Description

Domaine technique de l'inventionTechnical field of the invention

The invention relates to a normally closed type electrical switch comprising an elastically deformable blade which causes a change of state of the electrical switch in response to the application of an actuating force on the elastically deformable blade and in which, in In the absence of application of an actuation force, the electrical switch is maintained in a closed state.

Arrière-plan techniqueTechnical background

The document " US 9,218,926 B1 "describes an electrical switch of the normally closed type, comprising a casing, which comprises an upper part and a complementary lower part, which carries a fixed internal contact track, an internal contact blade, which is carried by the upper part and which is elastically deformable to occupy a high rest position to establish an electrical switching path, an unstable low position in which the electrical switching path is interrupted and an actuator for controlling the deformations of the internal blade, which is pivotally mounted around a horizontal axis, between the rest position and an angular actuation position, in which the internal contact blade is in its first position.

In such a type of electrical switch, in the absence of a force acting on the actuator, the electrical switch is held elastically under load in its closed state.

After the integration of such a type of electrical switch in an electronic or electromechanical device, its conventional use consists in interrupting the electrical switching path by acting on its actuator before the first use or functional start-up of the device. The device can then be stored for a period that can be very long, without energy consumption.

During the first use causing at least a first change of state of the electrical switch, the latter returns at least temporarily to its closed state in which the electrical switching path is established.

Such a design can be inconvenient, in particular when the electric switch is assembled on an electronic card comprising a battery or electric cell. Indeed, before being integrated into the electronic device, the electric switch is not activated and it is in its closed state, which causes consumption of the energy accumulated in the battery or electric cell of the device.

The invention aims to provide a solution to this problem by proposing an electrical switch comprising means for locking in the open position, that is to say in a state in which the electrical switching path is interrupted.

The invention also aims to provide such an electric switch which is of compact design, and which makes it possible to absorb an overtravel of actuation.

The invention also aims to propose a switch which can be unlocked automatically when it is carried by a sub-assembly which is put in place and assembled in an electronic device.

We represented at figures 1 to 5 an exemplary embodiment of an electrical switch 100 which here has a general design symmetry with respect to the median vertical and longitudinal plane PVM indicated in picture 3 .

The electrical switch 100 comprises a housing 10 in two upper 12 and lower 14 parts which houses a double internal contact blade 16 and an actuator 18.

The upper part 12 is a molded part made of insulating plastic material of generally rectangular parallelepipedic shape and which defines an internal housing 20 delimited by a horizontal upper wall 22, two vertical and longitudinal side walls 24, and by a vertical and transverse front wall 26.

La face transversale arrière 28 est ouverte, de même que la face inférieure horizontale 30.The rear transverse face 28 is open, as is the horizontal underside 30.

The upper wall 22 comprises a through central opening 32 which is delimited by an inclined front transverse edge 34, by an inclined rear transverse edge 36 and by two longitudinal vertical faces 38 of longitudinal orientation.

The internal face 23 of the upper wall 22 here comprises two vertical studs 40 for fixing by hot crimping the internal contact blade 16, which are arranged longitudinally close to the open rear transverse face 28.

Substantially at mid-length, each side wall 24 includes a concave semi-cylindrical housing 44 which opens vertically downwards.

The locking lugs 46 are slightly offset longitudinally forward relative to the central axis A of the housings 44 (see figure 10 ).

The lower part 14 of the box 10 is here a piece of conductive metal sheet which is produced by cutting and bending.

The lower part comprises a horizontal rectangular lower plate 50 which is extended laterally by two vertical and longitudinal side cheeks 52.

The dimensions of the lower part 14 are complementary to those of the upper part so that, in the assembled position, the side flanges 52 each extend along an outer face 25 of a side wall 24, and substantially on the full height of the top 12.

At its rear longitudinal end 54, each side flange is extended by an electrical connection lug 56 which extends outwards in a vertical and transverse plane.

Pour la fermeture du boîtier 10, la plaque inférieure horizontale 50 comporte trois trous 60 agencés en triangle dont chacun est traversé verticalement par un plot vertical 42 de la partie supérieure 12.For closing the case 10, the horizontal lower plate 50 comprises three holes 60 arranged in a triangle, each of which is crossed vertically by a vertical stud 42 of the upper part 12.

After assembly and fixing by hot crimping, the periphery of the upper face 51 of the lower plate 50 bears against the facing portions of the lower face 30 of the lower part .

