozzles 31a and 31b. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 9, most of the sanitary washing nozzles 31a and 31b are exposed on the upper surface of the nozzle unit 3. As shown in FIG. 6, a hook 37 is provided protruding from the lower surface of the nozzle unit 3.

The shutter unit 4 is configured to include a shutter 41 that is disposed on the outer surface side of the nozzle opening 133 of the front base portion 131 and opens and closes the nozzle opening 133, and a shutter base 42 to which the shutter 41 is attached so that it can be opened and closed. The shutter 41 and the shutter base 42 may be made of resin.

As shown in Figures 7 and 8, the shutter 41 has a pair of arm portions 411, 411 that protrude from the rear side. The arm portions 411, 411 are connected to each other by a connecting portion 412. The shutter base 42 has a pair of arm attachment pieces 421, 421 that protrude forward in parallel at a predetermined interval. The arm portions 411, 411 of the shutter 41 are disposed between the arm attachment pieces 421, 421 of the shutter base 42, and are rotatably attached to the arm attachment pieces 421, 421 by a rotation shaft 413 that extends along the connecting portion 412. This allows the shutter 41 to be attached to the shutter base 42 so as to be able to open and close.

A spring 414 is attached across one arm portion 411 of the shutter 41 and one arm mounting piece 421 of the shutter base 42. The spring 414 exerts a force on the shutter 41 in a direction that closes the nozzle opening 133. Therefore, the shutter 41 is configured to automatically close the nozzle opening 133 by the force of the spring 414 when the sanitary washing nozzles 31a, 31b retract and the pressing force by the sanitary washing nozzles 31a, 31b is released.

The shutter base 42 extends in a plate shape further rearward from the pair of arm mounting pieces 421, 421 to which the shutter 41 is attached. In detail, the shutter base 42 is formed slightly wider than the left-right width of the nozzle unit 3 at the front side, and slightly narrower than the left-right width of the nozzle unit 3 at the rear side. As shown in Figures 5 and 6, the shutter base 42 extends along the length of the nozzle unit 3 from the shutter 41 to the rear end of the nozzle unit 3, and covers almost the entire upper surface of the nozzle unit 3. The upper surfaces of the sanitary washing nozzles 31a, 31b are covered by the shutter base 42. Therefore, the shutter base 42 is attached to the upper surface of the nozzle unit 3 to form a nozzle cover that covers and protects the upper surface of the nozzle unit 3.

As shown in Figures 5, 6, 7 and 8, the shutter base 42 has a claw portion 422 at its rear end that engages with the rear end of the nozzle unit 3. The claw portion 422 is smoothly curved at an approximately right angle so as to cover the rear end of the nozzle unit 3 from the rear end of the shutter base 42. The tip of the claw portion 422 is integrally formed with a hook portion 422a that is slightly bent forward to hook and fix to the underside of the rear end of the nozzle unit 3, specifically, the underside of the rear end of the support frame 32. The rear end side of the shutter base 42 is engaged with the nozzle unit 3 by hooking the hook portion 422a onto the underside of the rear end of the support frame 32 of the nozzle unit 3. This prevents the rear end side of the shutter base 42 from floating up from the nozzle unit 3.

As shown in FIG. 8, the underside of the shutter base 42 has a rib 423 that extends along the length of the shutter base 42. The rib 423 is formed in a thin plate shape that extends from near the front end of the shutter base 42 to the claw portion 422 at the rear end, and has the function of reinforcing the shutter base 42 over its entire length. Therefore, the shutter base 42 is prevented from bending in the length direction, and can stably protect the upper surface of the nozzle unit 3 over its entire length.

As shown in FIG. 9, the rib 423 is disposed in the center of the width of the shutter base 42, corresponding to the groove 36 of the partition wall 323 of the support frame 32 in the nozzle unit 3. The rib 423 is inserted into the groove 36 when the shutter base 42 is attached so as to cover the top surface of the nozzle unit 3, and regulates the attachment position of the shutter base 42 relative to the nozzle unit 3. This allows the shutter base 42 to be attached in the correct position on the top surface of the nozzle unit 3 without being misaligned.

A pair of mounting parts 424a, 424b are provided on the pair of arm mounting pieces 421, 421 of the shutter base 42 so as to protrude on both the left and right sides. The mounting parts 424a, 424b are provided with screw holes 425a, 425b for screwing the shutter unit 4 to the front base part 131. The positions of the mounting parts 424a, 424b and the screw holes 425a, 425b of the shutter base 42 correspond to the positions of the mounting parts 34a, 34b and the screw holes 35a, 35b provided on the support frame 32 of the nozzle unit 3. Therefore, when the shutter base 42 is attached to the nozzle unit 3 in the appropriate position, the mounting parts 34a, 34b and the mounting parts 424a, 424b overlap each other, and the screw holes 35a, 35b and the screw holes 425a, 425b match each other.

