The first cover can be secured against opening by unauthorized persons by means of a lock device known in various variants in the prior art. The solutions of such lock devices known in the prior art make it possible, for example, when emptying the garbage can, this lock device releases the first lid after reaching a predetermined inclination, so that no manual unlocking of the lock device is necessary when emptying by means of an automatic garbage truck.

Such solutions have proven successful in the prior art for locking the first cover. However, these solutions are not suitable for being transferred to the attachment or locking of the second lid to the first lid, thus enabling the same lock devices to lock the second lid to the first lid.

From the EP 3 640 161 A1 a locking device for a garbage container is known, which has a hinged lid lock by means of which the hinged lid can be fixed in its closed position on the pivoting lid of the garbage container. EP 3 640 161 A1 discloses the preamble of claim 1. From the DE 20 2010 010 101 U1 Another locking device of a similar type is known. The lock has a combination of combination lock and key lock.

Due to the prior art mentioned at the beginning, the present invention is based on the tasks of creating a garbage can of the type mentioned at the beginning, in which the second lid is secured against unauthorized opening, this security being particularly simple and enabling a high number of operating processes In this way, incorrect operation by a user is largely excluded, which is inexpensive and easy to produce and has a long service life.

Such a lock device according to the invention prevents the unauthorized disposal of garbage or household waste, since the second lid is locked to the first lid by means of the lock device and is therefore closed. The second cover can therefore only be pivoted into an open position after unlocking the lock device, so that authorized Users can place appropriate household waste in the trash can's receptacle.

According to the invention, the lock device is designed in such a way that unlocking and subsequent pivoting into the open position is possible using only one hand of a user. This allows the user, for example, to hold a garbage bag in one hand and, without putting it down, unlock the lock device with the other hand and then pivot the second lid into the open position in order to insert the garbage bag into the receptacle with the other hand. This makes particularly simple operation possible, which can also be carried out with just one user's hand. In addition, the lock device according to the invention largely excludes incorrect operation and, in particular, with such a lock device according to the invention it is not necessary for the user to lock the lock device manually after use, for example by operating a key in a closed position.

Thus, by means of such a lock device according to the invention, unauthorized use and thus waste disposal by unauthorized persons is safely avoided, since they cannot open the lock device in order to fill the garbage can through the recess in the first lid.

It can particularly preferably be provided that the second lid has an approximately rectangular shape or has a shape in which the length of the long side corresponds to at least 2.5 times the length of the short side, with the pivoting taking place around one of the long side edges.

Such an elongated or approximately rectangular shape makes it possible, on the one hand, to fill intended household waste, for example in appropriate waste bags, through the recess in the first lid into the garbage can. On the other hand, the elongated and approximately rectangular shape prevents objects exceeding a certain size from being filled into the receptacle of the garbage can.

In addition, it can particularly preferably be provided that the second lid has two lock devices, each of which has a lock device arranged near a side edge of a short side of the second lid.

Due to the elongated, approximately rectangular shape of the recess and also the corresponding second cover covering the recess, it makes sense and is common in practice to provide two lock devices for locking the second cover on the first cover. Typically, one lock device is arranged on or close to a side edge of a short side of the second cover. This effectively prevents, for example, unauthorized persons from lifting the second lid at a corner area using force to remove, for example, a garbage bag to force through this raised area into the interior of the receptacle.

The arrangement of two corresponding lock devices largely prevents this unwanted opening or lifting of the second cover.

Such an arrangement of the housing of the lock device enables easy and safe access by an authorized user, who only has to operate the corresponding lock device from the outside of the housing in order to move the swivel hook, which is held in the closed position against the force of a first spring, from a locking position into an unlocking position Adjust so that the second lid can be lifted and pivoted into an open position.

Such a housing arranged on the outside of the second cover protects essential parts of the lock device, in particular from environmental influences and from sabotage by unauthorized users.

In addition, it can preferably be provided that each lock device has a housing which is arranged on the outside of the second cover and fastened there, which has a swivel hook which is held in the closed position by the force of a first spring and which has a part of its length and its hook-like End reaches through the second lid in the direction of the receiving space of the receptacle and in the closed position with the hook-like end engages behind a pin arranged on the first lid.