The horizontal lower plate 50 comprises two branches 62 of elastic return.

Chaque branche de rappel 62 est réalisée par découpe et pliage et son tronçon actif d'extrémité libre avant 64 est repliée vers l'intérieur du logement interne de la partie supérieure 12 du boîtier 10.Each return branch 62 is produced by cutting and bending and its active front free end section 64 is folded inwardly of the internal housing of the upper part 12 of the casing 10.

By design, each return branch 62 is able to deform elastically, in particular downwards. To figures 1 to 10 , the elastic return branches 62 are shown in their elastically unconstrained state.

The internal contact blade 16 is here a double blade, of symmetrical design with respect to the plane PVM, which is produced in a conductive metal sheet by cutting and bending.

The two internal electrical contact blades themselves are interconnected by a horizontal crosspiece 66 for fixing.

For fixing each internal electrical contact blade, the crosspiece 66 comprises two holes 68 spaced apart transversely and each of which is crossed vertically by a vertical stud 40 of the upper part 12.

Each internal contact blade 16 comprises, successively and longitudinally from rear to front, a rear fixing section 70, an intermediate actuation section 72 and a front contact section 74.

The rear fixing section 70, to which the crosspiece 66 is attached for its fixing under the lower face 23 of the upper wall 22 of the upper part 12 of the casing 10, here extends horizontally.

Each rear attachment section 70 is here extended longitudinally towards the rear by an external electrical connection section 76 which is here shaped as a tapping pin which projects longitudinally beyond the open rear transverse face 28.

At rest, that is to say without action of the actuator 18 on the internal contact blades 16, each intermediate actuation section 72 extends horizontally in the extension of the sections 70 and 76, inside the housing 20, substantially halfway up (See figure 9 and 10 ).

Chaque tronçon d'actionnement 72 est délimité par une face inférieure plane 73.Each actuation section 72 is delimited by a flat lower face 73.

From its front longitudinal end, each intermediate actuation section 72 is extended forward by a front contact section 74 which is inclined vertically downwards and which ends in an angled end 78 whose convexity is oriented towards the internal upper face 51 of the horizontal lower plate 50.

At rest, that is to say without action of the actuator 18 on the internal contact blades 16, each front contact section 74 is shaped in such a way that its bent free end 78 is in elastic contact support towards the bottom against a portion facing the upper face 51 of the lower plate 50. This portion facing the upper face 51 of the lower plate 50 constitutes a fixed lower electrical contact track to establish a electrical switching path between the lower plate 50 and its electrical connection lugs 56 on the one hand, and the connecting sections 76 on the other hand.

This "at rest" state of the internal contact blades 16, and therefore of the electric switch 100, corresponds to the normally closed state NC of the switch.

Its actuation, and therefore its change of state, aims to interrupt the established path of electrical switching by lifting the bent free ends 78 vertically upwards so that they are no longer in contact with the facing portions. - screws of the upper face 51 of the lower plate 50.

This upward movement is obtained by elastic deformation of the internal contact blades 16 by acting on the intermediate sections 72 for actuation.

Un tel actionnement et changement d'état vers un état ouvert est réalisé au moyen de l'actionneur 18.Such actuation and change of state to an open state is achieved by means of actuator 18.

The internal shaft 80 and its drive arm 82 are here produced in a single piece by molding in plastic material.

For its rotational mounting, pivoting in both directions, relative to the housing 10, the internal transverse shaft comprises, at each of its two opposite transverse ends, a cylindrical journal 84 which is received in rotation, almost without play, in a complementary housing 44 of the upper part 12 inside which it is held imprisoned by the lower plate 50.

L'arbre d'actionnement est ainsi monté à rotation autour de l'axe A.The actuating shaft is thus mounted for rotation around the axis A.

In its central portion, the internal shaft 80 is extended by a rectilinear arm for driving in rotation.

On a non-limiting basis, when the switch is in its resting state normally illustrated in figures 1 to 10 , drive arm 82 extends vertically through central lumen 32 above top wall 22.

Le bras d'entraînement 82 est légèrement décalé longitudinalement vers l'arrière par rapport au plan vertical passant par l'axe de rotation A.The drive arm 82 is slightly offset longitudinally rearward relative to the vertical plane passing through the axis of rotation A.

La largeur transversale du bras d'entraînement 82 est légèrement inférieure à la largeur transversale de la lumière centrale 32.The transverse width of drive arm 82 is slightly less than the transverse width of central lumen 32.

