Description

The invention relates to bins for collecting waste, in particular bins intended to facilitate their sorting.

To facilitate waste sorting, waste collection bins are generally used which include a separation wall which demarcates two distinct spaces. Each space is therefore dedicated to the collection of a type of waste.

Le document WO97/38923 divulgue un bac pour la collecte de déchets selon le préambule de la revendication 1.We already know the state of the art, in particular according to the document FR 3 045 020 , a bin for collecting waste comprising a tank provided with a separation wall delimiting a first and a second separate waste storage space, respectively provided with a first and a second cover capable of moving from one position open to a closed position by rotation around a common axis of rotation located directly above the separation wall. The document WO97/38923 discloses a bin for collecting waste according to the preamble of claim 1.

However, since the covers are made of plastic, and are lighter than a single cover covering the entire tank, it happens that they are lifted accidentally under the effect of the wind for example. Thus, by hitting the edge of the bin when falling back into the closed position, they generate an unpleasant noise for users.

To remedy this problem, it is known to provide rubber stops on the edge of the tank so as to reduce the noise when the covers hit them. However, this only addresses the noise and not what causes it, namely the accidental lifting of the lids.

The invention aims in particular to limit the movement of the lids of a collection bin as defined above under the effect of the wind and to limit the noise resulting from the fall of the lids on the edge of the bin.

To this end, the subject of the invention is a bin for collecting waste comprising a tank provided with a separation wall delimiting a first and a second separate waste storage space, the first and second space being respectively provided with a first and a second cover, the first and second covers being respectively capable of moving from an open position to a closed position by rotation around a common axis of rotation located directly above the separation wall ,
  • each cover comprising respectively, at one of its free edges, a first and a second overlapping skirt,
  • characterized in that said first overlapping skirt overlaps said axis of rotation, the second overlapping skirt overlapping the first overlapping skirt,
  • said first overlap skirt or the second overlap skirt being provided with a retaining element comprising a retaining edge,
  • said first overlapping skirt or the second overlapping skirt being locally extended by a fallen edge disposed facing the retaining edge, the retaining element and the fallen edge being configured so that, during rotation of the first or of the second cover around the axis of rotation to move from the closed position to the open position, the fallen edge cooperates with the retaining edge which constitutes a hard point which can be crossed by the fallen edge by elastic deformation of the fallen edge.

Thanks to the cooperation between the retaining element of the first cover and the fallen edge of the second cover and the fact that the retaining element constitutes a hard point which can be crossed by the fallen edge by elastic deformation of the fallen edge, it is necessary to exert a relatively large torque to open the first and/or the second cover by a significant angle, which is too high to be exerted under the simple effect of the wind.

On the other hand, a user wishing to open the first and/or the second cover will easily manage to exert the necessary torque allowing the fallen edge to cross the hard point constituted by the retaining edge of the retaining element, thanks to the arm of significant leverage between the end of the cover grasped by the user and the axis of rotation of the cover.

Thus the movement of the lids under the effect of the wind is strongly limited while allowing the user to continue to open them easily, significantly reducing the noise resulting from the lids falling on the edge of the bin.

Preferably, the retaining element comprises a first slope and a second slope, the intersection of the first slope and the second slope forming the retaining edge.

Thanks to the presence of the slopes, the fallen edge of the second cover cooperates with one or the other slope of the retaining element, which has the additional advantage of slowing down the fall of the covers when they fall under the effect of gravity, further reducing the noise at least from their impact with the edge of the bin.

According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the first slope, the second slope and the fallen edge are configured so that when moving from the closed position to the open position of the first or second cover, the fallen edge cooperates with the first slope, and that, once the retaining edge has been crossed, when moving from the closed position to the open position of the first or second cover, the fallen edge cooperates with the second slope,

In this way, crossing the first slope constitutes up to the retaining edge constitutes crossing the hard point when moving from the closed position to the open position and the second slope makes it possible to accompany the cover when moving the cover from the open position to the closed position.

Advantageously, the first slope forms, with the plane in which the first or the second cover extends in the closed position, an angle of value greater than the value of the angle formed by the second slope with this same plane.

Thanks to this arrangement, the first slope is sufficiently steep to make it difficult to overcome when opening the cover, while the second slope is gentler to gently accompany the cover when closing, but without hindering the opening of the cover once the retaining edge has been crossed.

According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the retaining edge extends in a direction parallel to the axis of rotation.

In order to simplify the manufacture of the tray, the retaining element is made of material with an external surface of the first cover or an internal surface of the second cover.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the retaining element is a boss projecting from the first overlapping skirt or the second overlapping skirt.

According to another embodiment of the invention, the retaining element is composed of a rib projecting from the first overlapping skirt or the second overlapping skirt, or of a set of parallel ribs projecting from the first overlap skirt or the second overlap skirt, for example two ribs, three ribs or four ribs.

