- Appliance (2) according to claim 1, wherein the passage channel (29) has a transverse cross-section which is lower than the transverse cross-section of the backflow funnel (26).
- Appliance (2) according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the reservoir (8) and the backflow funnel (26) form a one-piece part.

- Appliance (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the reservoir (8) is removable.
- Appliance (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the backflow funnel (26) extends substantially vertically when the appliance is disposed on a horizontal support.
- Appliance (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein the insert (27) has a shape substantially complementary to that of the backflow funnel (26).
- Appliance (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the insert (27) comprises a peripheral groove (28), the peripheral groove (28) and the backflow funnel (26) forming the passage channel (29).
- Appliance (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 8, which is an ironing and/or smoothing appliance.
- Appliance (2) according to claim 9, which comprises an ironing and/or smoothing tool (4) which is connected to the vessel (12) by a steam conduit.