The maximum angular positions that the actuator 18 can reach in both directions correspond to the coming into abutment of the drive arm 82 with the inclined front transverse edge 34 or with the inclined rear transverse edge 36.

As can be seen at the figure 10 , in the state of rest illustrated in figures 1 to 10 , the upper end of the cylindrical profile of the locking lug 86 is slightly offset longitudinally forwards and extends opposite the associated locking notch 46.

The assembly consisting of a locking lug 46 and a locking notch 86 constitutes means for locking the drive arm 82, and therefore the double internal contact blade 16, in its second stable high position in which the electrical switching is interrupted.

In order to be able to pivot the drive arm 82 clockwise considering the figure 10 , one must apply to the drive arm 82 a force in the same direction of a value sufficient to, by elastic deformation of the upper partition, retract the locking notch 46 and cause the locking lug 86 to pass angularly from the other side.

Between each end pin 84 and the central drive arm 82, the internal shaft 80 comprises a cam 88 for controlling the deformations of the internal contact blades 16. In section, the cam profile of each control cam 88 is generally triangular and has a flat horizontal upper section 92 which ends in a front elbow 94 and a rear elbow 96 for control.

Each bend 94, 96 is in the form of a convex cylinder arc.

Each cam 88 is arranged transversely in line with a return leg 62 and each inclined plane section 98 of the cam profile extends with play opposite an active front free end section 64.

Dans la position de repos, la face supérieure du tronçon supérieur horizontal plan 92 s'étend ici avec un léger jeu vertical par rapport à la face inférieure 73 du tronçon d'actionnement associé 72.In the rest position, the upper face of the flat horizontal upper section 92 extends here with a slight vertical play by relative to the lower face 73 of the associated actuation section 72.

On décrira maintenant le fonctionnement du commutateur électrique 100.The operation of the electrical switch 100 will now be described.

To figures 1 to 10 , the switch 100 is shown in a rest position in which the electrical switching path is established by each of the two front contact sections 74 of the internal double contact blade 16, each internal blade 16 being in a low position with respect to bottom plate 50.

It is a state (or position) called normally closed NC of the electrical switch.

From this normally closed state NC, and to cause a change of state of the electrical switch, it is necessary to apply to the drive arm 82 an actuating force to make it pivot in the counterclockwise direction, considering the figure 9 and 10 and thus cause the inner actuating shaft 80 to pivot in the same direction.

This pivoting causes the cooperation of the rear control elbow 96 with the associated actuation section 72 of the internal blade 16 and a lifting of the front contact section 74.

This results in a lifting vertically upwards of the free end 78 which is no longer in contact with the portions facing the upper face 51 of the lower plate 50. Each internal blade 16 is then in a first high position with respect to the lower plate 50.

The opening of the electrical contact 51-78 is almost immediate, but the angular actuation stroke by pivoting of the actuation arm 82 can be continued. The electrical switch 100 thus has a capacity to absorb a large actuation overtravel.

This is a first open unstable position NOi of the electrical switch in which the electrical switching path is interrupted.

Cette position ou état NOi est instable car, dès que l'on cesse d'appliquer un effort d'actionnement sur le bras d'actionnement 82, l'actionneur 18 est rappelé élastiquement vers sa position angulaire centrale de repos par l'action des branches de rappel 62.This position or state NOi is unstable because, as soon as one ceases to apply an actuating force to the actuating arm 82, the actuator 18 is elastically returned to its central angular position of rest by the action of the recall branches 62.

En effet, outre le changement d'état NC->NOi du commutateur électrique, la course angulaire d'actionnement par pivotement du bras d'actionnement 82 a provoqué simultanément la déformation élastique de chacune des branches de rappel 62, du fait de l'effort qui est appliqué à chaque branche de rappel 62 par le tronçon plan incliné 98 de la came associée 88.Indeed, in addition to the change of state NC->NOi of the electrical switch, the angular actuation stroke by pivoting of the actuation arm 82 simultaneously caused the elastic deformation of each of the return branches 62, due to the force which is applied to each return branch 62 by the inclined plane section 98 of the associated cam 88.

When the actuating force applied to the actuating arm 82 is released, the return branches 62 exert their return force on the internal shaft 80 which returns to its central angular position of rest.

To the return force exerted by the return branches 62, is added an additional return force which is here exerted by the two front contact sections 74 which cooperate with the rear elbows 96.