The arrangement of such bevels on the hook-like end of the swivel hook and the locking surface enable the swivel hook to remain securely or pivot between the different positions.

Furthermore, it can particularly preferably be provided that each housing has operating elements accessible from the outside by an operator, such as the wheels of a combination lock or the cylinder of a key lock or a combination of wheels and cylinder and a rotary knob for unlocking that is held in the closed position by the force of a second spring the lock device.

Such an arrangement makes it possible for an inexperienced operator to recognize such a lock device according to the invention as such in a particularly simple and intuitive manner and to operate it on the other hand.

Depending on the embodiment, a combination lock, a key lock or a combination of combination lock and key lock can be provided to prevent unauthorized opening of the second cover.

After successfully operating the combination lock or key lock, the operator only needs to turn the rotary knob slightly, i.e. by around a quarter of a turn, in the opening direction. By means of this rotation, the swivel hook is pivoted against the force of a spring into a release position in which the locking surface of the hook-like end of the swivel hook no longer engages and locks the pin arranged on the first cover. In this position, which no longer engages behind the pin, it is possible to lift the second cover and then pivot it into the open position.

By means of such an embodiment according to the invention, a special one is achieved Simple and error-free operation even by an inexperienced operator.

To unlock the lock device and thus open the second cover, the operator simply needs to manually turn the rotary knob from the outside by about a quarter of a turn. As a result of this rotation, a driver arranged within the housing is simultaneously rotated. During the rotation, the driver contacts a lever arranged within the housing and pivots this lever against the force of a third spring until the driver engages with a projection formed on the driver in a recess formed on the lever and after engaging in this recess there locked. The rotation of the rotary knob in the opening direction is blocked after this locking. This means that even an inexperienced operator can only turn the rotary knob until this catch is reached and cannot, for example, improperly turn it beyond this catch.

In this locking position, the rotary knob, which is rotated against a second spring force, is held in this position together with the driver. The lever is pivoted by the driver in the direction of the housing wall and brought closer to it. In this locking position, rotation of the rotary knob together with the driver in the opening direction as well as in the closing direction is blocked. When adjusting in the opening direction, the contour of the driver simultaneously contacts one on the swivel hook formed contact surface to pivot the swivel hook about a further axis to such an extent that the locking surface of the hook-like end of the swivel hook no longer engages behind the pin and thus no longer prevents the second cover from being lifted. As soon as the second cover is lifted in the opening direction, the first slope of the hook-like end of the swivel hook contacts the pin, whereby the swivel hook is pivoted slightly further in the opening direction against the force of the first spring about the further axis in the release direction. As soon as this further pivoted position is reached, the contact surface of the hook-like end of the pivot hook contacts an extension of the lever and pivots the lever further in the direction of the housing around the axis in such a way that the projection of the lever is no longer locked in the recess of the driver. The rotary knob together with the driver is now released and automatically pivots back into the closed position using the force of the second spring. This means that it is not necessary to manually adjust or turn back the rotary knob after opening the second lid. Incorrect operation is largely eliminated through such training.

Finally, it can particularly preferably be provided that when the second cover is closed, the second slope of the swivel hook hits the pin and contacts the pin and thereby pivots the swivel hook in the release direction until the hook-like end of the swivel hook touches the pin by means of the force of the first spring restricted area reaches behind and in this position locks the second cover on the first cover.

With such an arrangement, manual locking such as locking the lock devices is not necessary, since the rotary knob together with the driver is already in the closed position in this position and the swivel hook is only pivoted after hitting the pin until the hook-like end of the swivel hook has passed the pin and is thus pivoted back into the closed position by the force of the first spring. In this closed position, the pin is again locked by the locking surface of the swivel hook and effectively prevents unauthorized use or lifting and pivoting of the second cover relative to the first cover.

Such a recess 4, which can be covered by a second lid 5, ensures in practice that objects cannot be introduced into the garbage can 1 that are not intended to be introduced. Since such a garbage can 1 usually serves to hold household waste, which is usually collected in appropriate household garbage bags or bags or similar containers, the corresponding recess 4, which can be covered by the second lid 5, ensures that only intended household waste is collected can be inserted into the garbage can 1 or its receptacle 2 and disposed of.