In order to simplify the manufacture of the tray, the fallen edge is made integral with the free end of the first overlapping skirt or the second overlapping skirt and forms an angle at this free end.

According to a particular embodiment of the invention, said first and second overlapping skirts extend from one edge of the tank to the other.

Avantageusement, le passage de l'arête de retenue de l'élément de retenue s'effectue lorsque la rotation du premier ou du second couvercle correspond à une inclinaison du premier ou du second couvercle et le bord de la cuve d'un angle compris entre 1° et 30°, de préférence entre 5° et 25°, par exemple 10 °.Advantageously, the passage of the retaining edge of the retaining element takes place when the rotation of the first or second cover corresponds to an inclination of the first or second cover and the edge of the tank at an angle between 1° and 30°, preferably between 5° and 25°, for example 10°.

Preferably, the first overlapping skirt is provided, at its free end, with a projecting edge.

Advantageously, the first slope and the projecting edge form a concavity of the first overlapping skirt in which the fallen edge is located when the first and the second cover are in the closed position.

In this way, the protruding edge and the fallen edge face each other when the two covers are in the closed position and form a chicane between them. This chicanery makes it possible to prevent water, in particular rainwater or when cleaning the tank, from seeping between the first and second covers.

Preferably, the first and/or the second cover are made of plastic material, preferably of high density polyethylene.

Description détailléedetailed description

We represented at the figure 1 , an upper part, in a vertical direction, of a bin 10 for collecting waste according to a first embodiment of the invention. The tank 10 comprises a tank 12, a first cover 14 and a second cover 16 described below.

The tank 12 has an opening, of substantially square shape, on its upper end, in the vertical direction. In addition, the tank 12 comprises, on a contour delimiting the opening, a collar 18 which makes it possible to mechanically reinforce the tank 12, in particular for its lifting when emptying the tank.

On a portion of this collar 18, at least one, or even two handles 19 fixed so as to allow easy gripping of the tray 10 by an operator. The tank is here essentially made of plastic, namely polyethylene, preferably partially or entirely recycled, but can, according to a variant of this embodiment, comprise another plastic material or metal. The tank 12 comes from an injection molding process and is preferably in one piece.

As we see in figures 3 to 6 , the tank 12 is provided, in its central part, with a separation wall 20 of substantially planar shape. This separation wall 20 delimits, in the tank 12, two distinct spaces, a first space 22 and a second waste storage space 24. The dimensions of the separation wall 20 are adapted so that it defines, in the tank 12, two compartments which do not communicate with one another. Preferably the configuration of the separation wall 20 is also made so that waste introduced into one of the storage spaces 22, 24 cannot reach the other storage space 22, 24, even when the bin 10 is returned, to be emptied for example.

In this first embodiment of the invention, the volumes of the two waste storage spaces 22, 24 are equivalent. For this purpose, the tank being of substantially square section, the separation wall 20 is located on a plane of symmetry of the tank. Of course, any other configuration is possible, and the separation wall 20 can be positioned in the tank 12 so that one of the spaces 22, 24 occupies 60% of the volume of the tank 12 and the other 40%. , or so that one of the spaces 22, 24 occupies 70% of the volume of the tank 12, and the other 30%, etc. The respective volumes of the two storage spaces are not limiting characteristics of the invention.

The first 14 and the second cover 16 are respectively capable of occupying an open position, illustrated in figures 4 to 6 , and a closed position, illustrated in figures 1 and 2 . In the closed position, the covers 14, 16 cover the opening of the tank 12, and in the open position, provide access to it.

The first 14 and/or the second cover 16 can be made of the same material as the tank 12, namely being essentially made of plastic, such as polyethylene, preferably partially or entirely recycled. Preferably, the first 14 and/or the second cover 16 are made of plastic material, preferably of high density polyethylene.

The first 14 and the second cover 16 are pivotally mounted around a common axis of rotation 30 arranged directly above the separation wall 20, as can be seen in the figures 3 to 6 . In the embodiment presented in the figures, the axis of rotation 30 has a substantially cylindrical shape of revolution, and is inserted in bearings 32 located on either side of the tank 12 arranged on the separation wall 20.

Dans pareil cas, chaque demi-axe 30 est porté par un palier 32.It will be noted that the axis of rotation 30 does not necessarily extend from one end to the other of the separation wall 20, in other words from one edge to the other of the tank 12. The axis of rotation 30 can for example be composed of two half-axes arranged on either side of the separation wall 20, near the opposite edges of the tank 12. In such a case, each half-axis 30 is carried by a bearing 32 .

Each cover 14, 16 comprises respectively, at one of its free edges facing the axis of rotation 30, a first 34 and a second overlapping skirt 36.

