- Waste collection container (2) comprising:- a vessel (4),- at least one separating wall defining waste storage spaces in the vessel (4), and- a cover (6) comprising at least one first and one second portion (8, 10) which are movable relative to each other, each of the two portions (8, 10) comprising at least one side (12, 14) adjacent to the other portion (8, 10), the cover (6) comprising a sealing strip (16) which is secured to at least one of the two portions (8, 10) and at least partly covering the two sides (12, 14), each of the portions (8, 10) of the cover (6) being arranged to seal a waste storage space, the first and second portions (8, 10) of the cover (6) being mounted so as to be rotatable at the separating wall, characterized in that the sealing strip (16) comprises a portion extending above a space provided between the two portions (8, 10) of the cover (6), this portion being secured to the separating wall.
