Claims (12)

  1. Electric switch of the type comprising a contact-holder (30, 34) support (10, 12), which delimits a receptacle (22), in the substantially flat base (26) of which there are disposed at least two fixed electric contacts (30, 34), and which receives a triggering unit (36) with a generally convex shape, which is deformable resiliently from a position of rest, according to a direction (V) which is substantially perpendicular to the base (26) of the receptacle (22), in order to establish an electrical connection between the two fixed contacts (30, 34), and of the type comprising an activation thruster (44), which is fitted such as to slide relative to the support (10, 12), in a direction (H) parallel to the base (26) of the receptacle (22), in order to act on the triggering unit (36), by means of mechanical means (48) which transform the activation force exerted on the thruster (44) into a perpendicular triggering force applied to the triggering unit (36), from a position of rest towards which it is returned resiliently, characterised in that it comprises an activation lever (48), which is fitted in a manner which is articulated relative to the support (10, 12), around an axis (X-X) which is parallel to the base (26) of the receptacle (22), a support point of which co-operates with the triggering unit (36, 40), of which the point of application of the power by the thruster (44) co-operates with a portion (90, 94) of the thruster (44) in the form of an inclined ramp (94), and in that the lever (48) is returned resiliently towards its position of rest.
  2. Electric switch according to claim 1, characterised in that the axis of pivoting (X-X) of the lever (48) is perpendicular to the direction (H) of sliding of the thruster (44).
  3. Electric switch according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that the lever is produced in the form of a resiliently deformable metal strip (48), one end (64) of which is fixed relative to the support (10, 12), and which extends above the triggering unit (36, 40).
  4. Electric switch according to claim 3, taken in combination with claim 2, characterised in that the strip comprises a securing section (64), which is extended by a section (66) in the form of a loop, a portion (76) of which co-operates with the ramp (94) of the thruster (44), and a portion (78) of which co-operates with the central part (40) opposite, of the triggering unit (36).
  5. Electric switch according to claim 4, characterised in that the securing section (64) has a profile in the shape of a "U", a straight branch (68) of which is secured to the support (10, 12), and the other straight branch (74) of which extends substantially parallel to the base (26) of the receptacle (22), and is extended by the active section in the form of a loop (66), which is disposed opposite the curved branch (70) of the securing section (64), and above the triggering unit (35, 40).
  6. Electric switch according to claim 4 or claim 5, characterised in that the strip (48) is integral with a plate (46) which covers the upper surface (20) of the contact-holder support (10, 12) in which the receptacle (22) is provided, and which contains an aperture (56) provided opposite the central part (40) of the triggering unit (36), for passage of the active section (66, 78) of the strip (48).
  7. Electric switch according to claim 6, taken in combination with claim 5, characterised in that the straight securing branch (68) of the strip belongs to the body of the plate (46), and is extended above the latter by the curved branch (70) of the securing section in the shape of a "U".
  8. Electric switch according to claim 6 or claim 7, characterised in that the thruster (44) is fitted such as to slide on the upper surface (60) of the plate (46).
  9. Electric switch according to claim 8, characterised in that the upper surface (60) of the plate (46) comprises lugs (62) for guiding in a sliding manner of the thruster (44), and stop means (58) which limit the displacements of the thruster (44) relative to the plate (46).
  10. Electric switch according to claim 9, characterised in that the stop means comprise a stop lug (58), which is received in a sliding manner in a longitudinal slot (96) formed in the lower surface (82) of the thruster (44) which is supported on the plate (46, 60), and can co-operate with the opposite ends (98, 100) of the slot (96), in order to determine the position of rest of the thruster (44) and the maximum path of activation of the thruster.
  11. Electric switch according to any one of claims 8 to 10, characterised in that it comprises a cover (102), a full upper wall (104) of which extends above the thruster (44), parallel to the base (26) of the receptacle (22), and the lateral surfaces (106, 108) of which extend vertically along the lateral edges (50, 52, 54) of the plate (46), and along the lateral surfaces (14, 16) of the contact-holder support (10, 12).
  12. Electric switch according to claim 11, characterised in that the cover (102) is made of sheet metal which is cut and folded, and in that some of its lateral surfaces (108) contain pairs of transverse lugs (118, 116), between which the body (12) of the contact-holder support (10) and the plate (46) are immobilised vertically relative to one another.
