This configuration is advantageous in that it is easy and cheap to manufacture and assemble, while allowing a precise and continuous adjustment of the mutual distance between the ring 121 and the cap 122, which results in a fine adjustment of the flow rate of air and gases.

This advantageously allows to absorb ethylene gas produced by certain fruits in order to preserve their freshness, and thus preventing them from rotting quickly and improving the performances of the humidity control device 120.