La seconde jupe de chevauchement 36 chevauche la première jupe de chevauchement 34.The first overlapping skirt 34 overlaps the axis of rotation 30. The second overlap skirt 36 overlaps the first overlap skirt 34.

In the embodiment illustrated by the figures, the axis of rotation 30 having a substantially cylindrical shape of revolution, the overlapping skirts 34, 36 each have an arch shape.

Preferably, the second overlap skirt 36 overlaps the first overlap skirt 34 over only part of the circumference of the ache constituting the second overlap skirt. In particular, so that the first cover 14 can be opened so as to form an angle of more than 45° with the tank 12, in other words with a plane in which the flange 16 of the tank is located, the second overlapping skirt 36 only overlaps the first overlapping skirt 34 at the free end of the first overlapping skirt 34 opposite the free edge of the cover, intended to be grasped by the user.

In the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the first 34 and second 36 overlapping skirts extend from one edge to the other of the tank 12.

In all cases, the axis of rotation 30 and the overlapping skirts 34, 36 are configured so that each of the two covers 14, 16 can be opened independently of the other.

L'arête de retenue 46 s'étend selon une direction parallèle à l'axe de rotation 30.In the embodiment shown in the figures, the first overlap skirt 34 is provided with a retaining element 40 provided with a retaining edge 46. The retaining element 40 projects from a surface external of the first overlapping skirt 34 directed towards the top of the tank 10. The retaining edge 46 extends in a direction parallel to the axis of rotation 30.

More precisely, the retaining element 40 comprises a first slope 42 and a second slope 44 whose intersection forms the retaining edge 46. In a variant not shown, the retaining element 40 can also be made up of a substantially flat wall projecting from the external surface of the first overlapping skirt 34 directed towards the top of the tank 10.

On the figure 1 , the retaining element 40 is made substantially in the center of the tank 10, that is to say halfway between two opposite walls of the tank 12, but of course it can be placed at any position the along the side of the cover, in other words anywhere along the axis of rotation 30.

Preferably, the retaining element 40 is made of material with an external surface 14S of the first cover 14 in order to simplify its manufacture.

Dans le mode de réalisation illustré aux figures 1 à 6, l'élément de retenue 40 est un bossage faisant saillie à partir de la surface externe du premier couvercle 14.In the embodiment illustrated in figures 1 to 6 , the retaining element 40 is a boss projecting from the external surface of the first cover 14.

Preferably, the first slope 42 forms, with the plane in which the first 14 or the second cover 16 extends in the closed position, an angle of value greater than the value of the angle formed by the second slope 44 with this same plan.

The first slope 42 is here substantially flat, in other words forms a ramp. This makes it possible to make the passage of the edge 46 sufficiently difficult so that the cover cannot be opened under the effect of the wind.

On the other hand, the second slope 44 is preferably curved, preferably of convex shape, in order to accompany the second cover 16 in its fall, that is to say in its movement passing from the open position to the closed position , as we will see later.

The second overlapping skirt 36 is locally extended by a fallen edge 48 placed opposite the first slope 42, which is preferably integral with the second overlapping skirt 36.

The fallen edge 48 can for example form an angle at the free end of the second overlapping skirt 36, the cross section of which (according to section III-III which is a section along a plane normal to the axis of rotation) takes locally L-shaped.

The retaining element 40 and the flange 48 are configured so that the flange 48 faces the retaining edge 46.

Furthermore, the retaining element 40 and the flange 48 are configured so that, during the rotation of the first 14 or the second cover 16 around the axis of rotation 30, the flange 48 cooperates with the edge retaining element 46 of the retaining element which constitutes a hard point which can be crossed by the fallen edge 48 by elastic deformation of the fallen edge.

The fallen edge 48 is made of sufficiently deformable material to be able to deform elastically as it passes through the retaining edge 46. This elastic deformation can in particular be obtained when, the second cover 16 being made of plastic material, the fallen edge 48 is sufficiently thin.

On va maintenant décrire la cinématique d'ouverture des premier et second couvercles 14, 16 en référence aux figures 3 à 6.We will now describe the opening kinematics of the first and second covers 14, 16 with reference to the figures 3 to 6 .

In the closed position, shown in Figure 3 for the two covers 14, 16 for example, the fallen edge 48 is located opposite the first slope, but is not in contact with the second slope 44.

When one or the other of the covers 14, 16 opens, the fallen edge 48 is in contact with the first slope 42, which it travels as one of the covers 14, 16 turns around of the axis of rotation 30 to move from the closed position to the open position.

In the case of opening the first cover 14, illustrated in figures 3 And 6 , we understand that it is the retaining element 40 which moves relative to the fallen edge 48.

