Definitions
- the present invention relates to an electric work vehicle including a battery, a motor drivable on electric power supplied by the battery, and a travel device drivable by the motor.
- Patent Literature 1 discloses a work vehicle (“tractor” in Patent Literature 1) including an engine and a travel device drivable by the engine (“front wheels” and “rear wheels” in Patent Literature 1).
- Patent Literature 1 may be modified by replacing the engine with a battery and a motor. This will allow the work vehicle to travel without discharging exhaust gas.
- Patent Literature 1 may also be modified by including a hydraulic pump drivable by the motor to supply operating oil to a work device.
- Such modification will, however, also involve a transmission mechanism for transmitting the driving force of the motor to the hydraulic pump.
- Including the transmission mechanism can lead to a relatively large machine body. Further, the transmission mechanism can cause a power loss during the transmission.
- the present invention characteristically includes: a work device; a battery; a motor drivable on electric power supplied by the battery; a travel device drivable by the motor; and a hydraulic pump drivable by the motor and configured to supply operating oil to an operating mechanism of the work device, wherein the hydraulic pump is next to the motor.
- the present invention likely provides a small-sized transmission mechanism for transmitting the driving force of the motor to the hydraulic pump as compared to a case of a hydraulic pump being far apart from a motor. This prevents the machine body from being large-sized.
- the hydraulic pump and the motor are relatively close to each other. This allows the loss of power transmitted from the motor to the hydraulic pump to be relatively small.
- the present invention therefore allows production of an electric work vehicle that does not include a large machine body and that causes only a relatively small loss of power transmitted from a motor to a hydraulic pump.
- the present invention may preferably further include: a transmission device positioned backward of the motor and configured to transmit a driving force of the motor to the travel device, wherein the transmission device includes a transmission input shaft as an input shaft, the motor includes a motor output shaft as an output shaft, the hydraulic pump includes a pump input shaft as an input shaft, the transmission input shaft and the motor output shaft are rotatable integrally with each other, the electric work vehicle further includes: a first rotor attached to the motor output shaft and rotatable integrally with the motor output shaft; a second rotor attached to the pump input shaft and rotatable integrally with the pump input shaft; and an endless rotary body windable around the first rotor and the second rotor.
- the transmission device includes a transmission input shaft as an input shaft
- the motor includes a motor output shaft as an output shaft
- the hydraulic pump includes a pump input shaft as an input shaft
- the transmission input shaft and the motor output shaft are rotatable integrally with each other
- the electric work vehicle further includes: a first
- the above configuration eliminates the need to include, inside the transmission device, a mechanism for dividing the power transmitted to the transmission device into power for the travel device and power for the hydraulic pump. This simplifies the structure of the transmission device.
- the present invention may preferably further include: a coupling section configured to couple the transmission input shaft and the motor output shaft to each other in such a manner that the transmission input shaft and the motor output shaft are incapable of rotation relative to each other, wherein the coupling section is switchable between a coupling state, in which the coupling section couples the transmission input shaft and the motor output shaft to each other, and a non-coupling state, in which the coupling section does not couple the transmission input shaft and the motor output shaft to each other, while the coupling section is in the coupling state, the transmission input shaft rotates integrally with the motor output shaft, and while the coupling section is in the non-coupling state, a front end of the transmission input shaft and a back end of the motor output shaft define a gap that allows the endless rotary body having been removed to pass through.
- a coupling section configured to couple the transmission input shaft and the motor output shaft to each other in such a manner that the transmission input shaft and the motor output shaft are incapable of rotation relative to each other
- the coupling section is switchable between
- the present invention may preferably further include: a driver section including a driver's seat on which an operator is able to sit; and a tension adjusting mechanism manually operable to adjust a tension of the endless rotary body, wherein the driver section further includes a wall as a partition that separates the driver's seat from the endless rotary body and the tension adjusting mechanism, the wall has an opening in a vicinity of the tension adjusting mechanism, and the driver section further includes an opening cover member capable of exposing and closing the opening.
- the above configuration prevents noise of rotation of the endless rotary body from easily striking the driver's seat with the opening cover member closing the opening. This likely prevents large noise from being heard by an operator on the driver's seat.
