Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a panel element according to the preamble of patent claim 1 and to a furniture construction system with such panel elements and with connecting elements. It also relates to furniture and other two- or three-dimensional structures that are produced with the components, in particular the panel elements and the connecting elements of such a furniture construction system.
  • Variable furniture systems are mainly used today in the office area and in trade fair construction.
  • For private consumers on the other hand, there are mainly modular systems made of prefabricated furniture available on the market.
  • this prefabricated furniture is delivered to the private consumer preassembled at home and set up there by specialists, whereas the private consumer receives the individual components in compact packaging for low-priced furniture in a pick-up market and then has to assemble these components himself into a piece of furniture at home.
  • the components are designed and put together in such a way that only a very specific piece of furniture can be assembled with them. If the private consumer moves and this piece of furniture does not fit into his new apartment, the piece of furniture is usually no longer usable for him.
  • a known furniture construction system for the office area comprises edge tubes which are assembled with junction elements to form a framework, with surface elements being insertable in cutouts formed between the edge tubes.
  • a set for assembling furniture which consists of plate elements and edge elements known as intermediate elements, the edge elements are provided with mounting tabs, which are called supports and which are arranged in pairs on an edge element in such a way that they accommodate a mounting portion of a plate element between them .
  • a fastening element fixes the plate element between the mounting sections arranged in pairs.
  • the furniture built with this known furniture construction set thus always has an edge element between two plate elements which extends along the contact edges of two adjacent plate elements that are connected to one another. At the corners, several edge elements can be connected to one another by means of node elements to form a spatial structure of edge elements.
  • the DE 198 27 597 A1 discloses a shelf made of assemblable panels, in which the respective panel is bevelled at two edges facing away from each other on both surface sides at an angle of 45 ° and forms contact surfaces in the beveled area.
  • a shelf is formed from vertically and horizontally arranged panels that touch one another on the beveled contact surfaces and that are joined there with pins. Only an open shelf can be built using these panels.
  • the DE 25 11 767 A1 shows and describes a clamp for easy and quick to produce miter connection of parts for furniture carcasses.
  • two board elements lying next to one another with a miter surface at a 90 ° angle are provided with a groove running parallel to the connecting edge at a distance from one of their connecting edges.
  • a spring clip encompasses the one thus formed

It also relates to furniture and other two- or three-dimensional structures that are produced with the components, in particular the panel elements and the connecting elements of such a furniture construction system.

HINTERGRUND DER ERFINDUNGBACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Variable furniture systems are mainly used today in the office area and in trade fair construction. For private consumers, on the other hand, there are mainly modular systems made of prefabricated furniture available on the market. In the case of high-priced furniture, this prefabricated furniture is delivered to the private consumer preassembled at home and set up there by specialists, whereas the private consumer receives the individual components in compact packaging for low-priced furniture in a pick-up market and then has to assemble these components himself into a piece of furniture at home. The components are designed and put together in such a way that only a very specific piece of furniture can be assembled with them. If the private consumer moves and this piece of furniture does not fit into his new apartment, the piece of furniture is usually no longer usable for him.

A known furniture construction system for the office area comprises edge tubes which are assembled with junction elements to form a framework, with surface elements being insertable in cutouts formed between the edge tubes.

STAND DER TECHNIKSTATE OF THE ART

From the DE 10 2004 002 394 A1 a set for assembling furniture is known, which consists of plate elements and edge elements known as intermediate elements, the edge elements are provided with mounting tabs, which are called supports and which are arranged in pairs on an edge element in such a way that they accommodate a mounting portion of a plate element between them . A fastening element fixes the plate element between the mounting sections arranged in pairs. The furniture built with this known furniture construction set thus always has an edge element between two plate elements which extends along the contact edges of two adjacent plate elements that are connected to one another. At the corners, several edge elements can be connected to one another by means of node elements to form a spatial structure of edge elements.

Mittels dieser Platten ist nur ein offenes Regal baubar.the DE 198 27 597 A1 discloses a shelf made of assemblable panels, in which the respective panel is bevelled at two edges facing away from each other on both surface sides at an angle of 45 ° and forms contact surfaces in the beveled area. A shelf is formed from vertically and horizontally arranged panels that touch one another on the beveled contact surfaces and that are joined there with pins. Only an open shelf can be built using these panels.