The shutter unit 4 is attached to the nozzle unit 3 by engaging the claw portion 422 of the shutter base 42 with the rear end portion of the nozzle unit 3 and inserting the rib 423 of the shutter base 42 into the groove portion 36 of the nozzle unit 3. In this way, the shutter base 42 covers the upper surface of the nozzle unit 3 and functions as a nozzle cover.

The nozzle unit 3 to which the shutter unit 4 is attached is attached to the front base part 131 as follows. As shown in FIG. 10, a gate-shaped engagement receiving part 134 is provided protruding from the upper surface of the front base part 131. The nozzle unit 3 is engaged with the front base part 131 by inserting the hook 37 protruding from the lower surface into the engagement receiving part 134 of the front base part 131. At this time, as shown in FIG. 4 and FIG. 10, the arm parts 411, 411 of the shutter 41 and the arm attachment pieces 421, 421 of the shutter base 42 are inserted from above into a pair of vertical grooves 135, 135 provided on both outer sides of the nozzle opening 133 of the front base part 131. As a result, the shutter 41 is positioned on the outer surface side of the nozzle opening 133. Then, mounting screws 21a and 21b are inserted into the screw holes 35a, 35b, 425a, and 425b of the overlapping mounting parts 34a, 34b, 424a, and 424b of the nozzle unit 3 and the shutter unit 4, respectively. As shown in Figures 3 and 11, the nozzle unit 3 and the shutter base 42 of the shutter unit 4 are fastened together with the mounting screws 21a and 21b, and are fixed to the front base part 131.

In this manner, in the sanitary washing device 2 mounted on the front base portion 131, the upper surface of the nozzle unit 3 is covered by the shutter base 42 of the shutter unit 4, which is a separate part from the nozzle unit 3. Therefore, the upper surface of the nozzle unit 3 of the sanitary washing device 2, i.e., the upper surface of the shutter base 42, can be effectively used as an attachment space for functional components without directly affecting the nozzle unit 3. In more detail, as shown in Figures 5, 7, and 11, the shutter base 42 can be provided with multiple fixing portions 43a, 43b, 43b, 43d, and 43e for fixing the functional components housed in the functional portion 13.

The fixing portion 43a consists of a pair of clamping pieces integrally protruding from the upper surface of the shutter base 42. As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the fixing portion 43a clamps and fixes the harness 51, which electrically connects the functional components in the functional portion 13 and is arranged to straddle the shutter base 42. In this embodiment, the harness 51 is composed of a wiring bundle made up of multiple wires. The size and number of the fixing portions 43a can be changed as appropriate depending on the type and arrangement direction of the harness 51.

The fixing portion 43b is a claw-shaped protrusion that is integrally provided on the upper surface of the shutter base 42 between the fixing portion 43a and the arm attachment pieces 421, 421. As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the fixing portion 43b clamps and fixes the earth wire 52 that is arranged to straddle the shutter base 42.

The fixed part 43c is a block-shaped mounting part that protrudes integrally from approximately the center of the upper surface of the shutter base 42. As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the fixed part 43c fixes a vacuum breaker 53 that prevents backflow of cleaning water for sanitary cleaning with a mounting screw 53a. The vacuum breaker 53 is connected to the sanitary cleaning nozzles 31a, 31b and a cleaning water supply mechanism (not shown) for the sanitary cleaning nozzles 31a, 31b by hoses 33a, 54.

The fixing portion 43d consists of a pair of clamping pieces that protrude integrally from the upper surface of the shutter base 42 rearward of the fixing portion 43c. As shown in Figs. 3 and 4, the fixing portion 43d clamps the hose 33a connected to the vacuum breaker 53, thereby regulating the position of the hose 33a and guiding the hose 33a rearward from the vacuum breaker 53. The hose 33a bends at a substantially right angle from the upper surface of the shutter base 42 along the claw portion 422 at the rear end, and extends rearward from the nozzle unit 3. However, since the claw portion 422 of the shutter base 42 is formed to be smoothly curved from the upper surface of the shutter base 42, the hose 33a is not bent at an acute angle, and the flow of washing water for sanitary washing is not obstructed.

The fixing portion 43e is a hose clamping portion that protrudes from the front end of the shutter base 42 toward one side. As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the fixing portion 43e clamps the hose 54 connected to the vacuum breaker 53, thereby regulating the position of the hose 54.

