Die Dichtung 18 dient bei dem vorliegenden Ausführungsbeispiel dazu, die Motorwelle gegenüber einem nicht dargestellten Prozessluftkanal des als Wäschetrockner ausgebildeten Haushaltsgeräts abzudichten, um so eine Verschleppung von Feuchtigkeit aus dem Trocknungsprozess, nämlich aus einer in dem Prozessluftkanal geführten Prozessluft, in ein Inneres des Haushaltsgeräts zu verhindern.