As we can see in the Figure 4 in particular, if sufficient torque is applied, particularly when it comes to a user who opens the first cover 14, the fallen edge 48, due to its elasticity, manages to cross the retaining edge 46 of the retaining element. On the other hand, if the torque applied is too low, when the torque is exerted under the effect of the wind in particular, either the fallen edge 48 does not reach the retaining edge 46, for example due to the stiffness of the first slope 42, or it fails to cross this hard point.

The passage of the retaining edge of the retaining element is preferably carried out when the rotation of the first or second cover corresponds to an inclination of the first or second cover and the edge of the tank at an angle between 1° and 30°, preferably between 5° and 25°, for example 10°.

Une fois l'arête de retenue 46 franchie, le bord tombé 48 parcourt la seconde pente 44, qui est moins raide que la première pente 42, de façon à ne pas entraver davantage l'ouverture du premier couvercle 14.Once the retaining edge 46 has been crossed, the fallen edge 48 travels the second slope 44, which is less steep than the first slope 42, so as not to further hinder the opening of the first cover 14.

Ainsi, le mouvement de la chute du premier couvercle 14 est ralentie, ce qui limite le bruit lorsque le premier couvercle 14 vient heurter le rebord du bac 10.Then, when closing the first cover 14, in particular when it falls under the effect of gravity, the fallen edge 48 travels the second slope 44 before crossing the retaining edge 46 again in the opposite direction of rotation corresponding to the opening of the first cover 14. The second slope 44 being preferably convex, the movement of the first cover 14 is accompanied continuously in its passage from the open position to the closed position. Thus, the movement of the fall of the first cover 14 is slowed down, which limits the noise when the first cover 14 hits the edge of the container 10.

In the case of opening the second cover 16, illustrated in figures 5 and 6 , we understand that it is the fallen edge 48 which moves relative to the retaining element 40. In the same way as in the case of opening the first cover 14 in particular, if sufficient torque is applied, in particular when it comes to a user who opens the second cover 16, the fallen edge 48, due to its elasticity, manages to cross the retaining edge 46 of the retaining element. On the other hand, if the torque applied is too low, when the torque is exerted under the effect of the wind in particular, either the fallen edge 48 does not reach the retaining edge 46, for example due to the stiffness of the first slope 42, or it fails to cross this hard point.

Ainsi, la chute du premier second couvercle 16 est ralentie, ce qui limite le bruit lorsque le second couvercle 16 vient heurter le rebord du bac 10.Then, when closing the second cover 16, in particular when it falls under the effect of gravity, the fallen edge 48 travels the second slope 44 before crossing the retaining edge 46 again in the opposite direction of rotation corresponding to the opening of the first cover 14. The second slope 44 being preferably convex, the movement of the second cover 16 is accompanied continuously in its passage from the open position to the closed position. Thus, the fall of the first second cover 16 is slowed down, which limits the noise when the second cover 16 hits the edge of the container 10.

The projecting rim 34R can for example form an angle at the free end of the first overlapping skirt 34, the cross section of which (according to section III-III) locally takes the shape of an L directed towards the top of the tray 10 .

The first slope 42 and the projecting edge 34R form a concavity 50 of the first overlapping skirt 34 in which the fallen edge 48 is located when the first 14 and the second cover 16 are in the closed position.

In this way, the protruding edge 34R and the fallen edge 48 face each other and form between them, when the two covers 14, 16 are in the closed position, a baffle 52. This baffle makes it possible to prevent water, in particular the rainwater or when cleaning the tank, from seeping between the first and second covers 14, 16.

In another embodiment illustrated in Figure 7 , the retaining element 40 is formed of one or a plurality of parallel ribs 54 projecting from the external surface of the first overlapping skirt 34, for example two ribs, three ribs or four ribs.

In the embodiment illustrated in Figure 7 , the ribs 54 are three in number and are identical. The ribs 54 are of substantially planar shape, and of triangular cross section in the plane III-III in order to form the first and the second slope 42, 44, which here are substantially planar.

The ribs 54 extend in a plane substantially normal to that of the axis of rotation 30. The retaining edge 46 is here formed from the union of the projecting edges of the ribs 54, and preferably the retaining edge 46 as well formed extends in a direction parallel to the axis of rotation.

The invention is not limited to the embodiments presented and other embodiments will be clear to those skilled in the art.

Thus, the invention also relates to the embodiment in which the retaining element is made on an internal surface of the second cover and cooperates with a fallen edge of the first cover directed towards the internal surface of the second cover and in particular the first slope of the retaining element. The cover kinematics and the resulting advantages described above using the figures apply by analogy.

It could also be envisaged that the bin comprises not two, but for example four storage spaces delimited by four lids going in pairs, each pair being composed of a first and a second lid according to the invention.
