Abstract

The mechanism for lifting of the boarding plates (2) of a wagon for transportation of cars contains at least two linear drives (1), which are connected to the input shaft (3), which fulfils also a function of linear drive (1) support. During rotation of the input shaft (3), the linear drives (1) push the contact stops (4), and thus the boarding plate (2) is lifted. The contact stops (4) are connected to the linear drives (1) by means of the articulated joint (5), so that it is possible, during lifting and lowering of the boarding plate (2), to change their inclination so that the whole surface of the contact stops (4) is always in contact with the boarding plate (2).
By rotating the input shaft (3), the contact stops (4) are pushed away or pulled together, and thus height of the boarding plate (2) is modified.

Description

    Technical field
  • The technical solution relates to the mechanism for lifting the boarding plates of railway wagons designed for transportation of cars, which enables loading and unloading of cars with small ground clearance without a risk of collision of car chassis and overhangs with parts of the wagon deck.
  • Background art
  • Well known solution is lifting of the boarding plates of car transportation railway freight wagons by means of a mechanism consisting of four screw raisers located under the boarding plate and driven by a system of seven gear units.
  • The document GB995136 A published on 1965-06-16 describes a railway wagon with a frame, which is created as a wagon deck. On one end of the deck, there is mounted a movable platform with coupling elements for coupling the wagon with another wagon, whereby the platform is rotary mounted at the end of the frame in the way that the platform can be moved between the upper and the bottom position under the wagon floor. It is arranged so that in the bottom position the coupling element is parallel to the horizontal or basically horizontal plane.
  • The document FR2473974 A1 published on 1981-07-24 describes a wagon, which contains portable platforms for manual manipulation with positioning projections for connecting to the wagon end. The platforms protrude above the buffers in order to connect a platform at the wagon end or some other end freight wagon. The platforms are located higher than the wagon floor and near to the container floor. The platform is hanged at the wagon end.
  • The document EP0518750 A1 published on 1992-12-16 describes a wagon that has an end ramp, which is connected to the buffer by means of an articulation joint around the transverse horizontal axis, whereby the ramp is equipped with rails for loading and unloading of bogies. The ramp is lifted or lowered by means of a motor pump with a hydraulic control system and with a reversible engine, which passes through a chain and a cogged gear. The hydraulic system can contain cylinders, which lift and lower the ramp.
  • The document DE2447576 A1 published on 1976-04-08 describes a wagon with a loading platform for freight wagons. The bearing platform is built between two adjacent freight wagons standing one after another and which are equipped, on their bottom side, with supporting bearings that are located above the buffer bearings, or they have bearing sleeves, which reach over the individual compensating bushing. This equipment provides a firm attachment of the loading platform between two adjacent freight wagons so that it is possible to drive during loading and unloading operations. The support bearings have guiding boards on those ends facing the bottom side of the loading platform, which interfere with the sliding guiding elements attached to the platform.
  • The document US2003110975 A1 published on 2003-06-19 describes a wagon with a loading platform, where the ramp control mechanism for rail vehicle has the first cylinder, the second cylinder and a clutch in order to achieve movement to the lifted position. The first double-acting cylinder causes that the second double-acting cylinder moves the arm and the coupling to the lowered position, when the first cylinder moves the ramp to the open position. The first cylinder causes that the second cylinder moves the arm and the lifting device relocates it to the lifted position, when the first cylinder moves the ramp to the transportation position. The device is used for loading and unloading of cargo, e.g. a semi-trailer from the train. The mechanism reduces ramp impacts. It reduces the operational pressure necessary for lifting and lowering of the ramp, and thus it reduces consumption of compressed air per one operational cycle.
  • All described solutions of the state of the art include several disadvantages, mainly a difficult construction and using of complicated parts or solutions, which are not controllable and have to be manually placed to the required place.
  • Summary of the Invention
  • Shortcomings specified in the state of the art are removed by the invention described in this application, whereby the nature of the technical solution relates to the mechanism for lifting of the boarding plates of a wagon for transportation of cars, which contains two linear drives, which are connected to the input shaft, which fulfils also a function of linear drive support. During rotation of the input shaft, the linear drives push the contact stops, and thus the boarding plate is lifted. The contact stops are connected to the linear drives by means of the articulated joint so that it is possible, during the lifting and lowering of the boarding plate to change their inclination so that the whole surface of the contact stops is always in contact with the boarding plate.
  • By rotating the input shaft, the contact stops are pushed away or pulled together and thus height of the boarding plate is modified.
  • An advantage of this mechanism is represented by application of two linear drives instead of four screw raisers and seven gear units.
  • Review of figures in the drawings
    • Fig. 1 displays the linear drives.
    • Fig. 2 and 3 display the boarding plate in the bottom and the upper position (without the wagon body).
Examples of embodiment of the technical solution
  • The mechanism for lifting of the boarding plates 2 of a wagon for transportation of cars contains at least two linear drives 1, which are connected to the input shaft 3, which fulfils also a function of linear drive 1 support. During rotation of the input shaft 3, the linear drives 1 push the contact stops 4, and thus the boarding plate 2 is lifted. The contact stops 4 are connected to the linear drives 1 by means of the articulated joint 5, so that it is possible, during lifting and lowering of the boarding plate 2, to change their inclination so that the whole surface of the contact stops 4 is always in contact with the boarding plate 2.
  • By rotating the input shaft 3, the contact stops 4 are pushed away or pulled together, and thus height of the boarding plate 2 is modified.
  • Application in the industry
  • The mechanism for lifting of the wagon boarding plates is suitable for freight railway wagons designed for transportation of cars. The mechanism enables loading and unloading of cars with small ground clearance without a risk of collision of car chassis and overhangs with parts of the wagon deck. The mechanism consisting of small amount of parts is also suitable for wagons that have only restricted areas for installation of boarding plate control mechanisms.