Eine Federklammer umgreift die so gebildetethe DE 25 11 767 A1 shows and describes a clamp for easy and quick to produce miter connection of parts for furniture carcasses. In this case, two board elements lying next to one another with a miter surface at a 90 ° angle are provided with a groove running parallel to the connecting edge at a distance from one of their connecting edges. A spring clip encompasses the one thus formed

Corner connection, the spring clip having two legs extending at right angles to one another, at the respective end of which a hook section angled inwards at right angles is provided. This hook section at the respective end of the leg engages in the associated groove so that the spring clip holds the corner connection together due to its spring force. It is also known from this to provide the abutting panel elements with a recess at their respective end section pointing towards the connecting edge, into which one leg of the spring clip can enter.

From the DE 26 17 614 A1 Composite structural elements for forming pieces of furniture are known in which individual panel elements are connected to one another by means of connecting elements. For this purpose, the connecting elements are inserted into bores of paired bores which are provided in an end face of the respective panel element and whose respective axis runs parallel to the panel surface. The distance between the first hole closest to the edge of a hole pairing and the edge of the panel element is exactly half the distance between the second hole in this hole pairing and the closest first hole in an adjacent hole pairing.

A shows and describes a corner connector for the end-face connection of two panel elements. The corner connector is an extruded part with a central rib structure from which side strips extend to each side. An innermost pair of sidebars is provided in order to be inserted into adapted recesses which extend at the edge of the respective panel over the length of the end faces of the panels to be connected to their lateral edges.

DARSTELLUNG DER ERFINDUNGDISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION

The object of the present invention is to provide a generic panel element of a furniture construction system with which the greatest possible variability is made possible with as few components as possible and which is used in a furniture construction system Construction of a variety of two- or three-dimensional structures, in particular furniture, made possible in a cost-effective manner, as well as specifying a furniture construction system with such panels.

This object is achieved by the panel element with the features of claim 1 and the furniture construction system with the features of claim 2.

A panel element for a furniture system, which is delimited by four connecting edges, which lie in a connecting edge plane, each of the connecting edges being adjoined by a connecting surface which extends in each case in a connecting surface plane, the respective connecting surface plane at a miter angle greater than 0 ° and is less than 90 °, is inclined to the connecting edge plane, wherein the panel elements are provided with at least one recess for receiving a leg of a panel connector in the area of each connecting surface, is characterized in that the at least one recess on an outside or on an inside of the panel element is formed at a distance from the lateral edge of the panel element, that in the case of two or more adjacent recesses (i) located in the region of a connecting surface, the distance from the lateral edge of the panel element to the closest recess is half the distance between that of the lateral The recess closest to the edge and which corresponds to this adjacent recess and (ii) the distance between two adjacent recesses corresponds to twice the distance from the lateral edge of the panel element to the nearest recess.

A furniture construction system with such panel elements and with connecting elements is characterized in that the panel elements can be joined together by means of the connecting elements at the connecting edges to form a two-dimensional or three-dimensional structure, and that panel connectors are provided as connecting elements which have at least two legs, one of which in each case is mechanically connectable to one of the panel elements.

VORTEILEADVANTAGES

The furniture system according to the invention makes it possible to assemble a two- or three-dimensional structure exclusively from table elements and connecting elements according to the invention, since the table elements are designed identically in the area of their connecting edges and connecting surfaces and can thus be joined together in almost any way. For this purpose, the recesses provided at a distance from the respective lateral edge are arranged in the same way, preferably symmetrically, in the area of the connecting surfaces along each connecting edge. The inventive positioning of the recesses enables almost any combination of table elements.

Weitere bevorzugte und vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungsmerkmale des erfindungsgemäßen Möbelbausystems sind Gegenstand der Unteransprüche 3 bis 9.Further preferred and advantageous design features of the furniture construction system according to the invention are the subject matter of subclaims 3 to 9.

