Further on, between the substantially flat side (25', 25") and the side (30', 30") with one groove of the plastic profile, a side (36', 36") is formed comprising a tongue (31', 31") for fixing the edge of the inner folded metal sheet (15', 15") to the plastic profile (16', 16"). Said tongue on one edge is connected to the plastic profile and the other edge is free. A gap is formed from the joined edge to the free edge between the tongue (31' 31") and the surface of the plastic profile on which the tongue (31', 31") is formed.
- the tongue (31', 31") is elastically deformed.

- said tongue (31', 31") returns to its original non-deformed state or less deformed state during which the tongue forces the edge of the inner folded metal sheet (15', 15") to the side of the plastic profile and the interaction of said groove (33', 33") and said bulge (32', 32") does not allow the said edge of the folded metal sheet (15', 15") to be pulled out of the said gap until the retraction force does not exceed the force of the tongue's resistance to deformation and engagement between the said bulge and the said groove.
- outer folded metal sheet (13, 13', 13") and the inner folded metal sheet (15, 15', 15") are interconnected through plastic profiles (16.1, 16.2, 16.3, 16.4, 16', 16") as described above and so as not to have direct contact points between said two folded metal sheets.

- the locking mechanism further comprises a second portion (115) that is attached to the inner metal folded piece (116) of the strut (106) of ventilation installation's housing.
- the second portion (115) comprises housing with holes for screws for attachment to the strut (106), a static part of the locking and retracting mechanism comprising a member for interaction of the controlled part with the static part.
- the interaction member of the controlled portion can be a tongue, a pin or other element that through interaction with a static part, such as a cavity therein, allows to retract the door of the installation's housing and to lock it. As the entire door lock mechanism is attached on the outside of installation's housing and not inside the door and housing panels, a cold bridge is avoided.
- the door lock mechanism has three positions: a fully closed door, ajar door and a fully opened door.
- the fully closed door position the door is tightly closed and locked in relation to the housing of the installation.
- the door lock mechanism which is operated through the handle allows a distance of several millimeters between the housing of the air handling unit and the door to allow air pressure inside the air handling unit to equalize with the atmospheric pressure.
- the door lock mechanism prevents the door from opening more than it is required to safely equalize the said pressures.
- Door hinges are attached to the outer surface of the outer folded sheet of the door and the outer surface of the housing strut avoiding the cold bridge.
- plastic profiles are multi-chamber plastic profiles.
- the air handling unit is formed of at least three sections one of which is for the heat exchanger.
- the air flow restriction and diverting sections are connected to this section on both sides as described above.
- an unlimited number of air flow restriction and diverting sections with different equipment can be mounted on both sides of the heat exchanger section.