From the normally closed position NC, and to cause temporary locking of the electric switch in a stable open state NOs, it is necessary to apply to the drive arm 82 an actuation force to make it pivot clockwise, considering the figure 9 and 10 and thus cause the inner actuating shaft 80 to pivot in the same clockwise direction.

This pivoting causes the cooperation of the front control elbow 94 with the associated actuating section 72 and a lifting of the front contact section 74 of each internal blade 16.

This results in a lifting of the free end 78 vertically upwards which is no longer in contact with the portions facing the upper face 51 of the lower plate 50.

Each internal blade 16 is then in a second high position relative to the lower plate 50.

The opening of the electrical contact 51-78 is almost immediate. It is a second stable open position NOs of the electrical switch in which the electrical switching path is interrupted.

Cette position ou état NOs est stable car, lorsque l'on cesse d'appliquer un effort d'actionnement au bras d'actionnement 82, ce dernier reste verrouillé angulairement par les moyens de verrouillage 46-86.This position or state NOs is stable because, when an actuating force is ceased to be applied to the actuating arm 82, the latter remains angularly locked by the locking means 46-86.

Indeed, by pivoting clockwise, the drive arm 82 has caused an elastic deformation of the upper partition to retract the locking notch 46 and cause the locking lug 86 to pass angularly to the other side.

When the actuating force applied to the actuating arm 82 is released, the latter remains locked and the electrical switch remains in its stable open state.

To unlock the electrical switch 100, it is necessary to apply to the drive arm 82 an unlocking force - to make it pivot clockwise - of a value sufficient to (by elastic deformation of the upper partition) retract the notch lock 46 and pass the locking lug 86 angularly on the other side of the locking notch 46.

The drive shaft 80 is then again in its central angular position and the electrical switching path is restored.

The double design of the internal blade 16 of contact makes it possible, for certain applications, to have contact redundancy which is useful if, for example, the electrical switch is not sealed and that an impurity is introduced between the free end 78 and the upper face 51.

The second embodiment illustrated in figures 12 to 23 compared with the first embodiment.

The internal contact blade 16 is simple, that is to say it comprises only one part with an intermediate actuation section 72 and a front contact section 74, 78.

The other section 72' of symmetrical design and similar to that of the actuation section 72, is not extended by a contact section and therefore has no function of establishing or interrupting an electrical contact.

On the other hand, it cooperates via its horizontal lower face 73' with the flat horizontal upper section 92' facing the associated control cam 88' to reliably determine the central angular position of rest of the drive shaft. actuation 80. The section 72' thus exerts a function of stabilizing the actuation shaft 80 in the rest position.

Its complementary elastic return effect can also be increased, for example by giving it greater rigidity than that of the actuating section 72, or by bending or initially bending the section 72' so that it exerts a prestress on the flat horizontal upper section 92' facing the associated control cam 88'.

With regard to temporary locking means in the stable normally open position NOs (See in particular the figure 18 and 21 ), the locking notch 46 is a window which is formed in an elastically deformable tab 99 which is made centrally in the lower plate 50, transversely between the two elastic return branches 62.

L'ergot complémentaire de verrouillage 86 est formé à la partie inférieure de l'actionneur 18.The complementary locking lug 86 is formed at the bottom of the actuator 18.

More specifically, in its central part in line with the actuating arm 82, the drive shaft 80 includes a beak-shaped lug which is adapted to be received in the window 46 when the electrical switch is locked in its stable state. open NOs (See figure 21 ).

The rear profile of the locking pin 86 is shaped to allow unlocking.

Instead of the electrical connection lugs, the lower plate 50 comprises two tapping pins 56 which protrude longitudinally beyond the open rear transverse face 28, like the electrical connection sections 76 of the internal contact blade.

The operation of the electrical switch 100 according to this second example embodiment is identical to that which has been described previously with reference to the first embodiment and which is illustrated in detail in figures 16 to 21 .

As can be seen at figure 22 and 23 an electrical switch 100 according to the invention can be mounted on a face 104 of an electronic card comprising in particular a printed circuit board 102 which is delimited by an edge 106 to form an assembly 200.

Such mounting and positioning of the electrical switch 100 can, if the assembly 200 is placed in an electronic device (not shown) in the direction indicated by the arrow F of the figure 23 , enable automatic unlocking of the electrical switch 100 by the actuation arm 82 coming into contact with a part facing the electronic device, or belonging to automated assembly means.