Preferably, first panel elements are provided which have connecting edges on their entire circumference and connecting surfaces adjoining them and which form the basic panel elements. These basic table elements can be joined together at each of their edges with another table element having corresponding connecting surfaces and therefore allow particular freedom of design.

Second panel elements, which only have connecting edges on part of their circumference and connecting surfaces adjoining them, form panel support elements that can be used in a preferred manner to support a two- or three-dimensional structure on a substrate or on a wall. The edges of these panel support elements, which are not designed as connecting edges, adjoin support surfaces which preferably extend at right angles to the connecting edge plane and on which the structure is supported.

Particularly preferred is an embodiment in which the table elements, in particular the basic table elements, are square or semi-square Have circumferential contour. This creates a grid for the furniture system that allows the panel elements to be combined to form spatial shapes in almost any way. The edge length of the short connecting edge of a half-square board element corresponds exactly to half the edge length of the long connecting edge, which in turn is the same length as the connecting edges of a square board element. If different sized types of panel elements are provided, then the connecting edge length of a next larger square panel element is twice as long as the connecting edge length of a smaller square panel element.

The miter angle is preferably 45 °. In this way, rectangular spatial structures or flat structures can be created.

If the miter angle is 60 °, basic hexagonal shapes can be created.

To produce planar structures, it is advantageous if table support strips are provided as connecting elements, each of which has at least two table support surfaces that are designed to be able to come into flat contact with one connection surface of adjacent table elements.

In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the connecting edges are formed on the surface of the panel element which forms an outer side of the associated panel element.

It is advantageous if the at least one recess for receiving a leg of the panel connector is provided on the outside of the panel element. The depth of the recess is preferably dimensioned such that it corresponds to the thickness of the leg, so that when the leg is inserted into the recess, a flat surface results on the outside of the panel element. Alternatively, the legs of the panel connector can also be on the inside of the panel elements provided recesses can be used so that the panel connectors are not visible from the outside.

The invention further relates to a multi-dimensional structure according to claim 10, in particular a piece of furniture which is assembled by means of panel elements and connecting elements of the furniture construction system according to the invention.

Preferred exemplary embodiments of the invention with additional design details and further advantages are described and explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

DARSTELLUNG VON BEVORZUGTEN AUSFÜHRUNGSBEISPIELENPRESENTATION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Fig. 1 shows a square panel element 1 of a furniture construction system according to the invention from its outside 10 in plan view. This panel element 1 is delimited by four connecting edges 101, 102, 103, 104 of equal length. On each of the connecting edges, recesses 130, 131, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137 are formed at a lateral distance from one another, which extend from the surface of the Outside 10 penetrate into the material of the panel element 1 in the thickness direction. A through hole 140, 141, 142, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147 is made in the panel element 1 in each recess 130, 131, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137. The arrangement of the recesses 130, 131, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137 along the respective connecting edge 101, 102, 103, 104 is the same at all connecting edges 101, 102, 103, 104. The distance b between two adjacent recesses 130, 131 located on a connecting edge 101, 102, 103, 104 corresponds to this; 132, 133; 134, 135; 136, 137 twice the distance a from the side edge of the panel element 1 to the nearest recess. If there are more than two recesses provided along a connecting edge, the distance b between the adjacent recesses is preferably the same. Instead of measuring the distances a and b from their respective lateral edge, they can also be measured from a center line of the respective recess 130, 131, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137 at right angles to the respective connecting edge 101, 102, 103, 104 are measured, which preferably runs centrally through the respective associated through-hole 140, 141, 142, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147. The ratio of the distances (b = 2a) does not change as a result. As can be seen in the figures, the width of the recesses 130, 131, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137, measured parallel to the respective associated connecting edge 101, 102, 103, 104, is the same. The depth of the recesses 130, 131, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137, measured at right angles to the respective associated connecting edge 101, 102, 103, 104, is preferably the same, as the figures show. As can also be seen from the figures, the distance between the through-bores 140, 141, 142, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147 (center of the hole) of the respectively assigned connecting edge 101, 102, 103, 104 is also the same.

