Definitions
- the present invention relates to a self-winding horological movement and to a timepiece, such as a wristwatch, equipped with such a movement.
- the movement of such a watch comprises an oscillating mass which drives a winding gear train connected to the barrel of the watch so as to reset the spring of the barrel while the watch is being worn.
- the oscillating mass is pivotally mounted, so that the movements of the wearer generate angular oscillations of the mass.
- the winding gear train is generally provided with an inversion system which ensures that whatever the direction of rotation of the mass, its movement is transformed into a rotation in one direction, suitable for winding the spring.
- the present invention aims to produce a self-winding watch comprising an oscillating weight, which is provided with a decoration, without suffering from the disadvantages described in the previous paragraph.
- the invention relates to a self-winding mechanical timepiece movement comprising an oscillating mass rotatably mounted on a part of the timepiece movement, characterized in that a decorative disc is attached to the oscillating mass, said disc decorative being driven in rotation by said oscillating mass.
- the disc is fixed to a support which comprises a rod inserted in a bore provided in the axis of rotation of the mass.
- the rod and the bore each comprise a portion of non-circular section corresponding to one another, so that the support and the disc are driven in pivoting by the axis.
- the disc forms a decoration which covers the entire surface of the movement, without requiring complex technical means.
- the decorative disc which covers the mass oscillating over 360 ° creates a moving animation visible to the wearer of the watch from the back of a case with a transparent back.
- the disc is free to move in an axial movement relative to the mass, in particular so that the disc can be easily removed from the mass when the clock movement is outside the watch case. watch.
- Such a configuration makes it possible not only to be able to easily change the decorative disc as a function of demand, but also not to place excessive stress on the axis of the oscillating mass in the event of impacts.
- the principle of easily removing the disc and its support from the axis of the oscillating weight facilitates accessibility to movement, especially on screws and casing flanges.
- a timepiece movement 10 according to one embodiment of the invention is shown in figure 1 .
- the decorative disc 1 is shown in transparency, so as to visualize the oscillating weight 2 below the disc.
- Materials that can be used for the disc 1 are, for example, brass, aluminum, sapphire, ceramic or even any plastic material that is sufficiently rigid to maintain its shape.
- the upper surface of the disc 1 visible to the wearer of the watch may be provided with an illustration such as a drawing or engraving (not shown).
- the decorative disc 1 is fixed for example by gluing to a support 11 which is driven in rotation by the oscillating mass 2.
- the support 11 could be produced in brass.
- the support 11 comprises a circular flat portion 12 and a central rod 13, oriented essentially perpendicular to said circular portion 12.
- the disc 1 is glued to the upper surface of the circular portion 12, coaxially with respect to the circular portion 12 and of the rod 13.
- the rod 13 comprises a first portion 13a of square section whose corners are rounded, and a second cylindrical portion of circular section 13b which follows the first portion 13a when the support 11 is oriented with the circular portion 12 towards the top, as shown in the figure 2 .
- the circular section of the portion 13b is entirely inscribed inside the outer contour of the square section of the portion 13a.
- the support 11 is inserted by its rod 13 into the axis 14 of the oscillating mass 2, said axis 14 being shown in section at the bottom. figure 3 .
- the mass 2 is mounted in a fixed manner on the axis 14, for example by riveting, screwing or any other suitable means.
- the mass 2 is integral with the axis 14, i.e. the mass 2 and the axis 14 form a uniform part.
- the axis 14 is provided with a central bore 15 comprising two portions which correspond to the respective portions of the rod 13: a portion having the shape of a recess with a square section 15a followed by a cylindrical portion with a circular section 15b.
- the corresponding portions of the shank 13 and the bore 15 are inserted into each other, as shown in figure 4 .
- the rod 13 is not fitted tight in the bore 15 but is free to undergo an axial movement by relative to axis 14.
- the freedom of axial movement of the support 11 is limited by the transparent back 17 of the watch case 18, as illustrated in the figure 5 .
- the freedom of movement in the axial direction allows the disc 1 to be easily removed from the mass 2 when the movement is outside the box 18 or when the side of the movement carrying the oscillating mass is accessible while it is in the box 18 for example when the bottom is removed.
- the square section portions 13a and 15a ensure the rotational drive of the disc 1 by the oscillating weight 2. It goes without saying that other shapes of section can be used instead of the square shape of the section of the portions 13a and 15a. Any form of non-circular section and which makes it possible to drive the disk 1 in rotation is possible.
- the circular section portions 13b and 15b are not always essential. According to other embodiments, the rod 13 and the hole 15 consist entirely of cylindrical portions with a non-circular section. However, if the technology used to manufacture the portions with a non-circular section does not allow high precision to be achieved, the decorative disc 1 risks tilting relative to the hole 15 and the edge of the disc 1 could come into contact with the mass. 2. This is why it is advantageous to provide the portions 13b and 15b with a circular section which they can be produced with greater precision because of their less complex shape. In this way, the circular section portions 13b and 15b, manufactured with high precision, will ensure the guiding of the disc 1 in the axial direction, to prevent the peripheral edge of the decorative disc 1 from coming into contact with the mass 2.
- the support 11 is provided with a central portion in the form of a cylindrical stud 20 which protrudes from the upper surface of the support 11, and which is arranged in a central opening of the decorative disc 1, facilitating the coaxial assembly of the disc 1 and the support 11.
- the distal end of the stud 20 comprises an upper surface rounded and the stud 20 protrudes from the upper surface of the disc 1. Therefore, and as illustrated in figure 5 , the contact between the bottom 17 of the watch case 18 and the assembly of the support 11 and of the disc 1 is limited to this rounded surface 20, thus minimizing the friction between said assembly and the bottom 17 of the case 18 and thereby even reducing energy losses when winding the movement by the oscillating weight.
- the scope of the invention is not limited to the combination of the characteristics of the embodiment shown in the figures.
- the freedom of axial movement of the disc 1 is preferable but the invention also covers embodiments according to which the disc is held in the axial direction by a suitable fixing means, for example a locking system which locks the rod 13 in. the hole 15.
- a suitable fixing means for example a locking system which locks the rod 13 in. the hole 15.
- the connection between the disc 1 and the oscillating mass 2, whether or not allowing axial movement of the disc, could be made by other technical means equivalent to the support 11, the rod 13 and the hole 15.

Abstract
Description
figure 1 .
figure 4 .
figure 5 .