However, due to increasing disposal costs for household waste, it may also be necessary to secure the second lid 5, which closes the recess 4 of the first lid 3, against unauthorized opening and thus filling of garbage into the garbage can 1.

According to the invention, the second cover 5 has at least one lock device 6, in the exemplary embodiment two lock devices 6, by means of which the second cover 5 can be locked in the closed position on the first cover 3. This is for The lock device 6 is designed to be particularly easy to operate, even by inexperienced users, in such a way that both the lock device 6 can be unlocked and the second cover 5 can then be pivoted into the open position using only one hand of a user. The user then only has to pivot the second cover 5 back into the position covering the recess 4. The lock devices 6 according to the invention lock automatically in the closed position after reaching this covering closed position and must first be unlocked before being used again.

As a result, manual closing after use by a user is no longer necessary and can therefore not be forgotten, so that it is ensured at all times that the lock device 6 locks the second cover 5 in the position covering the recess 4.

Like in particular Figure 1 As can be seen, the second cover 5 and thus the approximately congruent recess 4 have an approximately rectangular shape. The housing 7 is arranged on the outside of the second cover 5 and fastened there. The hook-like end of the swivel hook 8 has a first slope 17, a second slope 18 and a locking surface 19. The housing 7 of the lock device 6 has operating elements that can be accessed from the outside by an operator. In the exemplary embodiment, the controls are formed by wheels 10 of a combination lock and the cylinder 11 of a key lock. Alternatively and not shown in the figures, only wheels 10 of a combination lock or only a cylinder 11 of a key lock can be provided. In addition, the housing 7 has a rotary knob 12 on its side facing the operator for unlocking the lock device 6. By turning the rotary knob 12, the swivel hook 8 can be pivoted indirectly against the force of a spring into a release position. In this release position, the locking surface 19 of the hook-like end of the swivel hook 8 is arranged in a position in which the locking surface 19 no longer engages behind the pin 9 of the first cover 3 and thus no longer locks the second cover 5 on the first cover 3. According to the invention, the rotary knob 12 is connected to a driver 13 arranged within the housing 7. The driver 13 has a contour with a recess 14. When the rotary knob 12 and thus the driver 13 are rotated, the contour contacts a lever 15 and pivots this lever 15 against the force of a third spring in the direction of the housing 7. The pivoting takes place around an axis 22 in a position approximating the housing 7. The lever 15 has a projection 16 which, when the rotary knob 12 and the driver 13 are rotated further, engages in the recess 14 of the driver 13 and locks the driver 13 there. The rotation of the rotary knob 12 together with the driver 13 takes place against the force of a second spring. During this rotation of the rotary knob 12 together with the driver 13, the driver 13 simultaneously contacts a contact surface formed on the swivel hook 8 and at the same time pivots the swivel hook 8 about a further axis 21 until the locking surface 19 of the hook-like end of the swivel hook 8 touches the pin 9 of the first cover 3 no longer intervenes. This situation is particularly in Figure 7 shown. The second cover 5 can then be lifted manually and pivoted in the opening direction. The first bevel 17 hits the pin 9 and contacts it. In this further pivoted position, the contact surface 20 contacts an extension of the lever 15 and pivots the lever 15 further in the direction of the housing 7 in such a way that the projection 16 of the lever 15 is no longer locked in the recess 14 of the driver 13 and is therefore released. The pivoting takes place around the axis 22 and because the rotary knob 12 together with the driver 13 is rotated against the force of the second spring, it pivots automatically back to the original position, which forms the closed position.

The user can then manually pivot the second cover 5 into the closed position, i.e. into the position that approximates the first cover 3 and covers or covers the recess 4. Shortly before reaching the end position, the second slope 18 of the swivel hook 8 hits the pin 9 and contacts the pin 9 in such a way that the swivel hook 8 is pivoted in the release direction until the hook-like end of the swivel hook 8 can pivot back into the locking position by means of the locking surface 19 to reach behind the pin 9 and to lock the second cover 5 on the first cover 3 in this position. This means that a user only has to move the lid back towards the closed position after using it. It is not necessary for the user to manually bring the lock device 6 back into a closed position or to lock it manually.

In particular, forgetting to lock or further incorrect operation are largely excluded by a lock device 6 according to the invention on a garbage can 1.