Fig. 2 shows a half-square panel element 1 ', the outside 10' of which corresponds in terms of its dimensions to 50% of the area of the outside 10 of the square panel element 1. The short connecting edges 102 ', 104' are thus each half as long as a long connecting edge 101 ', 103'. The recesses 130 ', 131', 132 ', 134', 135 ', 137' and the through bores 140 ', 141', 142 ', 144', 145 ', 147' are arranged in an analogous manner to the square panel element 1, as in Fig. 2 it can be seen where the same reference numerals denote the analog components and in Fig. 2 to distinguish it from those in Fig. 1 with an apostrophe are provided. Thus, as can be seen from the figures, for the in Fig. 2 The panel element 1 'shown has the same geometrical properties as in relation to the panel element 1 of FIG Fig 2 have been described.

Fig. 3 shows the panel element 1 from its inner side 12 and facing away from the outer side 10 Fig. 4 shows the semi-square panel element 1 'from its inside 12' facing away from its outside 10 '. The design of the panel element 1 or 1 'on the inside thereof is illustrated below with reference to FIG Fig. 3 described, whereby these explanations are analogous for the in Fig. 4 shown half-square panel element 1 'apply.

The surface of the inner side 12 is delimited by four inner edges 121, 122, 123, 124, which are each shorter than the adjacent outer edges 101, 102, 103, 104. This means that the transition from the respective outer edge 101, 102, 103 , 104 (in Fig. 4 : 101 ', 102', 103 ', 104') to the respective inner edge 121, 122, 123, 124 (in Fig. 4 : 121 ', 122', 123 ', 124') in the thickness direction of the panel element 1 has an inclined connecting surface 111, 112, 113, 114 (in Fig. 4 : 111 ', 112', 113 ', 114').

As in Fig. 5 can be seen, the respective connecting surface 111, 112, 113, 114 spans a connecting surface plane E 2 , E 3 , E 4 , E 5 , which each at a miter angle α to a connecting edge plane spanned by the connecting edges 101, 102, 103, 104 E 1 stands. This miter angle α is 45 ° in the preferred embodiment shown, in which the panel elements 1 can be used to design structures with surfaces at right angles to one another. But it is also possible to choose a different miter angle; For example, if a hexagonal structure is to be created, the miter angle is 60 °.

Fig. 6 shows a section through the panel element 1 in the area of the recesses 132, 137 and there it can be seen that the respective recess 132, 137 extends up to about 50% of the thickness d of the panel element 1 into the material of the panel element 1. This penetration depth d 1 of the respective recess corresponds essentially to the thickness D 1 of a leg 20, 22 of a connecting element, as shown in FIG Fig. 7 is shown, for example, as an angle connecting element with a 90 ° angle in a perspective view. The connecting element 2 is provided with two legs 20, 22 standing at right angles to one another, the width, length and thickness of which are attached to the recesses 130, 131, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137 of the square panel element 1 or to the corresponding recesses 130 ', 131', 132 ', 134', 135 ', 137' of the semi-square panel element 1 'are adapted so that each leg 20, 22 of the connecting element 2 can be inserted flush into a corresponding recess.

Fig. 8 shows a corner connection in which two panel elements 1A, 1B abut one another at two of their connecting surfaces 114A, 112B and form a right angle, a right-angled connecting element 2A being inserted flush into the recesses 137A and 132B. Fastening screws 24, 26 are inserted with their respective cylindrical screw heads 24 ', 26' into a corresponding countersunk hole 21, 23 which is made on the outside of the respective leg 20, 22 of the connecting element 2. The respective shank 24 ", 26" of the screw 24, 26 penetrates a through hole 21 ', 23' in the respective leg 20, 22 of the connecting element 2 and the associated through hole 147A, 142A in the respective panel element 1A and 1B. A nut 25, 27 is screwed onto the associated screw 24, 26 on the respective inner side 12A, 12B of the panel elements 1A, 1B, whereby the connecting element 2A is attached to the respective panel element 1A, 1B and the two panel elements 1A, 1B to each other at right angles are excited.