In this way, the sanitary washing device 2 has a configuration in which the upper surface of the nozzle unit 3 is covered by the shutter base 42 of the shutter unit 4, which is a separate part from the nozzle unit 3. Therefore, various functional parts, such as the above-mentioned harness 51, earth wire 52, vacuum breaker 53, and multiple fixing parts 43a, 43b, 43c, 43d, and 43e for fixing the hoses 33a and 54, can be provided without directly affecting the nozzle unit 3. This allows the sanitary washing device 2 to effectively use the upper surface of the nozzle unit 3, which is covered by the shutter base 42, as an attachment space for the functional parts.

That is, the sanitary washing device 2 according to this embodiment has the following effects. The sanitary washing device 2 includes a front base part 131, which is a base part 130 arranged on the upper surface of the rear side of the toilet body 10, a nozzle unit 3 including sanitary washing nozzles 31a and 31b attached to the front base part 131 and arranged to be movable forward and backward through a nozzle opening 133 of the front base part 131, a shutter 41 that opens and closes the nozzle opening 133, and a shutter base 42 to which the shutter 41 is attached so as to be openable and closable. The shutter base 42 covers the upper surface of the nozzle unit 3, thereby forming a nozzle cover for the nozzle unit 3. This allows the sanitary washing device 2 to effectively use the upper surface of the nozzle unit 3 covered by the shutter base 42 as an attachment space for functional parts.

In the sanitary washing device 2 according to this embodiment, the nozzle unit 3 and the shutter base 42 are attached to the front base part 131 by fastening them together using the mounting screws 21a and 21b. This allows the sanitary washing device 2 to be fixed to the front base part 131 while maintaining the relative positional relationship between the nozzle unit 3 and the shutter base 42. The nozzle unit 3 and the shutter base 42 can be fixed simultaneously by fixing the mounting screws 21a and 21b, which simplifies the installation process.

In the sanitary washing device 2 according to this embodiment, the shutter base 42 extends over the entire length of the nozzle unit 3. This allows for installation space for functional components to be created over the entire length of the nozzle unit 3, and also protects the top surface of the nozzle unit 3 over its entire length.

In the sanitary washing device 2 according to this embodiment, the rear end of the shutter base 42 has a claw portion 422 that engages with the rear end of the nozzle unit 3. This prevents the rear end of the shutter base 42, which is separated from the mounting screws 21a and 21b, from floating up from the nozzle unit 3. Therefore, the shutter base 42 is stably attached to the upper surface of the nozzle unit 3.

In the sanitary washing device 2 according to this embodiment, the underside of the shutter base 42 has a rib 423 that extends along the length of the shutter base 42. This reinforces the shutter base 42 over its entire length and suppresses bending in the length direction. Therefore, the shutter base 42 can stably protect the upper surface of the nozzle unit 3.

In the sanitary washing device 2 according to this embodiment, the upper surface of the nozzle unit 3 has a groove 36 that extends along the length of the nozzle unit 3, and the attachment position of the shutter base 42 relative to the nozzle unit 3 is regulated by inserting the rib 423 into the groove 36. This allows the shutter base 42 to be attached in the correct position on the upper surface of the nozzle unit 3 without being misaligned.

In the sanitary washing device 2 according to this embodiment, the shutter base 42 has fixing portions 43a, 43b, 43c, 43d, and 43e for parts that are arranged on the front base portion 131. This allows various parts to be fixed to the upper surface of the shutter base 42 of the sanitary washing device 2, and makes effective use of the upper surface of the nozzle unit 3.

In the sanitary washing device 2 according to this embodiment, the components are at least one of the harness 51 electrically connected to the electrical components arranged on the front base portion 131, the hoses 33a and 54 that supply water to the nozzle unit 3, and the vacuum breaker 53 that prevents backflow of the washing water in the hoses 33a and 54. This makes it easy to ensure space for arranging these components on the top surface of the shutter base 42 within the functional portion 13.

This disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and modifications, improvements, etc. are included in this disclosure. For example, the functional parts fixed to the upper surface of the shutter base 42 are not limited to the above-described harness 51, vacuum breaker 53, and hoses 33a and 54, but may be any other functional parts housed in the functional part 13 of the toilet device 1. The nozzle unit 3 is not limited to having a pair of sanitary washing nozzles 31a and 31b, but may also have a single sanitary washing nozzle. The nozzle opening 133 is not limited to being provided in the base part 130, and may be provided in another part of the functional part 13, such as the cover case 13a, for example.

A base portion disposed on an upper surface of the rear side of the toilet body;
A nozzle unit including a sanitary washing nozzle attached to the base portion and capable of advancing and retreating through a nozzle opening;
a shutter for opening and closing the nozzle opening;
A shutter base to which the shutter is attached so as to be openable and closable,
the shutter base constitutes a nozzle cover for the nozzle unit by covering an upper surface of the nozzle unit;