- the above configuration allows an operator to easily reach the tension adjusting mechanism with the opening exposed. This allows an operator to easily adjust the tension of the endless rotary body.
- the present invention may preferably be further arranged such that the motor and the hydraulic pump are supported by a single support frame.
- the above configuration reduces the number of necessary parts as compared to a case of a motor and a hydraulic pump being supported by respective dedicated supports. This likely reduces the production cost.

- a transmission device T for the present invention
- FT front transmission mechanism
- the cover member 12 is swingable about an open/close axis Q (see Fig. 2 ) extending in the left-right direction of the machine body. This allows the cover member 12 to be opened and closed.
- the travel battery 4 supplies electric power to the motor M.
- the motor M is under the travel battery 4.
- the motor M is driven on electric power supplied by the travel battery 4, and transmits its driving force to the transmission device T.
- the transmission device T is backward of the travel battery 4 and behind the motor M.
- the front transmission mechanism FT extends forward from the transmission device T.
- the transmission device T varies the driving force received from the motor M, and transmits the resulting driving force to the left and right rear wheels 11 as well as to the left and right front wheels 10 via the front transmission mechanism FT. This drives the left and right front wheels 10 and the left and right rear wheels 11.
- the tractor A in other words, includes a motor M positioned under the travel battery 4 and drivable on electric power supplied by the travel battery 4.

- the transmission device T transmits part of the driving force received from the motor M to the tiller device 13. This drives the tiller device 13.
- the above configuration allows the tractor A to travel with use of the left and right front wheels 10 and the left and right rear wheels 11 and simultaneously perform tillage work with use of the tiller device 13.
- the travel battery 4 is above the body frame 2.
- the body frame 2 and the travel battery 4 define a ventilation space S in-between.

Abstract
Description
- The present invention relates to an electric work vehicle including a battery, a motor drivable on electric power supplied by the battery, and a travel device drivable by the motor.
-
Patent Literature 1 discloses a work vehicle ("tractor" in Patent Literature 1) including an engine and a travel device drivable by the engine ("front wheels" and "rear wheels" in Patent Literature 1). -
Japanese Unexamined Patent Application Publication, Tokukai, No. 2018-69926 - The work vehicle disclosed in
Patent Literature 1 may be modified by replacing the engine with a battery and a motor. This will allow the work vehicle to travel without discharging exhaust gas. - The work vehicle disclosed in
Patent Literature 1 may also be modified by including a hydraulic pump drivable by the motor to supply operating oil to a work device. - Such modification will, however, also involve a transmission mechanism for transmitting the driving force of the motor to the hydraulic pump. Including the transmission mechanism can lead to a relatively large machine body. Further, the transmission mechanism can cause a power loss during the transmission.
- It is an object of the present invention to provide an electric work vehicle that does not include a large machine body and that causes only a relatively small loss of power transmitted from a motor to a hydraulic pump.
- In addition, with the present invention, the hydraulic pump and the motor are relatively close to each other.
- With the above configuration, setting the coupling section into the non-coupling state allows the endless rotary body to be removed easily for maintenance, making the maintenance work easy.
- In addition, the above configuration allows an operator to easily reach the tension adjusting mechanism with the opening exposed.