In this way it is with corresponding angle connecting elements 2, 2A, the angle of which is adapted to the miter angle α in such a way that the leg angle β between the two legs 20, 22 of the connecting element 2 corresponds to the double miter angle α, and which are inserted flush into the associated recesses in the area of the opposing connecting edges of two panel elements to be assembled, it is possible in a purely mechanical manner to connect the two panel elements 1A, 1B in a stable yet detachable manner.

Fig. 9 shows a modified form of a connecting element 202, which is designed as a cross connecting element and with which it is possible to connect crosswise abutting panel elements with one another. This connecting element 202 has two thinner legs 220, 222, the dimensions of which are the legs 20 and 22 Fig. 7 are equivalent to. These two thinner legs 220, 222 are at right angles to one another. The other two legs 224, 226 are made twice as thick, but otherwise have the same dimensions as the legs 220, 222. The thickness D 2 of the thicker legs 224, 226 corresponds to twice the thickness D 1 of the thinner legs 220, 222.

The use of such a connecting element 202 is shown in FIG Fig. 10 shown. The thinner connecting element 220, 222 each engages in a recess 230, 231 of a panel element 101A, 101B, as is the case in connection with the exemplary embodiment of FIG Figures 7 and 8 is shown and described, however, the two panel elements 201A and 201B do not abut one another with their connecting surfaces. The fastening of the connecting element 202 to the panel elements 101A and 101B takes place in the same way as was already done in connection with FIG Fig. 8 has been described. In the area of the thick legs 224, 226, two panel elements 201C, 201D; 201E, 201F are provided, which with their outer sides 210C, 210D; 210E, 210F bear against one another so that their recesses 232, 233; 234, 235 face one another and form a double-thickness recess into which the associated thick leg 224, 226 of the connecting element 2 can then be inserted. In Fig. 10 it can be seen that the screws 223 for connecting the two panel elements 201C, 201D or 201E, 201F, which rest against one another with their respective outer sides, are longer than the short screws 221, which connect a single panel element 201A, 201B to the associated (thin) leg 220, 222 of the connecting element 202, are twice as long as the short screws 221.

In a modification, not shown, of the cross connection element 202, a cross connection element is created in which all four legs have the greater thickness D 2 , so that two panel elements can be attached to each of the four (thick) legs with their outer side abutting one another, like this in Figure 10A is shown at the thick legs 224 and 226.

The right connecting edge 302 of the first (left) panel element 301A is in contact with the left connecting edge 304 of the second (right) panel element 301B. A wedge-shaped table support strip 300 is inserted flush in the gap formed by the two opposing connecting surfaces 303, 305 of the first table element 301A and the second table element 301B and completely fills the V-shaped gap between the two table elements 301A and 301B. For this purpose, the table support strip 300 is triangular in cross-section as a right-angled triangle, the right angle being included between the inclined side surfaces 300 ', 300 "forming the two table support surfaces. In the region of the tip of this triangular cross-section, the table support strip 300 is provided with a recess 306 which is adapted in its width to the recesses of the panel elements 301A, 301B. The recess 332 of the first panel element 301A, the recess 306 in the panel support strip 300 and the recess 337 in the second panel element 301B are, as in FIG Fig. 13 can be seen, aligned with one another, so that a flat connecting element 320 can be placed in these three recesses, as shown in FIG Fig. 11 is shown.

The planar connecting element 320 forms two legs 320 ′, 320 ″ which are of equal length and merge into one another, and are three in a row next to one another arranged through holes 321, 322, 323 which open into a respective countersunk hole 324, 325, 326 and which, as in the example of Fig. 7 are designed for countersunk receiving a corresponding screw. The two outer through-bores 321, 323 of the flat connecting element 320 are aligned with the bores 342, 347 in the respective recess 332, 337 of the first panel element 301A and the second panel element 301B and the middle through-hole 322 of the flat connecting element 320 is aligned with one in the recess 306 of the table support strip 300 provided through hole 307. In this way, the planar connecting element 320 can be screwed both to the first panel element 301A and to the second panel element 301B as well as to the table support strip 300 arranged between these two panel elements, which is indicated by the dash-dotted lines in Fig. 11 is symbolized, so that after screwing, a fixed connection between the panel elements 301A, 301B and the panel support strip 300 and the flat connecting element 320 is formed and a flat panel is created in which the panel element 301A merges with the panel element 301B.

