Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for machining a burr of an edge of an elongate object, in particular a ski, by means of a device with a guide surface along which the elongate object can be guided lengthwise in a longitudinal direction, a first burr machining element with a first burr machining surface which is oriented at a flat angle or flush with the guide surface, and a second burr machining element with a second burr machining surface which is oriented at a steep angle or at a right angle to the guide surface.
- Common deburring tools consist of a plate-shaped grinding stone, for example, which is used after a grinding process to remove or break off the burr formed by grinding. This process is usually carried out without precise control of the machining process, resulting in rounded and longitudinally uneven burr edges, which can affect reproducibility and accuracy. It has also been found that burr machining in only one direction does not produce the desired end result.
- the object of the invention is to process the burr that arises, for example, during edge grinding, in a reproducible manner in such a way that it increases, for example, the edge sharpness in a controlled manner.
- a further object of the invention is to precisely control the machining sequence of the burr machining process and to enable burr machining in two planes.
- this is achieved in that the elongate object, when moving along the guide surface, first strikes the first burr processing surface and then the second burr processing surface with the burr of its edge, and in that, when passing through the processing device, the first burr processing element first folds the burr in a first direction and then the second burr processing element folds the burr in a second direction.
- the burr to be machined is subjected to machining in succession by the first and second burr machining elements, which are aligned at a steep angle of 90° to one another, whereby the burr is first turned in a first direction by the first burr machining element as it passes through the device according to the invention and then by the second burr machining element in a second direction.
- the burr is primarily machined and not the side edge and the base edge.
- the reproducible machining of the burr achieved in this way results in a precisely defined sharp edge of the elongated object, e.g. a ski, which results in advantageous properties when using the elongated object, for example when making turns with the ski machined in this way.
- the first burr processing element is designed in the form of a plate, and that a cover surface of the plate is the first burr processing surface.
- the plate-shaped design of the burr processing element enables easy manufacture and mounting as well as a design that can withstand high forces and also offers the possibility of quickly replacing the burr processing element.
- the second burr processing element can be designed in the form of a plate, wherein a cover surface of the plate is the second burr processing surface.
- a further embodiment of the invention can consist in that a first pivotable holder is provided for the first burr processing element, via which the first burr processing element can be adjusted in an angular range about a pivot axis parallel to the longitudinal direction, wherein the angular range includes an aligned orientation and an orientation at a flat angle relative to the guide surface.
- the angle at which the first burr processing element or the first burr processing surface is tilted relative to the guide surface can be arbitrarily adjustable within the angle range in order to process the burr to be processed by the first burr processing element in a specific angular orientation of the same in relation to the burr in order to align the latter accordingly in a predetermined direction.
- the adjustable angle range of the first burr processing element can comprise an angle of 0° to 1.5°.
- a second pivotable holder for the second burr processing element can be provided, via which the second burr processing element can be adjusted in an angular range about a pivot axis parallel to the longitudinal direction, wherein the angular range includes a vertical orientation and an orientation at a steep angle relative to the guide surface.
- the second pivotable bracket is used to set an angle at which the second burr processing element can be tilted relative to an orientation at a right angle to the guide surface in order to vary the effect of the second burr processing element on the burr of the edge to be processed accordingly.
- the adjustable angle range of the second burr processing element can preferably comprise an angle of 84° to 90°.
- the first and second pivoting brackets can be adjusted independently of each other in their angle adjustment range.
- a further embodiment of the invention may consist in that the first burr processing element and the second burr processing element are made of different materials such as Ceramic, diamond, various stones, e.g. Arkansas, hardwood and hard metals.
- the first and second burr processing elements are flat on their working surfaces, which only form a linear or point-like contact with the burr surface during the processing process.
- Fig.1 and 2 show a device for machining a burr 11 ( Fig.5 ) of an edge 10 of an elongate object 9, the device being equipped with a guide surface 1 along which the elongate object 9 can be guided lengthwise in a longitudinal direction 4.
- a protruding guide rod 17 is provided which defines a further guide surface.
- the device according to the invention can preferably be used for machining the edge burr of a ski, e.g. an alpine ski, the ski being moved with one of its edges 10 along the guide surface 1 in the longitudinal direction 4 and the burr 11 being machined with a first burr machining element 2 and subsequently with a second burr machining element 5.
- the guide surface 1 is designed by spaced-apart support elements 101, 102, along which the elongated object 9 can slide in order to engage with the first burr processing element 2 and the second burr processing element 5.
- the Guide surface 1 could also be designed differently within the scope of the invention, e.g. without or with more than two support surfaces.
- the first burr processing element 2 has a first burr processing surface 3 which is at a flat angle a1 ( Fig.7 ) or aligned ( Fig.6 ) is oriented to the guide surface 1, wherein the first burr processing element 2 is designed in the form of a substantially flat plate, and a cover surface of the plate is the first burr processing surface 3.