Fig. 6 , the motor M includes amotor output shaft 61 as its output shaft. Themotor output shaft 61 is provided with afirst rotor 64 configured to rotate integrally with themotor output shaft 61. - The tractor A, in other words, includes a
first rotor 64 attached to themotor output shaft 61 and configured to rotate integrally with themotor output shaft 61. - The
hydraulic pump 60 includes apump input shaft 62 as its input shaft. Thepump input shaft 62 is provided with asecond rotor 65 configured to rotate integrally with thepump input shaft 62. - The tractor A, in other words, includes a
second rotor 65 attached to thepump input shaft 62 as an input shaft of thehydraulic pump 60 and configured to rotate integrally with thepump input shaft 62. - The tractor A also includes an endless
rotary body 66 wound around thefirst rotor 64 and thesecond rotor 65. - The tractor A, in other words, includes an endless
rotary body 66 windable around thefirst rotor 64 and thesecond rotor 65. - The endless
rotary body 66 for the present embodiment is a belt. The present invention is, however, not limited to such an arrangement. The endlessrotary body 66 is not necessarily a belt, and may be a chain, for example. - The above configuration allows the motor M to transmit its driving force to the
hydraulic pump 60 via themotor output shaft 61, thefirst rotor 64, the endlessrotary body 66, thesecond rotor 65, and thepump input shaft 62. This drives thehydraulic pump 60. - The tractor A, in other words, includes a
hydraulic pump 60 drivable by the motor M to supply operating oil to thetiller device 13. - The transmission device T includes a
transmission input shaft 63 as its input shaft. Thetransmission input shaft 63 is coupled to themotor output shaft 61 with acoupling section 8. This allows thetransmission input shaft 63 to rotate integrally with themotor output shaft 61. - Specifically, as illustrated in
Fig. 7 , themotor output shaft 61 and thetransmission input shaft 63 are each in the shape of a cylinder extending in the front-back direction of the machine body. Thecoupling section 8 includes acoupling shaft 81 and apin 82. - The
coupling shaft 81 extends in the front-back direction of the machine body. Thecoupling shaft 81 has a front end portion inserted in themotor output shaft 61 and in spline engagement therewith. Thecoupling shaft 81 has a back end portion inserted in thetransmission input shaft 63 and in spline engagement therewith. - The
transmission input shaft 63 has apin hole 63a, in which thepin 82 is insertable. Thepin 82 is, when inserted, behind thecoupling shaft 81 to prevent it from sliding backward. - In the state illustrated on the left side of
Fig. 7 , thetransmission input shaft 63 and themotor output shaft 61 are incapable of rotation relative to each other. - The tractor A, in other words, includes a
coupling section 8 configured to couple thetransmission input shaft 63 and themotor output shaft 61 to each other in such a manner that thetransmission input shaft 63 and themotor output shaft 61 are incapable of rotation relative to each other. - As illustrated in
Fig. 7 , thecoupling section 8 is switchable between a coupling state and a non-coupling state. In the coupling state, thecoupling section 8 couples thetransmission input shaft 63 and themotor output shaft 61 to each other. In the non-coupling state, thecoupling section 8 does not couple thetransmission input shaft 63 and themotor output shaft 61 to each other. -
Fig. 7 illustrates on the left side thecoupling section 8 in the coupling state. In this state, thetransmission input shaft 63 and themotor output shaft 61 are incapable of rotation relative to each other as described above. Thetransmission input shaft 63 thus rotates integrally with themotor output shaft 61. - In other words, while the
coupling section 8 is in the coupling state, thetransmission input shaft 63 rotates integrally with themotor output shaft 61. - With the
pin 82 has been pulled out of thepin hole 63a, and thecoupling shaft 81 has been slid backward, thecoupling section 8 is in the state illustrated on the right side ofFig. 7 , that is, in the non-coupling state. - In this state, the
coupling shaft 81 is apart from themotor output shaft 61, with a gap G between the front end of thecoupling shaft 81 and the back end of themotor output shaft 61. - The gap G is between the front end of the
transmission input shaft 63 and the back end of themotor output shaft 61, and is larger than the width of the endlessrotary body 66. This allows the endlessrotary body 66 to pass through the gap G in a case where the endlessrotary body 66 has been removed from thefirst rotor 64 or thesecond rotor 65. - In other words, while the
coupling section 8 is in the non-coupling state, the front end of thetransmission input shaft 63 and the back end of themotor output shaft 61 define a gap G that allows the endlessrotary body 66 to pass therethrough in a case where the endlessrotary body 66 has been removed. - As illustrated in