Fig. 14 shows a T-shaped connecting element 402, which has two thin legs 420, 422 lying in a common plane with the leg thickness D 1 and a thick leg 424 with the thickness D 2 extending at right angles thereto. The legs 420, 422, 424 are provided with countersunk holes and through bores for the connecting screws, as has already been done in connection with the examples of FIG Fig. 7 and 12th has been described.

By means of this T-shaped connector, a T-shaped panel structure can be created as shown in FIG Fig. 15 is shown as an excerpt. The two thin legs 420, 422 engage in an associated recess 432 or 437 of the horizontally aligned panel elements 401A, 401B touching each other with their connecting edges 401, 403 and are screwed to these panel elements in the manner already described. Two further panel elements 401C and 401D lie against one another with their outer sides 410C and 410D and define between them in the region of their recesses 433, 435 a cavity in which the thick leg 424 of the T-shaped connecting element 402 engages. This thick leg 424 is also screwed to the two panel elements 401C and 401D in the manner already described, so that a stable T-shaped structure is formed from the panel elements 401A, 401B, 401C and 401D.

Fig. 16 shows a blind plug 502, which has the shape of a thin leg of a connecting element, but is beveled on one side at the miter angle α. This blind plug 502 can be inserted into a recess 503 of a panel element 501 in order to close this recess if it is not required for the insertion of a connecting element. The dummy plug 502 is also fastened to the panel element 501 with a screw in the manner already described.

Fig. 17 shows a connecting element in the form of a revolving door fitting 602, which has two legs 620, 622 connected to one another so as to be pivotable about a pivot axis A. This revolving door fitting is in Fig. 18 reproduced in perspective. A leg 620 of the revolving door fitting 602 is designed as a stationary leg which is connected to a first panel element 601A in the manner already described, which is indicated by the dash-dotted line in FIG Fig. 17 is symbolized. The stationary leg 620 has a double thickness D 2 and, when inserted into a corresponding recess 632 of the panel element 601A, protrudes from the outer surface 610A of the panel element 601A. This protrusion is technically necessary in order to enable the pivoting of the other panel element 601B to be described. This other panel element 601B is also connected to the thin leg 622 of the revolving door fitting 602 in the known manner, which is also symbolically represented here by the dash-dotted line. For this purpose, this second leg of smaller thickness D 1 is inserted into a corresponding recess 634 of the second panel element 601B, which forms a pivotable door. The thin limb 622 and the thick limb 620 each have a joint section 621, 623 which is each provided with hinge elements 621 ', 623' which alternately interlock and are penetrated by a joint axis 624 which forms the pivot axis A.

Fig. 19 finally shows a section from a cube, which by means of the panel elements 1A, 1B, 1C and 90 ° angle connectors according to the invention as connecting elements 2A, 2B, 2C, as they are in connection with the Figures 7 and 8 shown and described is composed.

The invention is not limited to those in the Figures 1 and 2 shown embodiments of panel elements, but it includes all panel elements that can be obtained by multiplying, for example by doubling, the two edge lengths of both the square panel element 1 and the semi-square panel element 1 'with a corresponding multiplication of the recesses 130, 131, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137 or 130 ', 131', 132 ', 133', 134 ', 135', 136 ', 137' can be created. The square version (and the longer edge of the half-square version) can also be multiplied by a factor of 1.5 or 2.5, etc. In the case of a half-square design, it is also possible to multiply only the longer edge or to multiply the longer edge with a different factor than the shorter edge. It is crucial that the above-mentioned geometric positioning of the recesses - regardless of the respective edge length - any joining of panel elements of the furniture system according to the invention - flat or at an angle to each other - are possible in a way in which there are always recesses on the abutting connecting edges of two Adjacent panel elements are opposite one another, so that the adjacent panel elements can be joined together by means of a connecting element. In this way it is possible to mount panel elements along the connecting edges offset to one another.