- the adjustable angle range of the first burr processing element 2 comprises an angle a1 in the range from 0° to 1.5°.
- larger angles a1 can also be set if necessary.
- the first burr processing element 2 is followed by a second burr processing element 5 with a second burr processing surface 6 which is oriented at a steep angle or at a right angle to the guide surface 1.
- the elongated object 9 hits the burr 11 of its Edge 10 first onto the first burr processing surface 3 and then onto the second burr processing surface 6.
- the second burr processing element 5 is arranged at a distance from the first burr processing element 2, but can also be directly connected to it.

Description
The invention relates to a method for machining a burr of an edge of an elongate object, in particular a ski, by means of a device with a guide surface along which the elongate object can be guided lengthwise in a longitudinal direction, a first burr machining element with a first burr machining surface which is oriented at a flat angle or flush with the guide surface, and a second burr machining element with a second burr machining surface which is oriented at a steep angle or at a right angle to the guide surface.
Common deburring tools consist of a plate-shaped grinding stone, for example, which is used after a grinding process to remove or break off the burr formed by grinding. This process is usually carried out without precise control of the machining process, resulting in rounded and longitudinally uneven burr edges, which can affect reproducibility and accuracy. It has also been found that burr machining in only one direction does not produce the desired end result.

The object of the invention is to process the burr that arises, for example, during edge grinding, in a reproducible manner in such a way that it increases, for example, the edge sharpness in a controlled manner.
A further object of the invention is to precisely control the machining sequence of the burr machining process and to enable burr machining in two planes.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the elongate object, when moving along the guide surface, first strikes the first burr processing surface and then the second burr processing surface with the burr of its edge, and in that, when passing through the processing device, the first burr processing element first folds the burr in a first direction and then the second burr processing element folds the burr in a second direction.
In this way, the burr to be machined is subjected to machining in succession by the first and second burr machining elements, which are aligned at a steep angle of 90° to one another, whereby the burr is first turned in a first direction by the first burr machining element as it passes through the device according to the invention and then by the second burr machining element in a second direction. The burr is primarily machined and not the side edge and the base edge. The reproducible machining of the burr achieved in this way results in a precisely defined sharp edge of the elongated object, e.g. a ski, which results in advantageous properties when using the elongated object, for example when making turns with the ski machined in this way.
In a further embodiment of the invention, it can be provided that the first burr processing element is designed in the form of a plate, and that a cover surface of the plate is the first burr processing surface.
The plate-shaped design of the burr processing element enables easy manufacture and mounting as well as a design that can withstand high forces and also offers the possibility of quickly replacing the burr processing element.
In a comparable manner, the second burr processing element can be designed in the form of a plate, wherein a cover surface of the plate is the second burr processing surface.
A further embodiment of the invention can consist in that a first pivotable holder is provided for the first burr processing element, via which the first burr processing element can be adjusted in an angular range about a pivot axis parallel to the longitudinal direction, wherein the angular range includes an aligned orientation and an orientation at a flat angle relative to the guide surface.
In this way, the angle at which the first burr processing element or the first burr processing surface is tilted relative to the guide surface can be arbitrarily adjustable within the angle range in order to process the burr to be processed by the first burr processing element in a specific angular orientation of the same in relation to the burr in order to align the latter accordingly in a predetermined direction.
Preferably, the adjustable angle range of the first burr processing element can comprise an angle of 0° to 1.5°.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, a second pivotable holder for the second burr processing element can be provided, via which the second burr processing element can be adjusted in an angular range about a pivot axis parallel to the longitudinal direction, wherein the angular range includes a vertical orientation and an orientation at a steep angle relative to the guide surface.
The second pivotable bracket is used to set an angle at which the second burr processing element can be tilted relative to an orientation at a right angle to the guide surface in order to vary the effect of the second burr processing element on the burr of the edge to be processed accordingly.
The adjustable angle range of the second burr processing element can preferably comprise an angle of 84° to 90°.
The first and second pivoting brackets can be adjusted independently of each other in their angle adjustment range.
A further embodiment of the invention may consist in that the first burr processing element and the second burr processing element are made of different materials such as Ceramic, diamond, various stones, e.g. Arkansas, hardwood and hard metals.
-profile.Other suitable materials can also be used. However, filing surfaces or profiles are not suitable.
The first and second burr processing elements are flat on their working surfaces, which only form a linear or point-like contact with the burr surface during the processing process.