Fig. 7 , thefirst rotor 64 includes afirst segment 67 and asecond segment 68. Thefirst segment 67 is forward of thesecond segment 68. As illustrated on the left side ofFig. 7 , thesecond segment 68 has a front face in contact with the back face of thefirst segment 67. - The
first segment 67 includes a wind-aroundsection 67a and aflange section 67b. The wind-aroundsection 67a allows the endlessrotary body 66 to be wound therearound. Theflange section 67b protrudes radially at a front end portion of thefirst segment 67. - The
second segment 68 is in the shape of a disk. Thesecond segment 68 is fixed to the back end of the wind-aroundsection 67a with use of a plurality offixation bolts 69. Thesecond segment 68 has an outer diameter equal to that of theflange section 67b. - With this configuration, removing the plurality of
fixation bolts 69 allows thesecond segment 68 to be removed as illustrated on the right side ofFig. 7 . With thesecond segment 68 removed, moving the endlessrotary body 66 backward allows the endlessrotary body 66 to be removed from thefirst rotor 64 easily. - With the
coupling section 8 in the non-coupling state, an operator can remove the endlessrotary body 66 from thefirst rotor 64 and pass the endlessrotary body 66 through the gap G to remove the endlessrotary body 66 from the tractor A easily. - To attach the endless
rotary body 66 to the tractor A, an operator can pass the endlessrotary body 66 through the gap G, wind the endlessrotary body 66 around the wind-aroundsection 67a, and then fix thesecond segment 68 as illustrated on the left side ofFig. 7 . The operator can easily attach the endlessrotary body 66 to the tractor A as such. - As illustrated in
Fig. 8 , the tractor A includes atension adjusting mechanism 9. Thetension adjusting mechanism 9 includes atension ring 91, along linkage member 92, and anadjuster 93. - The
tension ring 91 is in contact with the endlessrotary body 66, and applies tension thereto. Thetension ring 91 is supported by thebody frame 2 with thelinkage member 92 in-between. - The
adjuster 93 is manually operable. Manually operating theadjuster 93 moves thelinkage member 92 in its longitudinal direction. The movement of thelinkage member 92 causes thetension ring 91 to also move in the longitudinal direction of thelinkage member 92. This changes the tension of the endlessrotary body 66. - With this configuration, the
tension adjusting mechanism 9 is manually operable to adjust the tension of the endlessrotary body 66. - The tractor A, in other words, includes a
tension adjusting mechanism 9 manually operable to adjust the tension of the endlessrotary body 66. - As illustrated in
Figs. 1 ,2 , and8 , thedriver section 3 includes awall 34 and anopening cover member 35. - The
wall 34 serves as a partition that separates the driver'sseat 31 from the endlessrotary body 66 and thetension adjusting mechanism 9. Thewall 34 has anopening 34a in the vicinity of thetension adjusting mechanism 9. Theopening 34a is also in the vicinity of the front end of thefloor 33. - The
opening cover member 35 is detachably attached to thewall 34 to close theopening 34a. Detaching theopening cover member 35 exposes theopening 34a. Attaching theopening cover member 35 closes theopening 34a. - Specifically, the
opening cover member 35 is attached to thewall 34 with use of a bolt(s) b1. Removing the bolt b1 allows theopening cover member 35 to be detached. WhileFig. 8 shows only one bolt b1, the number of bolts b1 may be any number of one or more. - The
driver section 3, in other words, includes awall 34 as a partition that separates the driver'sseat 31 from the endlessrotary body 66 and thetension adjusting mechanism 9. Thedriver section 3 also includes anopening cover member 35 capable of exposing and closing theopening 34a. - The present invention is, however, not limited to such an arrangement. The
opening cover member 35 may be attachable to thewall 34 without use of a bolt b1. For instance, the present invention may be arranged such that theopening cover member 35 has a protrusion, whereas thewall 34 has a depression and that fitting the protrusion into the depression causes theopening cover member 35 to be attached to thewall 34. - An operator can remove the
opening cover member 35 to easily reach theadjuster 93 through theopening 34a. - The configuration described above likely provides a small-sized transmission mechanism for transmitting the driving force of the motor M to the
hydraulic pump 60 as compared to a case of ahydraulic pump 60 being far apart from a motor M. This prevents the machine body from being large-sized. - In addition, with the above configuration, the
hydraulic pump 60 and the motor M are relatively close to each other. This allows the loss of power transmitted from the motor M to thehydraulic pump 60 to be relatively small. - The configuration described above allows production of a tractor A that does not include a large machine body and that causes only a relatively small loss of power transmitted from a motor M to a
hydraulic pump 60. - The embodiment described above is a mere example. The present invention is not limited thereto, and may be altered as appropriate.
